Taking the existing brand style and modernising its usage, we developed a new architecture, page layout, image bank and content for the whole site. We also created downloadable ebooks hosted on the site.
Metrics across the board were radically improved: including site speed, usability, time on site, visitor numbers, organic search and most importantly feedback from prospects has been positive.
Client feedback:

Media relations campaign for national charity
We contacted Suzy Lamplugh Trust after noticing that media and public interest in their involvement with National Stalking Awareness Week in previous years had been low. We undertook media relations and social media activities to publicise a report into stalking behaviours and to promote the awareness week.
With only four months to go before the Awareness Week, there was no confirmation of the contents of the intended report, no Communications Officer at the Trust and no strategic plan in place. Previously, the Trust was reactive to requests from the media, causing difficulties with availability of case studies and speakers, but had not been overly proactive. There were no pre-existing relationships with media to draw upon.
Reporting to the Senior Policy and Campaigns Manager, we created a communications plan which was manageable given the staffing levels, budget and timeframe. Central to this was working with the researchers to uncover the newshooks and creating press materials that would grab attention. Pre-sells were made under embargo to planning desks at the BBC, ITV and other news outlets including the Press Association. A campaign logo was also created and used in a series of posters for educating police officers.
- We sold the story into the Press Association, which resulted in widespread national, regional and local coverage
- Coverage appeared in almost every national newspaper – including The Times, The Sun, The Guardian, The i Paper – as well as key online outlets such as The Huffington Post
- Broadcast coverage was achieved through BBC, Sky News, Channel 5, ITV and Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour
- @Live_Life_Safe tweet impressions increased by 235%, profile visits grew by 25% and new followers gained in April rose by 240%, compared to March
- @TalkingStalking tweet impressions grew by 1,306%, profile visits increased by 260% and new followers gained in April rose by 165%, compared to March

Content and social retainer for geotechnical monitoring contractor
SOCOTEC Monitoring works in a very niche market, delivering specialist geotechnical and structural monitoring services to tier 1 contractors on high profile projects such as Crossrail. Understanding their business goals, target sectors and prospective customers is vital in ensuring that the right messages are communicated to the correct audiences in engaging ways.
We already had a great understanding of the sector in which they operate but, to ensure that our activities continue to align with business goals, we attend regular company strategy days and run workshops with senior management.
A bespoke content strategy and implementation plan was devised, with content being created to support the various specialist divisions on an ongoing basis.
Results include:
- The number of users visiting the website has increased by 37%
- Traffic coming to the website via the social media channels has risen by 218%
- Time on site has increased to over 2 minutes, which is considered excellent, from 1 minute 30 seconds
- The rate of new followers gained on LinkedIn rose more in 2 months than it did the past 2 years

Content and social retainer for manufacturer of security products
Having worked with Fastlane for two years through a previous employer, we were thrilled to be approached by them when we set up Morton Waters back in 2016, to pitch for providing content marketing strategy and implementation and broad marketing support. Even more thrilled that we continue to work with them now.
Our main challenge was to improve engagement with the Fastlane Turnstiles website, which had experienced a significant fall in users, pages viewed and time spent on site. Our first task was to devise a content strategy that would restore interest in the website, keeping existing users coming back for more and appealing to new visitors alike.
We translate the often technical and complicated sales messages into compelling content and deliver this through marketing activities such as PR, email marketing, social media, website development, print collateral and exhibitions. This content is designed to engage with buyers at various stages of the sales cycle, helping to move unaware prospects through to loyal customers.
Results include:
- Increased the time spent looking at the blog posts by nearly 520% on average, with people spending around 3:15 minutes on site
- Over 24% increase in page views across the site
- 19% increase in acquisition via organic search, showing how the content keyword strategy is improving the visibility of the site

Content Creation for Security Product Company
"Morton Waters understands the industry and market we’re in."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior marketing manager at Oprema. We supply security products in the B2B trade. We work with about 150 partners and manufacturers, and we resell their products to the trade.
What challenge were you trying to address with Morton Waters?
We work with Morton Waters’ content creation services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team puts together case studies for us. Our business works with different companies that include the distributor, manufacturer, the installer, and the end user. It’s quite difficult to get case studies together with the hassle of calling everyone and getting interviews together.
Morton Waters takes all of that off our hands. Whenever we have a potential case study, we send the details over to Michelle (Co-Founder & Head of Operations). She does the interviews and write up.
They’ve also worked with us on articles. We’ve done double-page spreads and editorials. We had our ten-year anniversary this year. They interviewed a couple of the directors and wrote up a piece for a magazine spread.
What is the team composition?
We usually work with Michelle and Charlotte (Co-Founder & Head of Strategy).
How did you come to work with Morton Waters?
I started working here about two years ago, and the company is about 10 years old. I believe Michelle was working freelance for us. When she launched Morton Waters, we continued working with them because we were impressed by her service.
How much have you invested with them?
I believe we spend about £5,000 a year (approximately $6,500 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our company started working with Morton Waters in 2010.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We rarely have to change any of their work. I’ve worked with agencies previously, and they either don’t understand the copy or tone of voice. Morton Waters understands the industry and market we’re in. I know that when I’m hiring them to do a piece of work that I will only have to proof it. They give me the right piece of mind.
When I came on at the company, I was told that I could bring on someone else if I wanted. Morton Waters delivers a great and experienced service. They also turn things around very quickly. We know we’re not one of their biggest clients, but I know that I could phone Michelle today and say we need a case study by next week. She’s great at turning things around quickly at a reasonable price.
They provide us with post-campaign analysis. For a recent case study we wanted in the press, they looked into how many people picked it up, how many websites it went on, and how many hits. I know that Michelle will provide a summary report for us.
How did Morton Waters perform from a project management standpoint?
There’s never been a time where they haven’t met a deadline. Recently, we’ve sold a lot of equipment to hospitals during COVID-19. We have a lot of temperature measurement devices. We donated one to a hospital in Wales, and we needed something pushed out to the market in days.
Michelle was fantastic. It felt like she dropped everything to do that for us. To have an agency like that, it’s gold.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate the service they provide. They’re always spot on. I’m not sure if it’s because they know the industry well or have worked with us for so long, but I rarely have to make any changes. They make my life easier.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not that I can think of. I’m pretty happy with the service.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give it a go, especially if you work in the security industry. They know their stuff. It does surprise me at times with how good they are at putting everything together.

PR & SMM for A/C & Refrigerator Contractor
“They listened and tailored the solution to what we required.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an A/C and refrigerator contracting company. We’re a national provider across the entire UK.
What challenge were you trying to address with Morton Waters?
Despite being a national provider, we didn’t have a strong profile within the industry. We were known by recommendation, but outside of our small group of contacts, we weren’t known by the wider market. We commissioned Morton Waters to increase our visibility across the industry specifically across facilities management and hospitality customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Morton Waters provides social media marketing efforts for our Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. They also create blog posts for us as well as write collateral that positions me as a leader within the industry. They write articles that are published in leading magazines.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with Michelle (Co-Founder & Head of Operations) and Charlotte (Co-Founder & Head of Strategy).
How did you come to work with Morton Waters?
They were very accommodating and flexible in their approach. It was clear they wanted to understand our business. I liked that they weren’t pushy and gave me a suite of options that’d work within my budget. They listened and wanted to work with us to support us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about £20,000 (approximately $26,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in February 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our media profile and visibility increased tremendously. I’ve been receiving lots of interactions and comments on my personal LinkedIn. We’ve also gotten more views in relation to the company and the strength of our brand. People are very aware of who we are now, which is what we wanted. We attract the right buyers.
I went to a networking event about six months after we started the engagement and witnessed the direct results of the marketing efforts. Previously, I was known in the industry but not associated with my company’s name. Several individuals at the event approached me and praised how massive my profile had gotten. They asked what I had done and why it was so strong. That feedback was on the back of Morton Waters supporting us and making sure our brand is publicized across the industry. It was a real indication that it actually worked.
How did Morton Waters perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been great with project management. Their team always hits all the deadlines. They publish articles and social media posts regularly and on their own; they don’t need chasing. Morton Waters is proactive and also tells us when there are updates.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with their approachability. They listened and tailored the solution to what we required.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing that needs improvement. Proof of that is found in the fact that we’ve commissioned them for another one of my businesses that they’re actively doing work for.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Listen to them as well as allow them to advise and perform what you require. They know their stuff.
