I’m the co-founder of TotalGPT, a cross-application AI tool for Mac and Windows that lets users instantly process or transform any selected text using keyboard shortcuts without switching windows or contexts.

What challenge were you trying to address with MVPMule?

We needed help developing the first production-ready version of TotalGPT, including the core desktop app, backend infrastructure, and a scalable feature foundation that supports cross-app text processing and AI shortcuts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MVPMule has built the full MVP, including the Mac/Windows desktop app, the system-wide text capture and shortcut engine, the AI action workflows, the backend API, and the clean UI/UX that ties it all together. The team is also handling maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MVPMule has delivered our MVP on time, reduced our development costs by over 40%, and enabled our first cohort of beta users within weeks. We’ve onboarded around 120 beta users in that first cohort, and we’ve tracked daily active usage, task-completion rates, and a simple satisfaction score. During our beta, we’ve seen roughly 72% daily active usage. Our beta users have reported an average task-completion rate of about 88% and a satisfaction score of roughly 4.6 out of 5.

How did MVPMule perform from a project management standpoint?

MVPMule’s project management has been excellent. Communication is tight, updates are consistent, and the team works very transparently. They’ve delivered the MVP on time and sometimes even ahead of schedule when we’ve needed quick iterations. We primarily communicate via virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive part has been how fast and collaborative they are. MVPMule works like an embedded team, not an outsourced agency. They’ve understood the product immediately, iterated at startup speed, and consistently delivered clean, reliable builds without needing hand-holding.
