Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder and CEO of a marketing technology company that offers an integrated suite of products including analytics, tag management, content personalization, and data activation tools tailored to the individual needs of enterprise clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Mitosis Consulting?
We hired Mitosis Consulting to help us enter and grow in the U.S. market while improving our global marketing and sales strategy.
What were your goals for this project?
The primary goal was to grow our monthly recurring revenue (MRR), with a focus on the U.S. market. Additionally, we were looking to improve our sales process, our global pricing and packaging strategy, and our overall product marketing strategy.
How did you select this vendor?
They reached out to us through an online cofounders community. After several introductory conversations, we decided to hire them.
Describe the project in detail.
They worked with us over a three-year period to develop and optimize our sales process, as well as our global product marketing strategy. Their team also managed customer acquisition in the Americas, which included developing and closing new leads and overseeing client renewals.
What was the team composition?
They worked as an extension of our in-house marketing and sales team. Specialists were brought into our project as needed, depending on the challenges we were facing at various stages.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They helped shape our global sales and marketing strategy and enter the U.S. market. Their work contributed to MRR growth of 305% in 2015 and 77% in 2016, which helped us secure Series A funding in 2017.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They worked with our team very effectively. We communicated via email and met with their team regularly using video conferencing and messaging tools, and tracked progress using project management software. They also visited our headquarters a couple of times per year.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The team is very responsive and hardworking. They’re eager to test new ideas and improve existing processes as efficiently as possible.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CFO of a company that builds proprietary software for advertising and marketing technology vendors, mainly in the U.S. and Europe.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mitosis Consulting?
We didn’t have much presence in the U.S., so we needed a partner to build our marketing and sales strategies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They did an audit of all the marketing materials we had and, based on that, carved out a strategy for the U.S. Once our CEO approved, they prepared materials that would better speak to our prospective U.S. costumers. They created items such as sales pitches, one-page documents a salesperson would leave behind after meetings, and transcripts for how to behave on a sales call with the U.S.
What is the team composition?
We worked with their founder.
How did you come to work with Mitosis Consulting?
We’d worked with them on a previous project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $250,000—$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May 2014–November 2017. Our company in Poland got too large for them to effectively manage remotely from the US.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They not only created our strategy, but they also helped grow the business in the U.S. We could attribute the increase of our 2015–2016 annual billings in the U.S. in large part to them.
How did Mitosis Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?
I was highly satisfied with their project management. We mainly communicated via email, Slack, and video calls that we held weekly or biweekly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They can build a lot from scratch. They created a lot of meaningful material and their efforts greatly contributed to the growth of our company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They're best suited for small businesses and probably not an ideal fit for large enterprises
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
If you're a European company with around 2 million in revenue and would like to enter and grow in the US market, Mitosis Consulting is the firm for you.
