Introduce your business and what you do there.

We make travel equipment for the modern traveler. I'm the director of marketing and have worked with the company for about six months.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Moonshine Marketing?

We were scaling our paid advertising dollars. We had a baseline, and we wanted to see how far we could stretch our money. We brought them on to come up with marketing hypotheses to figure out the best way to spend.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They've worked with us for a few months on our paid advertising. We're currently using Google and YouTube, and they run all our paid campaigns through those channels. They produce and place our ads, and they run a full turnkey solution for us. They worked with us on messaging and came up with the best options for us. Most of the ads are text-based.

What is the team composition?

I interact with their head. He's my direct contact and the only person I've worked with so far.

How did you come to work with Moonshine Marketing?

I worked with their founder on a number of projects. I met him a few years ago, and he's one of the best PPC people in the area. I knew he was well respected and could answer some questions. I brought him on, and he's been a great fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We've put in around $20,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in March 2019 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our baseline performance has doubled or tripled month over month. We were initially getting 3X or 4X returns, and now we see anywhere from 8X to 10X.

How did Moonshine Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They're really easy to work with. We have a dedicated Slack channel and a weekly sprint call. We chat through the tasks for each week, and I couldn't be happier with their project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We wanted to work with a small boutique agency who understood our needs and could help us grow and scale month to month. We didn't have a huge budget, and they found ways to get the best long-term relationship with us.

They came to us optimistic, and we worked through a couple of different platforms until we settled on one that works best. They adjusted their strategy to meet our needs, which has been very helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No; they're great all around. Communication is on point, and their overall performance is very good. They're great to work with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open about your strategy and take on different ideas from them. Tell them about the audience you hope to target, and they'll test out some options for you.
