The application that Mobile and Web Solutions built allows users to find, listen to, buy, and share content across social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Mobile and Web Solutions team completed the app on time and on budget. The team was helpful in providing substantive input.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was very easy throughout the project. We spoke primarily via email and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They gave us great advice on our designs and guided us through the process.

I’m the CEO and product architect at Communiti, a social application for iOS.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mobile and Web Solutions?

We had a preexisting version of our app, but the technology we had used to build it was difficult to scale. As our number of users increased, we decided to rebuild the app’s architecture using more modern native technologies like Swift. Mobile and Web Solutions came on to help us with this rebuild.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started by just taking on small aspects of the project, but they’re now managing all aspects of development in building our new app. Our product team based in Boston provided them with wireframes, user stories, and specifications prior to development. The app allows people to essentially help and support each other, and in the process earn social credits that can then be used for other business benefits. It aims to build a more social global community in taking on problems collaboratively.

What is the team composition?

We work with one project manager, two developers, and a large testing team. I’ve also worked very closely with the owner.

How did you come to work with Mobile and Web Development?

I found them on Upwork.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $20,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2017, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been very happy with the results of their work. They’re a very hardworking team that takes the time to ask questions and provide substantive suggestions. Everyone from our team has enjoyed working with them.

How did Mobile and Web Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project managers have been very dedicated. However, there are always challenges working with an overseas team. There was an initial learning curve while we got used to each other’s workflows, but things have gotten much better since. We use an Agile methodology to keep the project organized and communicate primarily via Skype and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a phenomenal company in all aspects. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable development agency.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more transparent in the hours they spend on our projects. Offshore companies often have multiple projects and it wasn’t always clear what they were working on.

I’m a senior designer and web developer at Tribe Design LLC, a branding and design firm that helps companies develop their brand from logos to websites. For this app-building project, I was the lead designer and point of contact.

Our client, a nonprofit organization that teaches children social skills to improve their behavior in school, hired us to translate and develop their printed and physical activities into an app for their trainers to use with students. We hired Mobile and Web Solutions to develop the Android version of this app for tablets.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to translate and develop our client’s existing printed material and games into an app, which had to be as fun and interactive as the original content. The app would upgrade the client’s services into the digital age to engage children while teaching social skills.

We selected Mobile and Web Solutions after reviewing bids on Freelancer. We looked at each vendor’s portfolio, capabilities, and proposal.

We worked with the client to translate their current printed materials and activities into a new digital format. We developed wireframes, workflows, screen designs, and assets for the app. Then, we provided all these assets to Mobile and Web Solutions, and they developed an Android app for tablets. Mobile and Web Solutions also provided technical support as the app was released.

I communicated with an account manager at Mobile and Web Solutions, who worked with their team of programmers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our client noticed increased engagement from students through using the app. Students and trainers have shared great feedback, and students eagerly asked for sessions with the app.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The account manager at Mobile and Web Solutions worked with us to convey questions and comments from the programming team. The communication was great, and the project moved along smoothly. The time difference worked in our favor, allowing us to get app builds before our workday started.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re totally committed to customer satisfaction. They worked with us to update the project scope once our client changed their directions for the app’s design. Their turnaround time with build updates and feedback was either on time or earlier than we expected.

Deliver the mobile app by the end of the summer for our customer

How did you select this vendor?

Using freelancer.com, Ankit got in touch with me and it was obvious that he had good experience since he was asking the correct questions.

Describe the project in detail.

All restaurants on our app gave 3 rebates of 50%, 25% and 10% for every visit from a customer to the restaurant. The customer would pay 10$/month to have access to the restaurant list. The cutsomer could also write reviews and share their experience. It was also possible for restaurant to invite influencers for a free meal.

A project manager, a programmer and me (the client)

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to deliver to the app store and google play store which was our goal. However, the end client went out of business so we never got the chance to really test the full potential of the app.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was great. Timezone was a bit of an issue, but most of the time we would be able to find comon time to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ankit the owner is really a guy that has great experience and that understand the projects. He put me in confidence from day 1

We hired Mobile and Web Solutions to develop a mobile application that included reporting features and a dashboard. It was primarily iOS app and Android development.

Our goal was to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) to launch our software-as-a-service business.

We selected them from a process of multiple meetings on Freelancer & LinkedIn, then through interviews via Skype.

Describe the project in detail.

The overall scope was quite large and required multiple revisions. The company was very willing to work with us to get the changes completed. We developed on both the iOS and Android platforms, so there was quite a bit of usability testing conducted.

I worked directly with one account manager, but there were multiple team members working on the project over time.

We have developed our MVP, and will be launching it in the App Store in the next 30 days.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very effective. We simply used Skype for all chat and correspondence. We also used email when required.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed by their attention to detail versus other app developers I have used. Their commitment to the client and friendliness were very much appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They can improve on more continuous communication, but overall, we were extremely pleased.
