A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the project manager for a government department.
What challenge were you trying to address with Neusol LLC?
We hired Neusol LLC to help with various web and mobile solutions based on our requirements.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Along with offering smart services, the team at Neusol LLC develops different solutions, such as web portals, mobile apps, and websites. They also do integrations with third parties like payment gateways.
For web portals, we use SharePoint 2013, and we wanted to add more features. Our team gave them the requirements to modify, update the portal, and add the features. This complies with specific criteria. There are also some requirements from the payment gateway to update the portal with newer technology.
We also are using a customized application built on top of SharePoint 2013. It’s also connected with some web services that feed a mobile app. They’re modifying the .NET application and backend as well.
What is the team composition?
Depending on the project, I interacted with four to five people onsite. Most of their team supports us offshore. If it’s necessary for more people to come here, they are here for 1–2 weeks, depending on the solution.
How did you come to work with Neusol LLC?
I wasn’t involved in the selection process.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Neusol LLC started in July 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their team is full of experienced people that can deliver a product when needed. If the client wants more features, they’re also flexible with that. The team at Neusol LLC tried to solve it as soon as possible to satisfy the client. We’re happy with 80% of the work they’ve done.
How did Neusol LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team tries to align with timelines, putting more resources on a project to ensure it is being delivered on time. They also deliver the documents required efficiently. We communicate through email and telephone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team at Neusol LLC meets expectations and requirements. They’re skilled with the technology we’re using. Compared to other vendors, they’re excellent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m not positive with what the 20% in lacking. It requires more thinking, so I can’t answer that right now.

Revamped Mobile Application for Government Ministry
"...Neusol stands out when it comes to change requests and maintenance and support."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a software specialist for a health ministry. My job is to oversee the technical development of mobile, SharePoint, and .NET applications. This involves ensuring that our web applications comply with the ministry’s guidelines, and that everything is okay from a technical standpoint.
What challenge were you trying to address with Neusol?
We were revamping our mobile app, which was pretty old-school.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They have a large portfolio and a diverse skill set, so they used the latest technologies. They did everything from design to backend development. Neusol gave our app a facelift, redeveloping it entirely from scratch. We had a tight deadline of three months to make a large application, so they developed a hybrid solution using PhoneGap. This technology relies on web development standards.
What is the team composition?
We worked with around five people from their team on the development. Their CEO was directly in touch with our development lead, and there were four technical people in the backend.
How did you come to work with Neusol?
Since I joined the organization when project had already commenced, so I am not specifically aware of that, therefore I can not comment.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost was around $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from August until November 2019. We still have a 12-month support contract with Neusol, which ends in 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They did a great job, bearing in mind that we had a pretty tight deadline. They covered a lot of features (like text-to-speech) and they automated over 260 e-services. However, they could have done more on the QA aspect. We had a back and forth on issues that were still not fixed when they told us they were, so our testing team had to spend their own time on the app. They really need to get their people to test applications before committing to clients so we don’t have to worry about bugs. As a client, I expect a one hundred percent error-free application, and I don’t want to commit my own people to test it. Other than that, they’re pretty good skill-wise.
The app is still fresh. We launched it around six weeks ago, so it’s pretty early to look at statistics but we have pretty decent downloads—over 1,000 in six weeks. In six months or so, we’ll be able to pull stats and see how many services are being submitted through the web and through the app. Feedback is looking pretty good right now.
How did Neusol perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management hasn’t been outstanding, but it’s been pretty good. They have a central point of contact who translates our requirements technically, which makes it easier for us to reach out. We also have a technical team lead who gets in touch with me for technical issues.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re easy-going and their skillset is great, from web development to the latest mobile app technologies. In my experience, Neusol stands out when it comes to change requests and maintenance and support. They accepted changes without additional cost.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Quality assurance is the only area they need to focus on. They should get their team to test the application before sending it to the client to ensure the app really adds value.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Define the scope of work clearly from day one. You’ll also need to express in clear words that there will be no compromises on QA. Neusol needs to deliver applications that are error-free, and all testing needs to be done on their side.
The skilled team at Neusol LLC goes above and beyond, delivering high-quality work ethic and technical expertise. Their flexibility also stands out. Their engaged team is full of problem-solvers, willing to tackle any challenge.
