I am an independent consultant and serve as a liaison between a clean air technology manufacturer and Mindstorm Communications.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mindstorm Communications?

When I started as the liaison, the company I was working for was very small and needed a complete set of marketing materials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mindstorm Communications helps us with brand strategy — they initially helped with rebranding. Their team now assists with strategic, basic, and task-focused marketing initiatives. They also designed the look and feel of all of the marketing assets, including user manuals, video content, graphics, and print collateral. 

We have utilized other areas of Mindstorm Communications expertise, including email content creation, brand strategy, and packaging. They’ve also completed a few case studies for us. 

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Jeff (President & COO) and he delegates work to a larger team. 

How did you come to work with Mindstorm Communications?

When I began consulting with the clean air technology company they already had a relationship with Mindstorm Communications. I’ve been fostering the relationship since I came on board two years ago. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began around September 2017 and the partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

ROI is a tricky thing to actually quantify as a marketer, so I don’t have exact metrics, but I like the work they’ve done. They’re good partners. 

How did Mindstorm Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

I communicate with Jeff frequently through daily emails and have a weekly recurring meeting. In our weekly meetings, Jeff breaks down the status of every project: what is in the queue, deadlines, deliverables, timelines, and team makeup. Mindstorm Communications always hits their timeline. 

If something urgent comes up, Jeff is very good at re-prioritizing work to ensure that our target deadlines are still met. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mindstorm Communications are great partners and they are very hungry to help. They’re a collaborative group of go-getters who are focused on solutions and teamwork. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re great partners. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

This isn’t specific to working with Mindstorm Communications, but it’s important for clients to lay out the scope of a project so there is a mutual understanding of the project ahead of time.
