They’re easy to work with; they provide us with offshore flexibility. Also, they’re in the EU, which is better than working with people who are 12 hours away.

Give precise requirements and expectations. The number one thing is to interview the resources, give them an assignment, and see the quality of their work because sometimes people don’t work out. Also, you must make sure the resource is settled in the country they say they are.

Implementation of a full CI/CD process from scratch using YAML: Created an entirely new continuous integration and delivery process from the ground up. This has accelerated application deployment and reduced the likelihood of errors in the development process. Now, each change is automatically tested and deployed into a staging environment, significantly improving the quality and reliability of our product.
Participation in the Disaster Recovery design and implementation: Actively participated in designing and implementing disaster recovery processes to minimize downtime and data loss in case of emergencies. This involved developing and testing recovery scenarios, as well as ensuring automatic backup creating and backups management.
Implementation of monitoring using the New Relic platform: Introduced application performance monitoring using NewRelic, allowing us to monitor the performance and stability of our applications in real-time. This enabled us to quickly detect issues and respond to them, ensuring high availability and service quality for our services.
Automation of the release process: Optimized the process of releasing new versions of the product, including improving version control systems, automating deployment and change rollout, and managing dependencies between components. This resulted in more stable and predictable releases, enhancing the end-user experience and reducing the time to introduce new features.
Cound infrastructure costs reduction: We were able to reduce 30% of costs for AWS service. At the first stage we revised cloud architecture and significantly improved monitoring to get better understanding over system health. This allowed us to find over-utilized instances and reduce the size and numbers. Some self-hosted services were replaced by managed services.
Servers security improvements: Did large scope of work to eliminate risks of using unsupported linux instances (where end of live has already happened) by upgrading them to the latest version using automation. The count of the entire fleet of instances goes into hundreds.

As a result of cooperation, we achieved measurable outcomes, cloud infrastructure cost reduced, increased deployment speed (timing), reduced number of production issues faced by end users, improved overall end user satisfaction. Optimized DevOps framework made our product more reliable, faster, and ready to scale.

I can’t think of anything. The only challenges have stemmed from the time zone difference, but that’s to be expected when working with an offshore firm.

MITRIX then came with a couple of candidates for the job. We chose a candidate who then started coding the frontend of our app.
Their developer manages a number of smaller and larger tasks involving our Angular-based app. It’s a single-page app built with JavaScript. His work involves maintenance and the creation of new features. He still supports us on a daily basis, fixing bugs and building features.
MITRIX also provided a UX expert who worked with us to make improvements to our platform’s layout, colors, and interactions. We specified our requirements, needing someone to point out our challenges who could also understand how a standard UI/UX may not fit our app. After giving him a brief, he created roadmaps and used Figma to show us how the platform could look. He also told us the challenges of the user journey inside the app. In addition, he collected assets such as fonts and headings. We then implemented a few of the ideas.
What is the team composition?
When specifying the job, we worked with the CEO and founder. We discussed the technical requirements of the contract. I chat with him twice a year about his peoples’ performances. I also talk with his assistant about the finances.

I previously met the CEO. When we needed resources, I wanted more options for vendors and gave MITRIX an opportunity to bid on the work. They provided good candidates, so we’ve been working with them ever since.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
MITRIX has managed to find people who match our requirements even for ad hoc work on an hourly basis. Their candidates were also available reasonably fast.
Regarding effort and turnaround times, MITRIX provides quality developers. They’re already knowledgeable, which cuts down the time necessary to explain how the platform should work. Their team is experienced and understands the app.
How did MITRIX Technology perform from a project management standpoint?
We run everything through ZooTrack. For planning, we use an agile board. All communication goes through Microsoft Teams. Their team meets deadlines. They’ll also work longer hours or on the weekends to ensure we prioritize important tasks. They’re nice people too.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They find quality people in a short period of time to help us. MITRIX offers consistent candidates who stick around.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t point to any areas for improvement.

I’m the CEO of a company that provides software that manages the equipment for health care facilities across the country.

What challenge were you trying to address with MITRIX Technology?
We sought a company that could help us develop our software at a faster rate and at a scalable cost.

What was the scope of their involvement?
MITRIX mostly provides backend software development. However, they’ve recently done frontend software development for us too.
Basically, our software’s the complete picture. A patient or caregiver enters the system, reviews equipment, and orders an item. That order’s dispatched to the equipment’s provider. That’s then invoiced and billed through our software. MITRIX helped create the software for that complete workflow.
What is the team composition?
We work with six developers, including three lead developers and two frontend developers from MITRIX. We also work with their CEO and a billing person.
How did you come to work with MITRIX Technology?
Our CTO previously worked with Dmitry (CEO & Founder). We initially worked with their CEO as a consultant who then formed MITRIX. We then moved over to the company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent close to $500,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Dmitry in April 2015. With MITRIX, we started our ongoing engagement in June 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve never had a budget issue with them. MITRIX delivers projects to us on time. We haven’t had any issues with their response time, costs, or efficiency. Overall, their service exceeds our expectations.
The quality of their software’s good too. We’ve worked with multiple software firms and have our own developers here, so we’ve measured against them. From a cost perspective, it’s less money to engage MITRIX. They deliver similar, if not better, results, so it’s been a no-brainer for us.
How did MITRIX Technology perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management and coordination are done by us. We’re using Microsoft Azure, Asana, and Jira. They also communicate via GitHub. Their team’s flexible and understands our needs for communicating in different ways. MITRIX focuses on the development efforts.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They fit our culture, which enables us to work internationally. MITRIX operates like a fast-paced local firm. We also try to ensure that our working hours line up. For the most part, they’re great about hours. Their team has been great about projects that required them to work on our time. That hasn’t been an ongoing issue.
Are there any areas they could improve?
MITRIX could try to figure out better ways to work at the same time as the business supporting the development. It’s not always possible but it would be easier to work with them more if they made that a more consistent piece of their services. That would definitely help them expand their services.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Weave them into your operation as much as possible. There are cost savings when you’re engaging an offshore vendor. However, make sure you’re supporting them with either project management or development resources. As they continue to grow, you won’t need to keep any more resources to support them. Rather, they should be able to support that team.

The analysis software will tell the patient which task(s) he has to do, e.g. measure the blood pressure. This information is sent to the app on the patient device. The patient will connect the blood pressure device by bluetooth to his personal device. After measurement, the data is sent back to the analysis application
