The project involved developing a user-friendly website and mobile application that allows users to record videos and rent various items. Key deliverables included a robust online platform, a seamlessly integrated mobile application, and a user-friendly interface designed for ease of use. We worked with Movadex team on every stage of the platform development, from ideation to launch. 
They offered an incredible level of expertise and flexibility which allowed us to first build an MVP, and later proceed to more sophisticated development once we were onboarding users. Their engineering team is exceptional in that they offer not only bug-free development but also creative solutions that allow early-stage startups to experiment and quickly adjust based on the changing needs.

Not only did we experience a significant increase in our user retention, but also improved user experience which resulted in higher profits. Since Movadex offered design services, we were able to fully redesign our platform and the workflows, which ultimately led to satisfied end-users.

Movadex started out by completely redesigning our existing mobile app based on state-of-the-art UI and UX principles & also designed some of the major upcoming product features to be integrated in the future. After the design phase, the Movadex developers team came onto the project and started building the app from scratch on a React Native base and additionally build an entirely new web app.

On top of that, the Movadex design team provided us with some fresh graphic designs for our sales and marketing materials.

The most impressive traits of Movadex are their speed, quality of work, and last, but not least: their great culture and service orientation. Every single person we met from their team genuinely wants to make sure the project becomes a success and is willing to go the extra mile to achieve the highest quality solution possible.

In hindsight, a little more time probably should have been spent laying out even more detailed project specs before starting the actual work – however, this is not a one-way street of course and is a learning for us as well considering the sheer size of the project. Nonetheless, the flexible and hands-on approach of Movadex and the great collaboration between their and our product team allowed for quickly overcoming minor planning gaps.

I'm the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of CoVoice LLC. CoVoice is a communications company with a mission to help individuals and businesses who can't communicate because of a language barrier be understood by connecting them to a qualified interpreter seamlessly.

We hired Movadex to create a mobile app for interpreters to be connected to people requesting assistance from one. We noticed that the competitors in the space focus on large businesses (ie, Hospitals and Law firms). Our goal was to have a user-friendly platform that was easy to use for the everyday person who needs help from an interpreter. Movadex went above and beyond in delivering.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched online and narrowed down our selection to a handful of developers. After a zoom call with Movadex, my co-founder and I unanimously decided to move forward with them based off of their professionalism, design capabilities, and initial ideas they had to improve on our project/app.

We had an initial discovery meeting to make sure our goals and objectives were clearly discussed and understood. We provided the team with logo assets and they provided us with mood boards where we were able to provide feedback easily and in real time via Figma. Movadex also provided wireframes via Figma. When we were satisfied with the design and user flow we progressed to test the experience on the phone. When satisfied with that stage of development we ran it through beta testing for both iphone and android.

We had constant communications with the founder and CEO Nor, who was always attentive and responsive with any questions or issues that needed attention and resolution. That being said, Movadex also provided a dedicated project manager, team of designers, and backend developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Thanks to Movadex, CoVoice has passed a rigorous app store process and is approved to download on apple products. We're also approved to be downloaded in the google play store for android phones.

Movadex was easy to communicate with. The communication and design tools used were Slack, Figma, and Google slides.

What I love about Movadex is that they don't just agree to every piece of feedback. They always challenge you if they feel that there's a better resolve. I also appreciate their personal attention.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have nothing bad to say about Nor and the team at Movadex. They're great to work with, and I would recommend anyone looking to develop a SaaS product to them.

I’m the chief growth officer of a hospitality company.

We hired them to build our SaaS product for hotels.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After Movadex completed the wireframe stage, they proceeded to create our UI, building out the colors and functionalities of our platform. From there, we did multiple sprints, and once we got our first developed product, we iterated, tested, and made changes to the system.

Once we were satisfied with that, they helped us with data migration from our existing technology to the new SaaS product. We’ve already launched the product, but we’ll contact them on an as-needed basis.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with several people in the project, including Nor (CEO & Founder) who serves as our product lead. We also collaborate with two UI designers, a project manager, and a backend developer.

How did you come to work with Movadex?

A friend of mine recommended another company, but I wanted to have multiple options so I searched for potential vendors online. I found Movadex through Clutch. In total, I evaluated three potential vendors.

Movadex had really good communication with us right from the beginning, and they had solid presentations and decks with content that explained the whole process. On top of that, they explained how they’d deliver the work, what requirements they needed from us, and what the timeline would be like.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in July 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our product has been working smoothly thanks to Movadex. I don’t have any metrics to share, but we’ve definitely seen an increase in the number of users that want to use our product.

They’ve been extremely helpful throughout the process; they’ve advised us on best practices for some of the changes we wanted to implement. We definitely get great value from the money we spend on them. Overall, we’re really happy with the work they're doing.

How did Movadex perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Adobe, Figma, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Despite the pretty significant time difference between the US and Ukraine, their team stays communicative, and they adhere to our timelines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very organized, and their process is a little more visible than some of the vendors I’ve evaluated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any negative feedback about them.

Schedule consistent calls and meetings so that there can be a sync between the work they’re doing and in the communication and requirements from your business, especially if you're from the US.

I don't have any exact data but the webpage has turned out to have a simple customer user interface that people enjoy booking services on.

We were in contact 3-4 days a week on Skype group chat. The project manager was always accessible. We are located in the USA while Movadex in Ukraine so obviously the mornings our time was the prime time to communicate with them. We did not have much contact after noon EST.

The project manager's accessibility and always following up in a timely manner when things didn't work. Movadex is quick to fix code issues when necessary.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We're overall very happy although we learned that sometimes they could have spent a bit more time on quality control checks. However, this was not a big thing as they always fixed any coding/design issues quickly at no extra costs.

I’m the CEO and founder of Artisfact, a startup that operates as a marketplace for fine arts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Movadex?

It was challenging for us to find a software development team that was capable of building complex systems and customizing APIs. As a result, we collaborated with Movadex for a custom software development project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Movadex built our platform. They started with a general structuring of our project, separating it into sprints to make it more manageable. They used React and Node.js in creating the custom software for us. 

At present, Movadex continues to provide support for us whenever we have questions. However, their big-picture work has been finished. 

In terms of app features, our platform is a marketplace that caters to two types of users. It’s similar to Etsy or other services that put two types of customers in a win-win transaction. Users can sign up and either offer items on sale or purchase fine arts items. We also offer all types of custom analytics and charts to make the overall experience seamless.

What is the team composition?

At first, we worked with their general director to structure the project. Then, I’ve worked with their dedicated project manager, two backend developers, two frontend developers, and a team of web designers.

I found Movadex on UpWork as we were searching for vendors for this specific project. Meanwhile, when I interviewed them, they seemed solid. As a result, they got the job.

We’ve invested over $80,000.

Movadex started working on this project in January 2021, and the engagement is technically ongoing, although the bulk of their work has been completed.

For success metrics, our external audits have come out well. Generally, it’s been a positive experience working with the Movadex team. They’ve met our expectations and delivered within our established deadlines.

Their project management was highly streamlined. We use development sprints, and they stick with those processes. As a result, the project has been quite structured. For tools, we use Asana to manage the project. We also use Messenger, Telegram, and WhatsApp for day-to-day communication.

The Movadex is capable of performing any type of request. They always find solutions for our technology needs, and that’s pretty impressive.

No, there aren’t any.

Be clear about your expectations, and set tangible and measurable goals. Check what Movadex is doing as often as you can. That way, you and their team can correct mistakes on the go.

We initially contracted Movadex to complete a small-scale project, which allowed us to assess the quality of their services. As that project was successful, we then contracted them for WordPress website and logo creation.

We gave them detailed requirements and materials such as pictures and guidelines for the branding. We also gave them examples of websites and logos, so they knew what we wanted. Their team created different pages, including a landing page, and implemented dynamic elements throughout the website. They branded the site and designed the UI/UX.

The project’s ongoing because we’re still providing Movadex with feedback. Their team’s iterating on the website’s look and feel. However, it’s been successful so far. We’re really happy and have no complaints.

We communicate via Slack, and we’re happy with their project management. Their team’s responsive and patient with our stakeholders’ feedback.  However, Movadex’s work is usually well-received. Although the project’s ongoing, it’s not because Movadex works slowly.

How did you select Movadex and what were the deciding factors?

Of all the agencies that I reached out to, I found Movadex to be the most professional and ambitious of all when it came to this project specifically. They provided a clear plan of action to get the project done.

Design and development of a personal blog using Strapi, Gatsby and Netlify. Initially, the wireframes were developed and delivered in Figma. Upon receiving my feedback, they went through a number of iterations before moving forward to development.

The development took twice as long as the design. The website was shared and we went through a few rounds of feedback on the developed website to get to the ideal state.

I worked with four people directly (CEO, COO, junior designer, and junior developer). I believe there were quite a few other individuals contributing to the project in the background that I didn't work with directly.

The finished product was very close to the ideal picture I had in mind during the conceptual stage.
