Neuronal Exposure to THC
n this video we have conveyed these interesting and unique processes of neuronal exposure to #THC. Chemical substances called neurotransmitters are released to pass the signal over to the next neutron in the chain. The main cannabinoid produced by cannabis plant is called THC - #Tetrahydrocannabinol. On the cellular level THC application leads to a very efficient inhibition of neurotransmitter release. On the more global level this can mediate effects such as muscle relaxation, stress reduction, relief of pain and altered senses.

Foxo-1 Inhibitor. Diabetes.
In this project produced for Forkhead Bio, USA-based biotech startup, we had to show the mechanism of action (MOA) of FOXO1 inhibitor, a transcription factor that inhibits the protein that triggers insulin production in the gut villi cells.
The video starts with the company logo and narration text. The next scene follows by interactive illustrated statistic data about diabetes.
Project development timeline: 3 min video was developed in 8 weeks, starting from the research part to the Final version—at an extremely rapid pace.
We are glad to provide our client with the video that helps them to explain the Mechanism of Action of their FOXO-1 inhibitor. All done within a strict timeline and their estimated budget.

Transdermal Drug Delivery
In the video, we made a comparison between traditional water-based and petrolatum-based carrier delivery. Petrolatum nanodroplets can penetrate the natural brick and mortar structure (Keratin) of the cells and deliver API load to the inner layers of the nail or skin.
Water-based API drug delivery repels and can’t be used to deliver a drug (topical application) into the deep layers of the skin.
We did numerous physics-based simulations of how water repels from the cell surface and how petrolatum-based API can penetrate.
No matter what idea or concept you have in mind; share it with us, and we will communicate it to your target audience or investors.

Rabeprazole - Mechanism of Action
This video was created to display the mechanism of action of a rather new proton pump inhibitor - rabeprazole in case of H. pylori associated gastric inflammation. Helicobacter pylori produces urease and catalase. Urease cleaves urea, contained in gastric juice, which increases the pH of the immediate environment of the microbe and protects it from the bactericidal action of the acidic environment of the stomach. The most important factor of hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach is the direct influence of Helicobacter pylori on the secretory process by excessive alkalization of the antral part of the stomach by the products of the urea hydrolysis by Helicobacter pylori. The consequence of excess alkalization is hypergastrinemia, which leads to hyperproduction of hydrochloric acid. Rabeprazole blocks the proton pump of the parietal cells and thereby reduce the secretion of hydrochloric acid.

Krebs cycle 3D medical animation
Another challenge for our Medical Animation Studio was to create a detailed overview of the inner compartment of the mitochondrion, where the Krebs cycle occurs. This is a glimpse of the original animation.
How important is the citric acid cycle in our body?
The citric acid cycle plays a major metabolic role in our bodies. Along with supplying energy, this cycle also provides the intermediates needed for the synthesis of compounds like glucose, amino acids, etc. Its importance is proved by giving it three different official names. The first name, the citric acid cycle (CAC), refers to the first molecule that forms during the cycle's reactions — citrate, or, in its protonated form, citric acid. Tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle is also widely used based on the three carboxyl groups on its first two intermediates, and the Krebs cycle, which is named after its discoverer, Hans Krebs.

Acyclovir mechanism of action - 3D medical animation
What is Acyclovir?
Acyclovir (or Aciclovir) is a human-made purine nucleoside analog which suppresses the activity of all two types of herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 and 2), and varicella-zoster virus (VZV). The primary purpose is to inhibit the multiplication of the virus. It decreases the production of the virus's DNA. How does it work? Its affinity for thymidine kinase (TK) encoded by HSV and VZV, determines the high selectivity of acyclovir. With the help of viral TK, it is transformed into a nucleotide analog; acyclovir monophosphate which is then converted by host cell kinases to acyclovir triphosphate. ACP-TP prevents further viral DNA synthesis without affecting the natural cellular processes. There are three primary mechanisms of suppression: integration into DNA chain and termination of it, competitive suppression, and deactivation of the DNA polymerase. A high affinity towards the viral enzyme, thymidine kinase (TK) by Acyclovir makes the drug more effective on herpes simplex.

Migraine mechanism of disease (MoD) - 3D medical animation
A primary headache disorder - #Migraine
A migraine is a common multifactorial #illness characterized by recurrent unilateral headaches. In certain scenarios, it is linked with aura - optical or sensorial manifestations that emerge ahead of the pain, sometimes during the pain attack or later. Aura can be like light glints, blind spots, or prickling on one side of the face or in your arm or leg. A #headache is often accompanied by sickness, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and noise. It can be so intense sometimes, which can lead to partial disability for a few hours to days. Due to a significant genetic component, migraine is most usual in women.

What is gastro peristalsis? - 3D medical animation
Peristalsis is a unique pattern of smooth muscle contractions that propel ingested food distally through the #esophagus and #intestines. The rippling motion of muscles mixes food with #gastric juices, turning it into a thin liquid. It drives the food from the esophagus (called #bolus there), through the stomach (called #chime at that time) to the #rectum. The muscles contract in a unidirectional way to keep the food from moving retrogradely.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the national sales manager of a cancer therapy company.
What challenge were you trying to address with NANOBOT Medical Communication?
We needed help to develop informational videos for our company that we could put up on our website for users and potential patients to see.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We took our ideas to NANOBOT Medical Communication, and they walked us through what we needed in terms of production, including a storyboard, for instance. They’re helping us tremendously in a step-by-step process, taking care of putting the videos together, editing them, doing voiceovers, and so on.
What is the team composition?
Yuriy (Co-Founder) is our main point of contact, and other software developers are working on our backend.
How did you come to work with NANOBOT Medical Communication?
Our company’s previous manager found them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been getting positive feedback from our users on the video that they produced for us. They state that it gives them a clear picture of our work — the quality of the video is tremendous.
How did NANOBOT Medical Communication perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great; we don’t have to sit and wait for their work to be completed — they deliver when they say they’ll deliver. In terms of communication, we use emails and conference calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their back-and-forth communication and willingness to jump on the phone with us is something that distinguishes them from other providers; we don’t see that often now. I like to talk on the phone directly with the vendor to talk things out rather than just communicate via email, which is more time-consuming.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you know what you want. They’ll deliver according to your requirements, which will be only as good as the vision you provide to them — make sure you have a clear picture of your expectations.

Clinical Video Production for Aesthetic Dentistry Company
"Their clinical understanding was what made them stand out — their attention to detail was quite phenomenal."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work as a global solutions manager and the go-to-market lead for Straumann Group. We’re a global leader in aesthetic dentistry, doing everything from implants and clear aligners to intraoral scanners and prosthetics. The business was founded in 1957, and we’re headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. Our primary customers are dentists and orthodontists.
What challenge were you trying to address with NANOBOT Medical Communication?
We developed an app to help our customers on the orthodontic side. The app converted patients and educated them on the need for a clear aligner or teeth scraping, as well as the overall benefits of doing teeth alignment.
NANOBOT helped developed a video that was integrated into the application as a main part of the app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
NANOBOT developed a clinical video to explain what would happen if they don't treat teeth misalignment. It showed all the clinical information to help patients see the impact it can have on their health. It was a 3D-designed video — it had many clinical details for the human body, including the teeth.
First, they did the storyboard. They had an orthodontist or a clinical team with them, and they developed the concept of how it should look like. Then, the team did the production, design, and voiceover in different languages. In summary, NANOBOT did everything we required to make it work.
What is the team composition?
We had touchpoints with three of them. A project manager was assigned to us, so we had to contact her to coordinate the process for all operational tasks. In the early stages, we were in contact with their CEO. He made sure that everything was right and both parties were happy. We also had a workshop session where they brought in their lead designer.
How did you come to work with NANOBOT Medical Communication?
I found them online on Clutch and saw all the reviews and ratings. Then, I got in touch with them and saw their work. It was professional and very well done.
Additionally, I talked with one of their customers. It was a pharma company based in Germany, and they also gave great feedback about them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $10,000–$15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in early or mid-January 2021. They finished the project around July 2021, so it took almost seven months.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ll use the video on our website, but we haven't launched the app yet. We’ll also use the video for marketing purposes. Currently, we’re only doing internal user testing. Once that's done, we’ll have some external pilots, and then we’ll do a full-market launch in about 1–2 months.
In terms of quality and metrics, we looked at turnaround time, which was pretty quick. A lot of things took time from our side, but their turnaround was remarkable. We also looked at the way they conceptualized our design. Our lead designer gave them some ideas, and the way they visualized them was absolutely perfect.
Moreover, the clinical work they did was very professional. It was evident that they had someone with clinical knowledge within their team to ensure that the things they showed were accurate compared to the human body.
How did NANOBOT Medical Communication perform from a project management standpoint?
They were excellent, and the process was very smooth. We had weekly touchpoints on Teams to present their outcomes or project progress, and we gave them inputs. They delivered the project on time and usually communicated through email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We work in a specialized industry, so their clinical understanding was what made them stand out — their attention to detail was quite phenomenal.
Additionally, they had great designers — especially the 3D designers, who made things look realistic and understandable.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, our collaboration with NANOBOT was great.
Any advice for potential customers?
Give them some design ideas and concepts, as well as an understanding of your design guidelines to help them make something tailor-made for you.
Also, give them your expectations on how much freedom they have so they don’t do something completely out of the box, which might not be what you want.

Please describe your company and your position there.
A Swedish pharmaceutical company specializing in long-acting drug delivery technologies; I work as a Brand Manager.
For what projects/services did your company hire Nanobot Medical Animation?
We needed to produce a Mode of Action video for one of our technologies and therefore contracted Nanobot to help us with it.
What were your goals for this project?
It was important for us to have a scientifically correct presentation of the technology, which Nanobot has succeeded with. We are currently using the video on various platforms and do receive a positive feedback!
How did you select this vendor?
We were initially introduced to Nanobot through a LinkedIn connection and after their presentation as well as when the needed for a MoA arose, we simply felt confident to proceed with the company!
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
We created a brief for the project and worked on a script for the chosen voice-over. Nanobot has then delivered a 2D render of the animations and after all the corrections, they could proceed with a 3D version, which was then finalised.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
We had a dedicated project manager who was our primary point of contact.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have received a very positive feedback from our stakeholders who thought that the MoA video was educational and helped them to better understand our technology.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
There was quite a few back and forward emails with needed corrections and explanations, but in the end we got there!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their competitive pricing and rapid delivery were impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement?
A bit more attention to details I guess in terms of what the client wants and asks for, versus the delivered material to avoid repetitive corrections.
