What challenge were you trying to address with Mtoag Technologies Pvt LTD.?
I was working with another development company before, but our engagement was very complicated. They didn't understand how to complete the tasks, and there was a lot of confusion about our business.
Our applications were quite difficult to explain, and people understood them in different ways. Where we are, if something is different, it becomes complicated somehow. Thus, we engaged with Mtoag to complete our food delivery application.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we came up with the concept for the application. We needed it to work for the three different parts involved in food delivery: the vendor, the courier or driver, and the customer. After agreeing on the scope, we created the contracts and shared them with Mtoag, and we also shared our payment terms.
Then, we gave them an example of another food delivery application and told them that we need something similar. They built the application with different functions, add-ons, and details.
Mtoag did the development in three phases. The first phase was adding restaurants to our platform, the second was coming up with a system for drivers to reach them, and the third phase was focused on how to complete the orders. After completing the orders, there needed to be some payment gateways involved as well.
Mtoag also added a currency exchange system to the backend to add new countries and cities to operate in. With this functionality, we will be able to use the application worldwide if we want to.
As for other key features, the application has a function where users can track the driver and request the restaurant a follow-up. There’s another feature where, if no one accepts the order or the restaurants don't know that we have placed orders, the application sends an alert every five minutes. We can keep track of what’s going on, which is very beneficial for completing the deliveries.
Mtoag also helped me with IT services for the application to figure out why my servers were down. Additionally, they researched and gave me helpful ideas throughout the project because I didn't know anything about it; I just knew how I wanted to use the application.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a total of three people. Yogesh (CEO), a senior head of development, and a third person, who was always doing testing for every function. We had to know if everything was working well, so he always met with me, and we shared screen tests on our phones and computers.
How did you come to work with Mtoag Technologies Pvt LTD.?
I found Mtoag doing a Google search. I sent a request to 4–5 companies looking for different options. Some companies were very expensive, and it seemed like they would not add more features to my application. Every new feature was very costly.
Mtoag was the most affordable company, and I luckily found them because they were the best. I didn't go with other companies because I wanted to invest as little money as possible to see how the outcome looked.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $6,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around March 2018, and we completed the project in December 2018. The development took almost eight months, and I started my business in January 2019.
Currently, I don't have tasks pending on Mtoag’s end, so their involvement is done. However, they still help me sometimes, free of charge. They advise me when I want to add new features and help me with troubleshooting.

I am very impressed with their commitment to after-development services that I have been leveraging till now. The app they developed is fast and user-friendly and helped me increase my sales and customer loyalty. The team was always responsive, listened to my feedback, and implemented the changes. I am happy to have worked with them. I still call them to resolve my issues and they are always happy to do so.
In what ways can they improve?
I don’t think they need any improvement; they are the best in every aspect. The development team is superb, project management is excellent and professionalism is at par excellence.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?:
I only want to say that you should propose your requirements regarding the development clearly to the team; the rest will be handled by them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Mtoag provided us with the service we needed, and finally, we were able to operate our business in Rwanda, Africa. There were a few challenges, but they were very reliable, and they did a complete job. They did what they needed to do to build the application, and they satisfied what I requested.
In terms of my business, I started with very few numbers. I didn’t see any activity until the second month. Now, we are somehow popular in Rwanda. There are 8–9 similar companies here, and we are the second most popular. We have increased with some very good numbers, and now we are planning to move forward in Nigeria.
How did Mtoag Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Mtoag’s team was very friendly, which was a good thing. As a business, they were trying to satisfy my needs, and they did a good job. Sometimes, even during the night, they solved problems and fixed bugs within one hour.
I’m happy that I found them. Some companies in technology ask for more money to fix problems, but Mtoag was very honest and straightforward. They didn’t ask for more money, and they did whatever they were supposed to do to fix the bugs.
Even now, sometimes, I take advice from them, and we’re happy to collaborate. In the future, if I have another application I will hire them again.
For communication, we used Skype. Sometimes, my internet was down, so we used WhatsApp as well — they were very flexible, and we communicated quickly. Every time I had a problem, I shared the photo and called them. We also used email for sharing the contract and the documents with my requirements.
Sometimes, I called directly to Mtoag’s CEO when they were not available online. Other times, we used AnyDesk to do demos. They installed it on my computer and taught me how to use it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Mtoag was reliable. Up until now, they are still communicating with me, sending emails and products. Other companies found it difficult to develop my platform. If I hadn’t found Mtoag, I’d still be stuck, or I might have already closed my company.
Mtoag is still available for me, and they’ve kept in touch. If I want to make any changes, I'm ready to pay them, and they are still ready to work. I would rather keep working with them because they know all my projects.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s difficult to talk about improvement because this was a very difficult job. Sometimes, I couldn't explain properly what I needed, so I couldn’t expect them to give me 100% satisfaction. It would be good if they took some time to do more research and make sure that they understand very well to save time.
My project was supposed to be done in 4–5 months, but it was delayed by 2–3 months extra. They need to improve their skills of understanding paperwork in the beginning to satisfy the timeframe.
Any advice for potential customers?
Mtoag is the best company to work with. They are very friendly and respectful about payments. Put on record every requirement and write down every single thing in your contract before engaging with them, so your project is not delayed.
