I’m the IT Manager of the Colombia office of Sykes. We’re a digital marketing and customer service outsourcer, providing customer-engagement services.

For what projects/services did your company hire NativApps?

We needed custom software development services to transform an in-house application into a SaaS platform.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to upgrade our current tool to the next level regarding design, game mechanics, UX, UI, and graphics.

How did you select this vendor?

We met with several different vendors for interviews and video sessions. After reviewing the big picture, we selected NativApps for their solid approach, project history, and brand recognition.

The app had both social and gamification components that made it successful within our company. NativApps is developing and designing the platform from scratch while retaining the app’s essence.

What was the team composition?

So far, we’ve worked with a project manager and a UX/UI designer, but we're about to bring on a frontend programmer and a backend programmer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They delivered exactly what we were looking for from a design and color perspective. The solution is tightly aligned with our company’s brand and color palette. We have a millennial, vibrant culture, and NativApps interpreted that very well.

Their timelines and deliverables are clear thanks to a progress tracking tool, which they gave us access to.  

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They understood our intention behind the project and how we wanted our culture to influence it.

I’m the founder and director of a conservation company. We help conservationists receive critical funding and increase global support through a mobile application that provides real-time video updates on day-to-day campaigns.

For what projects/services did your company hire NativApps?

We needed someone to go through our existing app to ensure the architecture was correct and to fix any issues.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to ensure that every feature in the app had a purpose, with no dead ends.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We did a lot of research on different businesses that specialize in app development. We were eventually introduced to the director of NativApps through a friend. Their professionalism and focus on making a difference in the world made choosing them an easy decision.

Describe the project in detail.

We began with several meetings to discuss the app. I walked their team through the entire vision document of the app design to get us all on the same page. Then they worked on the flow of how different features worked together to ensure it would meet our expectations.

Next, we discussed switching from the app being solely on the iOS platform to React Native. They explained it would be more beneficial to us and the conservationists we help. Once we decided to change over to React Native, they created a new design so that the app would look its best on both iOS and Android devices. Their design team also helped us add new features.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a business manager that worked with us on contracts, deadlines, and the flow of the project. We were also assigned a project manager for the architecture and design aspects of the app. We were able to collaborate directly with several other people who worked on the app.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

NativApps successfully redesigned the app on the React Native platform. They corrected any issues to ensure that user experience is exceptional. We’re able to demonstrate to conservationists how the app can help them gain support and funding.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was both professional and casual. We had weekly meetings to get updates on the ongoing progress. This allowed us to discuss what we liked and what changes we wanted to make. We were also in touch on a daily basis over Slack. This allowed us to tackle issues quickly while also getting our questions answered. The frequent communication allowed us to see the progress and gave us the reassurance of hitting our deadline. Our teams worked together very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their professionalism made us absolutely confident that development would flow smoothly. They truly listened to our concerns, ideas, and suggestions. They also were able to provide innovative solutions.
