Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m an account manager at Equity Bank Limited. We’re a Kenyan financial services provider that operates in many African countries.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire MicroConvergent Marketing?

We were unhappy with our marketing and advertising provider, and hired MicroConvergent Marketing to help us meet some new business requirements that we had established. We needed a partner to guide us in our efforts to find and attract potential customers.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a website that would be easy to manage and update over time. We felt that this would push us towards meeting our goal of doubling the number of clients we serve.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We formed an internal team to research both local and international firms that could fulfill our marketing and advertising requirements. They contacted every potential vendor, extracting details about their services and ability to meet our needs. This process resulted in a final list of three vendors, and, after further examination of the three, we chose MicroConvergent Marketing as our partner.

After selecting them, we held several meetings with the MicroConvergent Marketing team to discuss our expectations. They worked closely with us to understand our current branding and strategy while building our new website. They also offered us direction regarding social media marketing and campaigns.

The team included a marketing specialist and several external advisors.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within four months, we saw a significant increase in our number of clients, and our marketing team was very pleased with the new website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated regularly with their marketing specialist who guided us through all phases of the project. We reached out via phone, email, and video conference, and supplemented this with the occasional in-person meeting.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They made us feel that our teams shared a common goal. They were able to understand which tactics would work best for our brand, and helped us to implement them. They were also very experienced in using social media, which added an entirely new dimension to our efforts.

Are there any areas for improvement?

All of their work has been exceptional, and I can’t imagine having a better partner. My only suggestion is to be more upfront about project expenses. During the partnership, we incurred some additional unforeseen costs, though they never exceeded the value we got from their services.
