Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of communications at Ciner, which is a mining company.

What challenge were you trying to address with MOCK?

We were purchased by our parent company in Istanbul, so we had to rebrand our company. We needed a vendor to help us with our rebranding efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created the look and feel of our brand and developed brand guidelines. Then, they designed our website and produced collateral marketing material, advertising, and some trade magazines for us. They always listen to us and come up with the designs that are spot-on, so we usually have to do only one iteration.

What is the team composition?

We work closely with their owner, who is our main point of contact, and we also work with 1–2 other team members, depending on our needs.

How did you come to work with them?

We were interviewing several agencies for this project. MOCK was referred to us and we really liked their vision. They seemed to fit into our company culture, so we chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between $300,000–$350,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2015 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I love their creative work and the process they use. They understand what we're trying to accomplish and come back to us with 4–5 different ideas, so it's a very collaborative process.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very timely and meet all their deadlines. We constantly communicate throughout the week and sometimes we meet for lunch (I prefer in-person meetings to using a project management tool).

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're a small agency and always give us personal attention.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I've been extremely satisfied.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They're a smaller company, so it has to be the right fit for you. It worked great for us because we liked that they were able to give us attention whenever we needed it.

  • 5.0 Scheduling
They've stayed on top of their deadlines and pushed me.
  • 4.0 Cost
    Value / within estimates
They're very good, but some things were a little overpriced for our budget. When I pointed that out to them, they worked with us to bring the cost down.
  • 5.0 Quality
    Service & deliverables
We're working on a new campaign and they've always provided us with several different options, which has helped us a lot.
