UI/UX Product Design for Financial Literacy Education Co
“They brought me something completely new and fresh that is unlike anything else on the market.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the sole founder of a company that teaches financial literacy to kids.
What challenge were you trying to address with NetBramha Studios?
I went to them for UI/UX design. I needed someone that could challenge the ideas I had as a founder.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a discovery phase, during which NetBramha’s founder and a couple of senior designers broke down my idea into various minute steps and problems. We determined which ones would be part of the first MVP. That added value to the entire process, as my original idea had too many features. NetBramha helped me narrow down the first set of features to take to the market.
Then, we started the first step of UX design. We put together the customer journey and the UX flow of it. NetBramha created an architecture document that gave a high-level overview of my idea. They created UI/UX screens for all of the features we decided on, and we had multiple iterations on those.
They also helped me reach out to a few target groups and get feedback on the features we were building.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Aashish (Founder & Principal Designer), Suyash (UX Designer), and one other designer. They discussed the idea with their entire team of around 30 people, but I just had communication with those three people. I believe 6–7 others were directly involved in the project.
How did you come to work with NetBramha Studios?
I shortlisted two other competitors. I wanted a design house wherein I could approach the founder easily, and I wanted them to be involved in the project. The other design houses I approached didn’t offer this. They were pretty huge, with 1,000+ people, so reaching out to the founder would’ve been difficult.
Aashish was involved from day one, when I started inquiring about a project with NetBramha Studios.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost was around $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with NetBramha around September 2019, and the project took 4–5 months to complete, ending in early-2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
NetBramha goes through an internal process before showing anything to the customer — they don’t just present everything they design. If I didn’t like anything after that process, they were open to reworking the UI design.
How did NetBramha Studios perform from a project management standpoint?
All communication went through Basecamp. Communication was transparent and clear.
What did you find most impressive about them?
On the second iteration, they brought me something completely new and fresh that is unlike anything else on the market.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I had a pretty good experience. I won’t be looking for any other agencies if I have additional design work to do.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
The most important thing when hiring a UI/UX agency is the involvement of the client company’s founder. I was involved in the entire journey. We can't rely on the agency completely because, at the end of the day, they’re creating something based on the client’s idea. Unless we communicate effectively, they won’t deliver 100%.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of SwitchMe, a B2C company. We’re India’s first online mortgage broker.
What challenge were you trying to address with NetBramha Studios?
We’d done an initial POC, and we’d received a good response from customers, but we found that the customer experience wasn’t up to mark. We realized that the standard for online B2C interactions was far ahead of what we were doing at that time, and we didn’t have any in-house design talent.
What was the scope of their involvement?
NetBramha Studios provided design services, which included the initial wireframes. We underwent a discussion around what our customers wanted, what our brand should stand for, and finally, what our design was about. That helped us think through some of our own marketing strategies. We received a deliverable in the form of HTML and CSS. They handed over a set of artifacts, including our logo.
What is the team composition?
There were at least three people from NetBramha Studios involved, including a project manager.
How did you come to work with NetBramha Studios?
We decided to cast a wide net and see what the best price was. We had phone discussions with seven or eight design agencies to see their budget. We eliminated a couple right away because the budget was ten times what we were looking for.
We shortlisted two or three and then found that NetBramha Studios understood our business the best. They did their homework, and they proposed a holistic solution. We chose NetBrahma Studios because we felt that we were aligned.
How much have you invested with them?
I believe we spent around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with NetBramha Studios in June or July 2015. They finished in less than six weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, I was very satisfied. It’s been five years. NetBramha Studios helped with our bounce rate. Customers were more engaged with our site. I’d definitely hire them again if I were to do something similar.
How did NetBramha Studios perform from a project management standpoint?
Their professional team stuck to our deadlines. We were in Bombay, and they were in Bangalore. We coordinated through Basecamp and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team put themselves in the mindset of in-house members, thinking about what our customers wanted. We had detailed discussions, looked over data, and made decisions. We appreciated their holistic approach, from their understanding of the business and their determination of the design.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not that I can think of. Through the engagement, we came out smarter about the entire thing. We ended up creating an in-house team. I don’t think we’d have done as well as we did if not for NetBramha Studios.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was the founder of Zenify.in, a residential rental management company. We were the 2nd largest residential property management company in India and were acquired by Nestaway (the largest in India) in May 2017.
For what projects/services did your company hire NetBramha Studios?
We hired NetBramha to completely revamp our websites UI / UX from scratch.
What were your goals for this project?
We were having many offerings introduced to our customers for the first time in the industry and wanted to have a better communication and experience. So, we hired NetBramha to completely revamp our website.
How did you select this vendor?
We shortlisted 5 vendors basis a few criteria:
- Should be present in Bangalore
- Should have done work for some other company in my personal network,
- should be open to working with a startup,
- should be a boutique firm and not a very bug team, etc.
Post shortlisting, we had 2-3 meetings with each design team, understood in detail about the work they have done and industries for which they have worked. Post which we shortlisted NetBramha
Describe the project in detail.
It was a complete revamp of the website which included:
- Landing pages for property owners and tenants
- property search page
- map based search
- individual property page
- client logins etc,
They worked on complete project starting from understanding various user personas, defining their flow, etc..
What was the team composition?
Project Manager, Designer, Front End Developer, Business Analyst... Even the founder was involved in our project and was frequently available for meetings, etc.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Don't exactly remember now... but SEO and the organic lead generation got a major boost. Bounce rate was quite reduced and user engagement was quite enhanced. As far as I recall, the outcome was better than what we expected at the beginning of the project.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
From our end, it was majorly directly from the 3 founders and from their end, a team of 2-3 people....
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their whole design approach. The way they started discussions from scratch, created storyboards, refined them and went onto messaging, content and wireframes... They had a very structured approach, and we were very impressed.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not that I can think of. In my view UI / UX team should be small so that they can focus and work with a few clients, but create a larger impact for whatever they work on...

We wanted an experience which not only engaged and converted visitors into known contacts, but also established our firm as a though leader and differentiated our research piece through the interactive experience. The presence had to be world class and not run of the mill B2B stuff.
What were your goals for this project?
Establish association with Digital Transformation and number of downloads from Target Companies visiting the microsite
How did you select this vendor?
We reviewed multiple agencies. What stood out for NetBrahma was their understanding of our business context, audience behavior, global exposure, flexibility and transparency.
Describe the project in detail.
The project involved creating a microsite for our flagship research paper, which was being launched globally. It was a survey done across multiple countries and C suite executives across industries. The interactive and engaging microsite had to not only present the findings, but also convert the visitors into known contacts through downloads. Involved developing a narrative, create accompanying graphic elements, content and overall UX for mobile as well as desktop.
What was the team composition?
We had the head of Brand as well as Digital. Netbrahma had a servicing person, CD, illustrator, content person, front end engineer and the founder himself to oversee the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We had high engagement rates - over 5% on the microsite, over 2K downloads and strong social media visibility.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was very well streamlined. The online collaboration platform deployed by Netbrahma helped us keep things on track.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are flexible and have a can-do attitude and global exposure.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Being a boutique firm, scalability for large projects might be a challenge

Web Portal Redesign for Newspaper Store

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was the head of digital technology in a newspaper store and I headed the redesign of the Prajavani website's re-engineering project.
For what projects/services did your company hire NetBramha Studios?
Prajavani, the Kannada news paper along with Deccan Herald is the voice of Karnataka, a South Indian state and we engaged NetBramha to redesign the website/news portal of Prajavani.
What were your goals for this project?
Prajavani is the flagship of regional media here and we had to make sure that the re-engineering of the website rightly reflects the hope, the aspiration, respect and the love the people of Karnataka had for Prajavani and we had to make sure that the design is a right reflection of all these principles. We also of course wanted to make sure all the standard website redesign project goals are achieved, like increasing new users, keeping current users more engaged, increasing the time spent on the site all the while making it a joyous experience.
How did you select this vendor?
We went through a selection process, where multiple design companies came in and presented their thoughts and of course budgets for the re-design project. The criteria we had included: understanding of the brand, the audience (readers), the digital media space, startup culture - though we were a legacy organization, the digital team was a startup within the larger organization and we had to make sure that the design partner moves as fast as we did and is able to accommodate the needs of us. We zeroed in on NetBramha from the first list of 12 vendors.
Describe the project in detail.
NetBramha had to work with us to completely redesign the Prajavani website and make sure that that it continues to serve its core audience and at the same time allows us to expand the customer base. The design had to be novel, stand the test of time at least for next 5 - 7 years, should be responsive (in a way mobile first) and should continue to establish Prajavani as the voice of Karnataka and continue to enable the new generation readers to fulfill their dreams. NetBramha had to take us through t he complete process - namely - Goals, Personas, Facts Vs Myths of current side in terms of user perspective, Visualization, Wireframes, Mock-ups, Proto-typing designs, Process flowcharts, Information Architecture, actual designs and finally CSS and HTML development.
What was the team composition?
We hired the NetBramha team for the entire design process - from specification requirement and Persona analysts to designers to HTML/CSS developers and we also had a Project Manager and a design lead who held this entire thing together.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We went through couple of change cycles during the project design as we had some changes within the Prajavani team - people as well the goals for the redesign project and the NetBramha team accommodated these changes well and delivered the output on schedule and we integrated the designs into our New CMS with success. Overall we had a good customer feedback and a lot of people wrote in how they found the new website easier to look for what they want and how good it was in their mobiles. We also had all parameters like new users, recurrent users, time spent on time and re-engagement rates were all improved.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had a clear cut process and project outputs delivered with project Management tools and we had periodic review meetings. These meetings were done in Prajavani or NetBramha premises as per needs and the NetBramha team was very flexible to accommodate the schedules of the editorial and cross functional digital team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
NetBramha knows what they are doing and very clear and concise in their thought process. They delivered more than what we expected in their first cut design and everything about them was professional. All these were the direct result of their passion and commitment to design philosophy and not settling for the ordinary.
Are there any areas for improvement?
As with any development activity, we had some small challenges during HTML CSS development due to the differences with the CMS guidelines and as credit to the team these were resolved very quickly.

UI/UX Design for Real Estate Tech Company
"They keep everyone well informed and make sure we understand the small processes."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Monest, a real estate tech company.
What challenge were you trying to address with NetBramha Studios?
We needed someone to develop our UI/UX. We wanted to pay a lot of attention to the UI because the real estate region isn’t very tech-friendly and they don’t really understand the tech side. We had to keep the navigation very simple and straight. We also wanted to pay a lot of attention to how the user flows getting from one task to another task without having to jump through many screens.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Working with our clients, NetBramha Studios did their entire UX/UI including wireframing as well as designing both the website and the mobile applications. They used Adobe XD and a collaboration tool where they gave us all the design and layouts to which we could provide our feedback configurations. The files were then delivered to us in PHP formats.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact was Elena (Founder, NetBramha Studios). There was a project manager and 7–8 more people involved.
How did you come to work with NetBramha Studios?
I found them to be very forthcoming. At the same time, they took input and feedback very carefully.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent 45 lakh rupees (approximately $62,500 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from March–November 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
NetBramha Studios made the user navigation very simple and straightforward. After receiving feedback from the market and brokers who used the design to navigate the system they incorporated it into the design.
How did NetBramha Studios perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very crisp and clear with their communication. Most of our communication was via Skype and Zoom and we’ve visited each other’s offices multiple times. They’re very hands-on and involved with their projects and clients. They keep everyone well informed and make sure we understand the small processes, which is important for this line of work. We also use Trello to communicate and review our feedback with one another.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their sense of knowledge on what colors to use, what button shape to use, or what kind of font style to use that helped connect us to our audience really stood out for me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could be more hands-on with the documentation process to help the person navigate into what kind of documentation style is needed. That really helps the technical team to develop the product. We didn’t realize there were more things they could have covered that may have helped the development team better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Do a Q&A and R&D before jumping into designs and get your thoughts down. It helps the relationship between the UI/UX team and the development team much better.

UI/UX Design for Ticketing Services Company
"They commit to a date and try to push our team towards that date."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Semnox Solutions, a company that works on ticketing products for family entertainment locations, theme parks, and waterparks. We build a single trusted solution that encompasses the entire operation of the location whether it be the traditional ticketing, food vendors, merchandise sales, lockers, online ticketing, agent ticketing.
What challenge were you trying to address with NetBramha Studios?
We needed help with UI/UX design.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked on multiple projects with NetBramha Studios. One of the projects was to redesign the UX of self-service kiosks. When the customer purchases the ticket or credits to play a game, a large portion of the sales happens within a self-service kiosk. Subsequently, NetBramha helped us to improve the UX of our web platform to sell the tickets online. Similarly, they worked with us to develop a customer-facing mobile app. Customer can do all their purchases and look at their attractions and location.
The majority of their work was UI/UX design, and all the projects were similarly sized though they were done at different periods of time. The first project was in 2015. The web part happened in 2016. The customer app happened in 2018.
The primary objective for the self-service kiosk, the customer app, and the website was improving usability from the customer’s perspective. The solutions had to have few steps despite the complexity of the service. It needed to provide all its options in a very simple manner because our use cases are diverse since we provide the kiosk to an American company, large waterparks, and theme parks. Additionally, the users themselves come from different backgrounds and age groups. We had to take all of that into consideration.
What is the team composition?
There were three full-time people. Most of the reviews were handled by Aashish (Founder & Principal Designer, NewBramha Studios). He guided the team.
How did you come to work with NetBramha Studios?
I researched UX firms and, we narrowed it down to two options. We’re a very large company, and I didn’t want to work with a large design house because I felt they wouldn’t give us the kind of attention we wanted. I set up criteria in terms of the creativity and size of the company and met the key principals of both.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $35,000–$40,000 per project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from March 2015 until 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The easiest one to discuss is the self-service kiosk because there are quite a few metrics around the usability. Prior to the redesign, the ratio of the sales done at the cashier counter to the kiosk was 82%. After the redesign, 28% of the sales happen through the self-service kiosk.
How did NetBramha Studios perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was excellent and utilizes Basecamp. They commit to a date and try to push our team towards that date.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The solution is substantially better than what we had before. Their project management disciplines are very good and their promises are realistic. They were also cost-effective compared to the effort and number of people allocated to the project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve on the continuity of the resources. Since their project management is strong, they’re able to manage it though.

Please describe your company and your position there.
On this Project, i was working as a Project Leader - IoT for my company named Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd in New Delhi, India. Luminous is a 25+ years old company now owned by Schneider Electric and has 9 factories in India with overall employee strength of 5000+ employees.
For what projects/services did your company hire NetBramha Studios?
Since the internal drive started to meet digital transformation goals for the company. We launched an IoT project called Smart Home Switch (Basically a mobile controlled electrical peripheral devices in a residential home).
We were looking for someone to solve the consumer problem for us and help us understand the consumer journey , emotions, value propositions to eventually help us build right features in product, market it correctly and most importantly deliver a satisfying and delightful user experience. That how we got to find Netbrahma and had a great time engaging with them from inception of idea to delivery and further.
What were your goals for this project?
Our Goals for this Project were :
1. To launch the project within an year of scope finalisation.
2. To qualify as Maid & Grandma Friendly User Experience ( Extremely simple and Intuitive)
3. Overall solution cost (More than 50% cheaper than next best solution in market in same category).
Our offer development team reached out to our Parent company Schneider Electric's design team and they recommended us Netbrahma Studios for their design thinking in consumer brands, flexibility and commitment.
We had a standard comparison with two more vendors on several parameters and found Netbrahma better in most of the parameters and our choice was clear. Project "Smart Home Switch" or SHS was a very big and ambitious project for year 2018-2019 for Luminous.

We had a standard comparison with two more vendors on several parameters and found Netbrahma better in most of the parameters and our choice was clear. Project "Smart Home Switch" or SHS was a very big and ambitious project for year 2018-2019 for Luminous.
Describe the project in detail.
Project "Smart Home Switch" or SHS was a very big and ambitious project for year 2018-2019 for Luminous. With this project , we were going to challenge the problem of low penetration of IoT and Home Automation in Indian Market because of several entry barriers.
The Project essentially consist of following : An IoT kit embedded inside Luminous premium category of Wiring devices (Switches) making them Smart Switch.
By SMART, We meant to say they have intelligence now to take decisions of their own based on various use cases to Turn On/Turn Off or Dim and secondly, they can now be monitored and controlled from a mobile device from any part of the world with endless features to add on in future.
Role of Netbrahma : We started with a research lead by Netbrahma researchers and Luminous Project team across india to explore and identify user pain points, frustations to come up with value proposition for our product in its technology and UX-UI design. We identified three main problems and solution to those became defining factors for our solution namely :
1. Maid and Grandma Friendly Design (Existing solutions look like from next century and very too technical complex).
2. Neighborhood Electrician Friendly (Existing solutions were very tough to install, commission and service).
3. Cost (Too high for a residential household to realize the value for money)
What was the team composition?
We had following team composition offered by Netbrahma:
1. Project Manager
2. UX-UI Designers
3. UX-UI Research Lead
4. UX-UI Strategy and Design Thinker
Project was kicked off with UX-UI strategy and Design Thinking workshop to arrive at Preliminary Product definition and its value proposition. Which was then taken to consumers across India along with research team of Netbrahma and were personally interviewed at their respective cities to validate the Proposed Product features and UX-UI and get new ideas to further improve it.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We were able to successfully place ourselves ahead of competition with a much better design and a product closer to consumer needs and aspirations. We have got several ideas to include in our product technological developments and design.
Netbrahma made sure the project is delivered to its best and had scope to upgrade as often as needed and even proposed ideas to enhance the Digital Footprint efficiency of Luminous through UX-UI uniformity and intersecting use cases.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
I myself and my team were communicating almost on daily basis with Project Manager assigned to us to follow up on Project Sprint. Weekly touch point with Netbrahma lead thinker and strategist to review and take intermediate decisions on (on-the-go) design and flow changes.
Monthly (in-person meetings) at Luminous location or Netbrahma Office. Overall, We had a smooth and proactive communication throughout the project. We were using marvelapp for prototypes and Agile methodologies for development.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
What shocked me was, I found them doing exactly what a design company is supposed to do. That's what blew my mind. Because i understood a lot about design thinking and consumer while working with Netbrahma on the project. They had a clear process laid out to address a problem, keeping the consumer in the center of every emotions.
We often had a long debate and discussion on something as simple as placement of an icon on screen. Netbrahma always represented the consumer and was able to challenge the product team and marketing team at Luminous effectively in interest of the project. Last, But not the least they were easy going and embraced the project as their own.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I am sure they are doing it everyday. We all should everyday make a better version of ourselves. Be it speed, exposure to technology and new emerging trends, Consumer behavior trends. Improvement is a never ending process and should be practiced till the time we are in business and beyond.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the COO and Head of Product at a (B2B/SaaS) technology company that builds a Revenue Management and Intelligence Solution to media companies, digital publishers, OTT and e-commerce companies. We are a team of about 20 people based in Bangalore and Mumbai, India, and 4 of us founded the company in 2014.
For what projects/services did your company hire NetBramha Studios?
I'll be honest, here. We had been thinking about bringing the Netbramha team on-board for a couple of years to re-design our product and make it a more delightful experience. Our product is complicated and bulky and, although we're very proud of how we built it from the ground up, we don't have a design background. So, we brought Aashish and the Netbramha team on-board to help re-design our user interface to begin with, but we were able to then re-imagine and re-design the entire experience and workflow.
What were your goals for this project?
Starting out, my goals were quite simple - make our product and interface/workflow easier, sexier and a delight to use. I will say that along every step of the way, especially at the beginning, these goals were challenged from all angles to a point where we went really deep into every inch of our thought process so far. Our users use our product for several hours a day. I did not have any revenue or ROI related goals at the start. We just wanted to bring our product up to a global standard. The fact that we're going to be able to achieve both is just fantastic.
How did you select this vendor?
I've been clued into some of the companies in this space for the last few years, given the general activity in this market and our interest in products coming out of our neighbourhood. Aashish used to run Design Day in Bangalore and they've been thought leaders for a few years before we brought them in. For this particular project, we invited Netbramha to come in and pitch to our CEO, myself, my CTO and Head of Engineering. It was important that everyone be 200% convinced both from an engineering as well as a sales/revenue angle, given the commitment we knew it involved. Everyone evaluated their approach individually, based on parameters they and their team had. My personal parameters was A. Expertise & Experience B. Ability to understand the depth of our business C. Track Record of operational excellence Once we had a unanimous vote, we went ahead.
Describe the project in detail.
We started off with a series of immersion workshops. This took quite a commitment from us and Netbramha, but it was extremely important that they understood every inch of our product. (Given we had built it over 3 years, it had many layers to it). These workshops challenged assumptions (sometimes there were none), opened up several constructive arguments, and took us into depths of our own thought process. What came out of this, was a comprehensive list of user journeys, use cases for every single action on the product and then (my favourite) the most comprehensive information architecture we had ever built. This set the tone for each page that was then designed, debated, and went through several iterations before started closing feature after feature.
What was the team composition?
We're a small team. It was driven by myself and Jithin, who heads our engineering team and is one of our co-founders, but this project brought our entire team together for feedback, thought process and multiple perspectives.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our sales team is currently driving more conversations bringing in a sharp increase in interest on the back of new product. We are just taking this to market over the coming quarter, but our teasers so far have seen a very positive response.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
During the immersion workshop, we met every day for about 3 weeks. Every single day. Once we crossed the IA stage, we would receive screens and designs to review and turn our comments around in 24-72 hours. Operationally, things were smooth but there was a lot of work to be done from all sides. We had weekly meetings and check-ins and used Basecamp for all communication
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I'll keep this simple. Their attention to detail, and willingness to do that one extra iteration to get it right was impressive. They read us the right way and were able to balance their expertise with ours. Hard-working, no-nonsense bunch who were willing to roll their sleeves up. I genuinely believe they're one of the best in the business.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I guess everything can always be done faster and hit every deadline and over-communicate. But with long, big projects that tend to go up and down, I don't think I have any complaints.
NetBramha Studios helped the client translate their idea into a first-of-its-kind product. The team was open to iterating until the client was fully satisfied. They facilitated transparent communication through Basecamp. Senior leadership’s involvement in the project added value.
