The scope of work focused on improving CATC’s digital marketing performance and creating better visibility into what was actually driving qualified leads and admissions. Key deliverables included: Managing and optimizing paid media across Google and Meta, with a focus on generating qualified leads and admissions. Developing and optimizing landing pages to improve conversion rates and create a stronger path from advertising to inquiry. Implementing improved tracking and closed-loop attribution through Salesforce so leads and admissions could be tied back to specific campaigns and channels. Implementing Meta Conversions API (CAPI) and improving overall analytics and measurement. Providing SEO strategy and optimization to improve organic search visibility. Ongoing reporting, testing and optimization to improve conversion rates, reduce cost per acquisition and make better decisions about where to invest marketing dollars.

The stronger marketing and admissions performance contributed to record business results, including the highest-revenue quarter in the company’s history.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project delivered significant measurable improvements across lead generation, conversion, admissions and overall business performance: Qualified leads increased by 70%. Cost per inpatient acquisition dropped from approximately $7,000 to under $3,000, more than a 50% improvement. Lead conversion improved significantly, including a double-digit improvement through key stages of the funnel. 35 admissions were generated from paid media in the first few months following the changes. Meta performance accelerated significantly, generating 156 conversions within weeks compared with 408 over the previous five months. CATC achieved the highest-revenue quarter in the company’s history, supported by stronger marketing and admissions performance. Closed-loop Salesforce attribution was established, giving CATC visibility into which campaigns were generating qualified leads and actual admissions. Deliverables were thoughtful, strategic and well executed, and the team consistently brought strong expertise, attention to detail and practical recommendations that drove measurable results. The improvements in lead quality, conversion, admissions and cost per acquisition delivered a clear return, and the team consistently looked for ways to make our marketing spend work harder.

They were also very responsive when priorities shifted or something needed to be turned around quickly.

What challenge were you trying to address with NAV43?

We brought on NAV43 to help us improve conversion optimization rates for our e-commerce website.  

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

NAV43 reviewed and analyzed our website and provided recommendations on how to alter it to improve our conversions. They tested and evaluated our usability, navigation, and information architecture. We ran several tests with them, including a tree test where users checked our infrastructure and project catalog. They also ran a first-click test to identify if we had vital information missing from our homepage. For that test, the user is presented with a task, and the software tracks where they would begin that task on our homepage. We wanted 20 users for the first-click test, 20 for the tree test, and another 6–8 for usability testing. 

Once testing was complete, NAV43 compiled their findings into a report and provided CRO recommendations. To support their recommendations, NAV43 leveraged our Google Analytics metrics.

We’d worked with NAV43 on an SEO project before — they were very effective and helped us elevate our website’s profile during that project. We did evaluate several companies for this initiative, but appreciated that NAV43’s team had CRO experience and had a teammate teaching at a local college.

We invested around $70,000 CAD (approximately $56,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project with NAV43 was from December 2021–March 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I don’t have any specific metrics because this project was focused on reporting the CRO findings, not implementing them. However, we will use this report to make changes to improve our CRO. Overall, I think the project was successful because we had 100% user participation based on our requirements.

NAV43’s project management was effective — I’d give them a 10 out of 10. Every part of the project was communicated clearly, and their team was efficient and delivered on time. Typically, we communicated through phone calls, Google Meet, and emails.
