the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of a SaaS company that provides a scheduling and rostering software to professional orchestras.
What challenge were you trying to address with In Motion Marketing?
We didn’t have digital marketing experience or the capacity to form our own strategies, so we needed someone to help us improve our online presence.
What was the scope of their involvement?
In Motion Marketing is helping us create marketing strategies and campaigns to move our business forward. They’ve been providing us with web development, CRM implementation, and improving our lead generation efforts.
Part of their key deliverables is reporting the results of the platform’s traffic and conversion rate.
What is the team composition?
I’m mainly working with Bryan (Head of Marketing).
How did you come to work with In Motion Marketing?
We found In Motion Marketing through a local startup group.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in December 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have no digital experience and what we’re doing at the moment is creating KPIs to measure their performance. Everything is new so we don’t have any metrics to share.
How did In Motion Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent from a project management perspective, and it’s been the best part about working with them. We meet up with Bryan regularly to get updates and see the progress of the project, and they’ve done a lot of work to educate us on what we needed to know in this space.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re very impressed with their clear communication skills and digital marketing knowledge.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would love it if they could put out a retainer moving forward so we can have a closer relationship. They’re doing a really good job on this project, but I want more of it outside of what we’ve already agreed to.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The advice I would give is to just be clear about where you are and what your expectations are. Make sure to be clear about what you don’t understand so they can support you in pushing the project forward.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Crew is a Recruitment agency for the technology market in Melbourne. I'm the founder/owner.
For what projects/services did your company hire In Motion Marketing, and what were your goals?
We're in a highly competitive space but we're also slightly different to our competitors. We needed a way to improve our web site, our SEO, our web ranking, our content and also the way we generate leads. InMotion has helped with all of these.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I spoke to several agencies and they all started trying to upsell straight away, I felt like they weren't really listening to what I needed. It was more about them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We mapped out the business problems and the priorities, then built a timeline of activities to start resolving them. We still do a call once a week and go through activities and outcomes and agree a plan for the coming week.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
1
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Improvements in domain authority, lead generation numbers have increased dramatically, and a lot more clarity on how we communicate what the business does.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They have a brilliant workflow. We're in on shared slack and g drives so everything keeps moving.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I think there's always a difference when you're dealing with the owner of the business, a lot more connection.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Keep being themselves.

Web Dev & Digital Marketing for Training Company
"In Motion Marketing offers tailored services that meet our needs."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of The Training Store, an in-person and online training company that works with businesses looking to improve their staff morale. We also help them enhance their customer experiences.
What challenge were you trying to address with In Motion Marketing?
We were looking to expand our reach and clarify our message. As a result, we hired In Motion Marketing to update our marketing strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an existing website, but it was confusing and clunky. Since we wanted it to be streamlined, we opted to have a fresh and new platform. In Motion Marketing then built a new website using Elementor and they used a new domain. They also introduced the StoryBrand framework and we used that philosophy in building the website and as a way to understand our marketing. Furthermore, they ensured the text and content of the platform had a modern look and a clear message. We then gave them directions regarding the color and the branding of the site. After we gave them our guidelines, they put it all together.
They also helped us with our e-commerce site because it wasn’t working properly. They helped us link our Shopify site to our online learning platform, and they implemented the necessary integrations we needed. The team also helped us with setting up our shared email platform for improved efficiency.
They now continue to help us improve our SEO and ensure that we maintain our status on Google’s first page. That includes leading our keyword research process. We’re also looking at tools they can use in order to help us write content that Google wants to see. They create an outline for the articles we need to write, and they break it down into a number of headings so that we can input the information we need since we’re the subject matter experts (SMEs).
They also help us with our social media campaign and it’s focused on posting an evergreen type of content. That way, we can circulate the existing content that we have on multiple platforms. On top of that, they give us insights into the latest trends and marketing approaches such as identifying new technologies that can help us automate our processes. Then, when we’re looking at new marketing tools, they help us research and identify what’s the best course of action and what’s going to bring us the best value for our investment.
What is the team composition?
We’re only working with Bryan (Head of Marketing).
How did you come to work with In Motion Marketing?
I advertised for a part-time digital marketer, and Brian submitted interest in the position. When I met him, he convinced me to bring him on as a contractor. As a result, I decided to work with him and his organization separately instead of hiring them internally.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started collaborating in November 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We now have more people who visit our site — they click and sign up. As such, our rankings have improved and our website is attracting organic leads. The team really helps us track that whole journey and that has been a big improvement because we only track our end-users using the contact us form before. Today, we’ve got every component we need to see how our third-party stakeholders interact and engage in our platform. As a result, we’ve achieved better transparency when it comes to our lead generation journey.
In Motion Marketing is a reliable partner when it comes to marketing. We always go to them whenever we want to know what we need to do; they give really trusted guidance and support. On the financial component side, there hasn’t been a massive payoff since we’ve invested a lot, but we’re hoping to get our ROI soon.
How did In Motion Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate on Google Chat, and we have weekly catch-ups. They’re definitely on track with meeting deadlines. If we’ve missed deadlines, it’s probably because we don’t get information to them in time. Moreover, they’re good at keeping us moving forward by using tools such as Asana.
What did you find most impressive about them?
In Motion Marketing offers tailored services that meet our needs. They’re also flexible when it comes to our budget, and with their support, we’ve accessed services that normally only larger companies can access.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Aside from focusing on the marketing side of the engagement, there’s an area of opportunity for In Motion Marketing to consider the investment side of our business. Just like any business owner, we want to receive our ROI as soon as possible. However, we know that it can be a challenge to do that when they’re busy setting up everything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you dedicate enough time to do the work you need to do with In Motion Marketing. In addition, ensure that you are clear about the results that you want. Above all, commit to the project wholeheartedly.
The client enjoys a higher open rate, and their salary survey has received over 1,800 contributors through In Motion Marketing's paid media and email marketing campaigns. The flexible team leads regular meetings to ensure transparency and provides services tailor-fit to the client's needs.
