Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the principal architect and co-founder of Office42 Architecture.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with My Creative Mark? We hired My Creative Mark to develop our website.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? We initially went through some of our goals. Our company had an existing website, and My Creative Mark helped us check what wasn’t working and what we needed to improve. They provided us with some options until we finalized the look of the website. From there, we provided them with our information through Google or Dropbox. They put the data into the website, and we had some back and forth to review the website. Moreover, they taught our staff how to use and update the website, which was made using Webflow. They also did some troubleshooting post-launch to check if things worked properly and if there were bugs. What is the team composition? A designer was originally assigned to our project, but when he couldn’t do the job, Christian (Founder & CEO) took over to finish the job. How did you come to work with My Creative Mark? Christian and I were in the same professional group, so I already knew what he could do. How much have you invested with them? We invested around $7,000–$8,000. What is the status of this engagement? The project lasted from November 2022–October 2023.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We wanted something that we could use and update by ourselves in the simplest way possible, and Christian developed strategies and options that we could update easily over time. I appreciated that they used Webflow, and they utilized it in many ways to its fullest potential. How did My Creative Mark perform from a project management standpoint? Unfortunately, we had a big hiccup in terms of project management. Christian had a big loss in terms of his designer, who was unable to proceed with the project as we expected. As a result, there was a huge lag in time. We didn’t hear from them for a couple of months. Christian finally came back and apologized, saying he found himself in a tough place. He gave us the option to continue or abort the project, and we decided to continue. He successfully completed the project from there, though it took a year to finish instead of just three months. We also had some disagreements in terms of pricing. We discussed half-cost options in terms of what he could build, but he came back and built with the full amount. We had differing viewpoints on how that had gone down. Christian didn’t inform me that he wanted to charge the full amount, and he proceeded with more and more work on his part. Fortunately, we came to a middle ground where we made an agreement. To communicate, we used Zoom, phone calls, and emails. What did you find most impressive about them? My Creative Mark had great customer service; they were attentive and responsive to our needs. The team strived to achieve our vision and helped us realize what we wanted to do. They thought about ways to make things happen in a simple, affordable, and quick way. Are there any areas they could improve? There were some hiccups on our launch page, and I wasn’t 100% sure if it was working correctly. There were also other incorrect things on the website. To be fair, Christian was always attentive to these things and worked on fixing them right away. He was on top of the things that we wanted to be better or work differently. Do you have any advice for potential customers? Incorporate assets early on in the development process. This way, you’ll have a more structural flow in terms of the things you want to update. You can also avoid a lot of backtracking and redoing many things. Completing the assets early on will help you see the final product more accurately.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had worked with My Creative Mark on several smaller projects since 2017 and were extremely with the results. We did not need to look elsewhere for other vendors.

I’m the founder of YallFit, an in-home personal training service.

What challenge were you trying to address with My Creative Mark?
I needed a full set of creative branding materials. Before I contacted My Creative Mark, I didn’t have a brand name, logo, website, or anything like that.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we worked together on creating my logo. They sent me a lot of color palettes, font templates, and other guidelines so I could discover how I wanted my branding to look. Once we agreed on the logo, they did the same process for my website, sending me a series of base templates to choose from and building off of that.
When building the site, My Creative Mark asked me what I was going to use the website for, then took the info that I gave them and created something that was exactly what I envisioned. Even now, I can make requests and changes and they are able to go in and edit the site to suit what I need.
My Creative Mark also helped me improve my social media presence, even going so far as helping me choose pictures to use from the collection that my photographer took. They wrote blogs for me and taught me how to properly use them to grow my business.
I’m a good personal trainer, but I was not experienced with marketing — they coached me through everything that I needed to know about marketing my business. This included teaching me about SEO, helping me get the right marketing software and tools, and showing me why everything that they were doing was important. On top of that, they coached me in my sales approach, such as putting out new promotions or changing up my pricing.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact has been with a single person, which is really convenient for me. I just tell him what I need, and he either does it himself or sends it out to whoever needs to be involved.

They were 100% accurate to the schedule and budget of my project. We used HubSpot for our project management and Acuity for scheduling things on our calendars.
What did you find most impressive about them?
My Creative Mark really cares about my vision and how to help me achieve my business goals as efficiently as possible — they took the time to really understand my needs and what I wanted out of the brand. They try to save me money while still providing great service, and they always give me 110%.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not off the top of my head. I’m very, very satisfied with the service, and I’m going to continue working with them for a long time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s important to communicate any thoughts and visions with them up front. My Creative Mark will make the vision a reality as long as the communication is there — they will take the time to deliver exactly what you want, but you have to tell them what that is.
