Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Rob Abasolo, the founder of Robuilt LLC. Robuilt is a content hub across multiple social platforms that teaches people how to start investing in real estate.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mid House, and what were your goals?

Robuilt focuses mostly on long-form content, with Youtube being the central pillar of distribution. We wanted to increase our presence across short-form channels including Instagram Reels, Tik Tok and Youtube Shorts. We also wanted to increase frequency of posts to 2-3x daily.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Vendors often reach out about editing short-form content for my brand. Mid House reached out and showcased work with past/current clients that I found impressive compared to some of the alternative vendors that reached out.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We worked out a plan to create videos that spanned from 30-60 seconds. Mid House pushed me to create content around popular trends, as well as original content that resonated well within my specific real estate niche of Airbnb investing. Every week, I would meet with the team and we would dedicate 2 hours to shooting new content.

I would send them the files and they would edit and caption every video. Upon completion of that process, they would upload the content to a CRM for final approval from me. Once I approved the content, they would post on my various social channels.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Sebastian and the process was incredibly collaborative from start to finish. He was really great about wrangling me and getting me to fulfill my duties, as I have an incredibly busy schedule.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

During our time together, we gained tens of thousands of followers and hundreds of thousands of views.

There was never a time in which they delivered projects late to me. In fact, I was always surprised with how fast they were. I could text them at any moment and get a response within seconds.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was always very impressed with how in tune they were with pop culture and trends. I've always considered myself a pretty savvy individual, and even I couldn't keep up with how "with it" they were.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I'm not sure what they could improve. They were always very fast and on top of the entire process. I have literally zero feedback for them, as they were super from start to finish.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing partner and head of video at PaperBoy Media Group, a full-service media agency that mainly handles video production.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Mid House?

Our challenge was staying active on social media while utilizing great content. We travel a lot, so we had a bunch of footage to work with.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided behind-the-scenes footage from our shoots, and Mid House edited it. Since we’re both media agencies, it was different from their typical client. We devised a plan together and collaborated on getting it done. They created 12–15 videos under one minute in length for our Instagram and TikTok accounts each month, making a total of 40–50 videos.

What is the team composition?

In the beginning, we had an editor, but in the end, Devon (COO & Creative Director) took over our account and became our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Mid House?

I already knew one of the owners, and he introduced me to his company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–October 2022. Our partnership is currently paused,  and we’ll be picking back up in the new year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When we were active with them, our follower count went up. They created videos for our Instagram and TikTok accounts, and one of them had 30,000 views.

The standard feedback we’ve been getting is that the videos are pretty cool and interesting. People like seeing what we’re up to, and a lot of the videos show the behind-the-scenes of our productions or the places we travel.

How did Mid House perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicated via email and our biweekly calls. For project management, they used tools like monday.com; they definitely kept us all up to speed. Budget-wise, they adapted to our needs, and we really worked together, so that was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength was getting the work done quickly, they really stayed on top of it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I did a lot of the backend research. My Instagram feed is tailored to the things that our company is interested in, so I'm seeing a lot of inspiration and sending them what we'd like to be doing. Although it would be awesome if they were able to do that for us, I understand it's hard.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise knowing what you want when you go in so that you get the product that you're looking for as quickly as possible. Having some inspiration for what you want your product to look like when you go into a call with them is important.

I’m the owner and lead designer of Burju Shoes. We make dance and fashion heels made for everyone from the pro dancer to the everyday fashionista.

To create content for Tik Tok and Instagram Reels. We wanted to use diverse models to create trending videos for our social media strategy.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I’ve worked on a few small projects with Sebastian and loved his style, professionalism and ease of communication.

This is the second time we have worked in this capacity. We meet to go over the trends we want to target. I take care of picking the styles for the shoot and the team at Midhouse takes care of everything else. They find the models, locations, trending audios to be used, planning the shoot, editing the video and even coming up with the text. Really great A to Z solution and compliments our other informational and educational content.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I usually work with Sebastian directly. We communicate efficiently and he relays everything to the midhouse team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The content created by Midhouse is always on brand and shows our fun and authentic nature. We have had great results from the content. Some have gone fairly viral and has helped us increase our followers and brand awareness.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. Mostly between myself and Sebastian. Emails and texts are exchanged and everything gets done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are one of the few I have found that focus on vertical form content specific for tik tok and instagram. I love that they know and understand both my dance and fashion market and can create content that is so on brand and on trend.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that I can think of at the moment as I’m really happy with the arrangement.

We selected Mid House because they promised to be very hands-on throughout the whole experience and that's what we were after.
