Way more than just animation

MOWE is the creative agency that brings ideas to life through Animation and Motion Graphics, creating memorable experiences for those watching - and those paying the bill.

Our expertise goes beyond Animation

Doing exceptional animation is not a real challenge for us. Every project has a more significant marketing challenge to solve, and our strategic approach is what differentiates us from most studios. We work side by side with Agencies, questioning and discussing strategies to understand the best way to use our animation skills to solve the client's real challenges.

Talking about a project's development, we lead projects from its conception until its success: Art direction, Script, Storyboard, Design, Illustration, Animation, Sound design. Phew! Creating videos demands a ton of work, right?! We know it!

Motionflashback 2019 - MOWE Studio

A glimpse of what our talented birds create when they flap their wings.

Anymotion is the biggest Motion Graphics event in Latin America and we had the honor of being invited to create the Opening title for their 2019 edition.

For this project, we received the best and most difficult briefing possible: Surprise Me!
The result? We created an Opening Title for a fake anime-inspired series called Anymotion, where our motion heroes fight against the stillness of the world,

bringing life and movement to everything that surrounds us.

Curious about the process behind it? Check out the case study at mowe.studio/project/anymotion-2019

Presented during Anymotion Conference, in São Paulo, Brazil on November 15, 2019.

Can't Beat Me

From the unique perspective of a female boxer, we follow her day-to-day, with all the real struggles that women still have to go through in today's society. Her dedication and passion showcase the strength required to fuel her perseverance, and the strength achieved as a result of this daily battle. A woman's real weapon is not her fists, it's her mind and her

This is MOWE's first short-movie and it's a pleasure for us to support the vision of the women from our team, amplifying their voices and sharing a reality they wanted the world to see about being a woman in today's world.

Quantum - Iluli

What do you think when you hear the word Quantum? We know that it can seem both a pretty scary word and a big physics mystery that nobody seems to truly understand.

The thing is that a lot of people not only understand that but are currently working on it, making it the building blocks of technology's evolution. We explain in a really fun and modern way the basic concepts behind Quantum Mechanics, as well

as the current attempts and struggles of its appliance to computing and how impactful it can be for the future of technology.

Reasoning from First Principles | Iluli

Do you know that Aristotle and Elon Musk have in common? Together with Iluli's team, we found a really fun way to explain the gist of what reasoning from first principles is. This method of problem-solving has been central to both Aristotle and Elon Musk whenever they were trying to solve a problem – and that's actually what made Elon create Space X.

Combining the power jokes and mixed-media animation, the

video – which was released at the beginning of July 2019 – has been a great success, receiving many positive comments and achieving almost 500000 views in less than a month!

Bosque de Cultura

"Choque de Cultura" is one of the biggest comedy groups in Brazil. They started on YouTube and quickly expanded to the biggest traditional TV Channel in the country. MOWE team created this small animation as a tribute to the many laughs we got from them. The concept was simple: what if the guys from "Choque de Cultura" were animals?

A great part of this project involved studying the characteristic of the

actors and characters they represent and come up with animals that most translate what makes them unique. All that combining with animals connected with the Brazilian fauna, and other related to the show.

Feedback summary:

The 20 videos in the monthly series published so far have garnered 15 million views and 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. MOWE Studio handles end-to-end production and excels at delivering quality videos on time. Their creativity, attention to detail, and organization make for a smooth partnership.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of global platforms for an internal technology group within a large pharmaceutical company.

What challenge were you trying to address with MOWE Studio?

My team found it a challenge to articulate technical topics and what our more abstract platforms do.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MOWE Studio created short animated videos that were less than five minutes in two different initiatives. In both projects, they own the creative process.

In the first case, we needed to explain an abstract platform that we needed to get internal funding for. MOWE Studio created a 90-second video. The next initiative involved a series of monthly explainer videos. They talked about different topics that were of interest to our larger organization, from cybersecurity to program delivery to futurism in technology. The full end-to-end production takes five months for each video, and MOWE Studio is involved in every step of the way.

What is the team composition?

We have a main point of contact and speak to the two owners of the company. There are more behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with MOWE Studio?

I found some of Felippe’s (Co-Founder, Executive Creative Director) materials on Instagram or a website. I was impressed with the stuff he was doing and messaged him about our first project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $300,000–$500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The first project took place around the summer of 2015. The second project started 18 months ago and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The first project went extremely well. The people understood this concept, and the platform got unanimously funded, which led to a company-wide transformation initiative. The second project has resulted in 20 videos viewed internally and externally with the public. We’ve gained over 15 million views and over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube.

How did MOWE Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything is well-structured to get things done and meet our deadlines while leaving time for reviews. They brought on a producer that runs things day-to-day and set a schedule. The team has never missed deadlines or a video release.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate the creativity and attention to detail MOWE Studio put into each video. Every time you watch one of their clips, you find a new detail you overlooked previously.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they could improve their ability to scale. If I started asking for five videos to be produced per month, I’m not sure they’d be able to do it. They’ve done everything I’ve needed them to do now, however.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be really clear on what you’re after. If you want a quick video slapped together, don’t use them. If you want a team that will dive into what you want to achieve and produce something impactful, go with MOWE Studio. The project will need two-way communication. They will add value, contribute ideas, and be actively involved in the creative process.
