“They go the extra mile for us, and they’re more flexible than other companies.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of a consulting services firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with #mkt?
One of my clients asked me to help them with marketing activities, so I partnered with #mkt to provide them with those services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
My client’s firm already existed, but they had only been doing business in Southeast Asia, and they wanted to launch in the UK. Thus, in the first quarter of our collaboration, #mkt helped us a lot by giving us local market insights and conducting research for us.
We also provided them with the knowledge we had from our past experience in Southeast Asia, explaining what had worked for us in that market and what hadn’t. Then, they gave us their opinions and became familiar with our products.
Since then, #mkt has been involved in all of my client's marketing activities. They focus on social media marketing for Facebook and Instagram, creating several campaigns that are now active. Additionally, they manage a PPC campaign on Google Ads. Over the past six months, we’ve also been implementing what we’ve learned from the market research.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with three people from #mkt, but we mostly interact with two of them.
How did you come to work with #mkt?
I found #mkt by searching online. I got pitches from five companies in total, but we decided to go with #mkt.
How much have you invested in them?
The cost per month varies; some months, we use #mkt more, and some months less. On average, we spend about £1,200 (approximately $1,500 USD) per month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around August 2021, and our engagement is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
#mkt’s team is really good at paying attention to metrics and making changes accordingly. So far, 50% of our total marketing revenue has come from Google Ads. Our other metrics are above the industry average, so we’re very pleased with that.
How did #mkt perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of deadline management, #mkt is perfect — they deliver what they promise within the set timelines. Their team is very collaborative and knows us really well. They provide us with a monthly report to show us how many people have installed our client’s app, how much is being spent on each channel, and what is our conversion rate. From those numbers, we can learn where we can allocate the money. Our communication has also been great. We communicate through email, texts, or quick calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
#mkt is very dedicated. We get the feeling that they go the extra mile for us, and they’re more flexible than other companies.
Are there any areas they could improve?
#mkt is growing, and although we’re also growing by their side, they hadn’t had a client like us before. Thus, I can advise them not to come to a conclusion before digging into the issue. Additionally, it would be good if they were bolder in coming up with new ideas, but they will get there with the experience.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be precise when explaining your KPI and goals. #mkt is good at catering the campaigns towards your KPIs and goals, so you need to be clear on those from day one.

Please describe your company and your position there.
The owner of COTIF is French, and does not speak English, so he hired me to supervise the design and development of the website and to liaise with #mkt, as I speak English, French and Spanish and have previous experience in similar roles.
For what projects/services did your company hire #mkt, and what were your goals?
We hired #mkt to advice us on the best web procedures and afterwards design and develop a website for our U17 International Football Tournament. Our goals were to create a modern and responsive website that would be easy for the Tournament participants to interact and navigate with.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
#mkt was referred to us for their efficiency, professionalism and advice. On the first meeting, we did indeed verify several of these values which added to the price point made our decision easier.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had some meetings to discuss the needs of the company and some ideas we already had in mind. #mkt sent us a proposal with their advice and ideas for the website, the pages and content ideas. Once we agreed, #mkt started working on the website design using Adobe XD.
There were regular meetings to check the progress and make amendments. Once a page was complete, we would start working on the content for that page, alongside the design of the other pages.
Some of the key features requested include multi-language site, Advanced Map with multiple pin locations and Timeline for previous Tournament winners. At last, the website was developed in Wordpress and launched one month after.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 2 team members of #mkt, one of the directors and the junior graphic designer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
This new website was a total renewal for the tournament. With the 4 differents languages, and the amazing design, we were able to attract more countries and football clubs to participate to our next edition. We even had to refuse some clubs!
Everybody keeps sending us comments on how amazing the new website is and how practical it is with all the informations needed all in one place. #mkt's support and advice have played such an important role in the growth of our Tournament, where we have seen so far a considerable increase in the number of tickets sold when comparing with the same time of the previous editions.
Last but not least, they also helped us save money by optimising our website hosting plans.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
#mkt has given shared access to a Monday.com dashboards with phases and deadlines. To add to this, all content was input on a Google Doc file where we could add comments and changes in real time without the need of sending emails back and forth.
There were some basic communication over email and message, but the majority of meetings happened over Zoom.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
How friendly and willing to help #mkt's team was. They made themselves available several times at late hours of the day, even on weekends and helped us with some non-related branding and marketing material too.
The director being able to speak Portuguese has even helped us contact one of the teams to confirm their presence.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There was one or two minor content issues which were fixed as soon as flagged.
