Please describe your company and your position there.

Twelve and Twenty Eight is a boutique branding and custom graphic design studio based in Chicago. I am one of the Co-founders who is responsible for operations, SEO, marketing, lead generation etc.

What were your goals for this project?

1. To optimize the content on our website based on relevant research of keywords 2. To make it easy for our prospective clients to find us from google when they search and generate leads via organic traffic 3. To improve our Google search ranking for keywords relevant to our ideal audience

How did you select this vendor?

I found them on Facebook from their Facebook page or Facebook Advertisement. Had a call and conversations to understand more about their service before getting started. There were other vendors also from who we got quote but detailed-oriented nature, professionalism, cost-effectiveness of their team made us select Nanovise

Describe the project in detail.

We started off in Dec 2019 with the goals shared above i.e. to improve our SEO so that our ideal clients can find us more easily from Google and organic lead generation can happen from there. We started with analysis of our website, our competitors, what are keywords that we would like to target, what changes are needed on our website from the Keyword standpoint or other changes for SEO. There was a detailed 6-month plan shared by Nanovise and we knew what to expect in this 6-month journey of SEO - which has now gone beyond 6 months since we have seen the improvement in our SEO and desired results. Because of that, we have decided to continue it further with an expectation of more improvement that we surely anticipate.

What was the team composition?

The team comprised of Onsite Project Manager and offshore Analyst, an offshore content creator from Nanovise side. From Twelve And Twenty Eight, I represented SEO work by asking relevant questions and giving relevant inputs to make sure we are making the expected progress as per our expectations.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our website was not in Top 100 search results of Google for keywords of our choice (that align with our website, industry, ideal client, etc) and now for many of those keywords, our website comes within top 20, 30...80 results of Google search. There has been increase of more organic traffic to our website since we started SEO. We have got few conversions as well and even got an opportunity to network with leads who didn't convert due to one or the other reason.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have been having weekly calls, using whatsapp group, SharePoint site, MS TEAMs, WebEx for effective collaboration, communication, content sharing. All tools (except WhatsApp of course) were provided by Nanovise. If there came a moment, where the discussion was needed, Nanovise team members would often hop on the audio/video call for further discussion. SharePoint was our go-to place to see all the weekly reports, content such as infographic, articles created by Nanovise team

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their professionalism, being able to deliver promised results in spite of being the most cost-effective choice we had, having all the industry-wide tools for collaboration and communication, always, going above and beyond in doing whatever is needed to improve SEO. They have been patient with all questions that I ever asked on strategy and execution and made sure I (as a client) understood the rationale behind SEO strategy and execution.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Even though communication and collaboration were good but there were some hiccups in initial communication related to backlinks crawled based on reports from Tools such as SEMRUsh, maybe that can be handled better. Nanovise needs to make sure that client understands every report the way it is supposed to be understood and is aware of the report that client can refer for weekly/monthly progress so that there is no expectation mismatch even in the beginning of the SEO journey for clients who don't understand it much. It's important that the client understands the value they are getting every week/month as SEO continues.
