I’m the co-founder and chief product officer of Finemeashore.com, a virtual shoe fitting software integration.

What challenge were you trying to address with My Virtual Teams?

My in-house team handled most of the backend and imaging processing work, but our frontend development needed to be outsourced. So, we hired My Virtual Teams. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

My Virtual Teams provides us with frontend development services and helps us improve product deployment. For each project they take on, I give them the problems we’re having and then collaborate with My Virtual Teams to finetune the solutions they develop. They implement solutions once they’re finalized. We also have a very extensive testing protocol — there is no room for failure. So far, they’ve helped migrate from an old PHP framework to a newer one. My Virtual Teams has addressed the complexities surrounding our image processing software that flows between the back- and frontend. 

What is the team composition?

We have direct contact with My Virtual Teams’ developers and their project manager. The size of the team from My Virtual Teams depends on the size of our project. 

How did you come to work with My Virtual Teams?

We found My Virtual Teams on Upwork after they applied to our job posting. We did an initial project with My Virtual Teams, and when that was successful, we expanded the partnership. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $50,000 with My Virtual Teams. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with My Virtual Teams began in December 2019, and it’s ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I know I can completely rely on My Virtual Teams to deliver, so they’ve become our sole frontend code providers. One of the applications My Virtual Teams delivered is being used by one of the most popular Indian footwear websites and millions of their customers. 

How did My Virtual Teams perform from a project management standpoint?

My Virtual Teams is very prompt and lays out their daily project goals. If we need a touchpoint during the day, they escalate those requests to my team. We have a debriefing at the end of each day, and their project estimates are very accurate. Typically, we use Jira and GitHub to manage the project and use Upwork to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

There is no room for failure in our partnership with My Virtual Teams, and they’ve delivered to all our requirements. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I want My Virtual Teams to expand their scope of provided services. I have a lot of requirements to fill, and I’d appreciate it if they developed more development competencies.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to be clear about their specifications and expectations with My Virtual Teams so that the partnership will be a success. Communication and transparency are a two-way street and essential in any partnership.

I’m the operations manager of Plix Life, a nutraceutical company that mostly produces weight loss and skin care products.

What challenge were you trying to address with My Virtual Teams?

We needed someone to provide us with IT consulting and services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We employ a variety of tools for our requirements, such as Shopify for the back end of our e-commerce platform, and different CRM tools like Zendesk for our ticketing system.

We also implement Unicommerce for our warehouse and logistics partners, and they’ve utilized customized integrations such as custom APIs and Amazon AWS.

Their other tasks involve maintenance and support and linking different software together for a more streamlined operation. Moreover, they’re helping us explore newer tools and systems, and are currently helping us look at automation tools for further seamless integration.

What is the team composition?

I work closely with a software developer, a project manager, and a business development manager.

How did you come to work with My Virtual Teams?

We came across My Virtual Teams through a recommendation on LinkedIn.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve invested about $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in September 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to My Virtual Teams, we’re able to increase our connectivity, as well as decrease our rejection and return rates, which is good for an e-commerce company.

They also helped our collaboration with Truecaller so whenever we call customers, we’re addressed as a verified business so we don’t go directly to spam.

How did My Virtual Teams perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform well from a project management standpoint, as whenever we experience any issues with the delivery timeframes, we discuss it with them up front — so far though, they’ve been very on point with their deadlines.

We use Asana and Slack to manage the project and interact with each other and we also do video conferencing through Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the value they provide for our money.  They always deliver their tasks on time and they bring cost-effective solutions to the table. Other than that, they’re very available to us whenever we need them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To increase customer satisfaction, I would just tell them to keep abreast of all the new tools that are coming out on a regular basis. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise you to align your timelines with what you want to achieve so as a customer, you have to be precise with your requirements.

Define every step of the process within the project and work closely with the development team.
