Seascape Capital is a small, 1- person company that buys and brokers real estate notes across the U.S. I am the president and founder of the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire MetaLOGIC Design, and what were your goals?
I had previously used a couple of different PPC companies, but had more negative than positive experiences. My goal with MetaLOGIC was to increase clicks and conversions while staying within a specified budget.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
When selecting a PPC company, I used Clutch to select a small number of potential vendors. My criteria included their past successes, costs, and my subjective opinion of how well they would mesh with my style.

As my industry is not well understood by many, we first discussed the nature of my industry and company. MetaLOGIC took the time to understand the situation, asked lots of questions, and agreed on the goals of gathering more clicks and conversions.

I worked with Mike C., the manager of the company.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The PPC campaigns originally started with two states but has since expanded to four states, as the efficiencies obtained by Meta allowed us to do while staying within budget. They have dramatically increased our level of conversions while keeping costs down, and I am confident that they will get even better over time.

Originally, we met via Zoom every week and had a lot of emails exchanges. We now meet virtually every two weeks, with less frequent emails. Meta has always been responsive to my emails and inquiries.

I’m the owner and manager of a commercial pressure washing business.
What challenge were you trying to address with MetaLOGIC Design?
They helped us with Google Ads services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We began by talking about different goals that we wanted to achieve and then narrowed them down the options. For a while, I was doing all residential pressure washing along with commercial jobs. From the beginning, he defined Google Ads for me, walked me through the process of ranking and PPC, as well as the type of budget that would work for me. He also contrasted it with the Facebook advertising I’d done in the past. He also made sure I knew how to measure and track each of the key metrics along the way.
I didn’t mind putting money into Google Ads, but I wanted to know what the return would look like and how often we would be working on this. They also explained the organic side of digital marketing, as well as what Google was looking for. From there, we went into a discovery phase to identify what keywords I wanted to rank for.
They were also responsible for creating the content of the ads and modifying my website. I was working with another web designer, but MetaLOGIC took on some of the basics recently and created a few pages. Specifically, they built landing pages for links.
What is the team composition?
I only interacted with Mike (President). He had a team of people that helped with the web design, but I’m not sure if anyone collaborated on the ads.

Our offices were in the same building, and we began talking. We started small, spending just a few hundred dollars and the relationship has grown.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We review a couple of different metrics ever time we meet. When my office manager fields calls, we do data collection to find out where these callers find us. We’re constantly monitoring our closing rates and optimizing the quotes that don’t convert to find out what we could do better.
How did MetaLOGIC Design perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very reachable and accommodating, as well as always on time. I can tell that they’re busy, but they’re very responsive, and I consider myself to be very responsive as well.
I use Monday.com and Trello personally, but we mostly communicate over email. Once a month we’ll have either a Zoom or in-person meeting as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their attention to detail surely stands out. I feel like Mike is a true team player that understands my business. He also looks at my competitors. In my mind, it feels like I hit the jackpot.
I‘ve worked with a lot of marketing and SEO agencies, and they’ve done a number of basic things across the board, but it’s always felt like I’m working with a separate representative, rather than a partner.
MetaLOGIC shows me how to make my campaigns better and highlights changes I need to make to get warm PPC leads. It’s hard to get warm leads right out the gate, but things tightened up quickly with MetaLOGIC and we didn’t lose money for long. This was very valuable.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m very happy with them, as they’re very easy to talk to — and I’m not afraid of asking questions, either. I never feel like they blow me off, which I value immensely, as I’ve been learning a lot about PPC over the past two years. They always help me understand what I’m looking at and what I’m paying for.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask questions and reach out to see if they’ll be a good fit for them. Every industry is difference, but I feel like they have a great grasp on diving in and asking the right questions to familiarize themselves in the ad space of whatever field they’re in. They also have the proper technologies in place. Don’t be afraid of putting your money in with them.

I'm the owner of Rickey Heroman's Florist & Gifts. We do flower arrangements, daily flower deliveries, weddings, and big functions. We also have an extensive giftware selection, about a hundred different lines of bridal registry, and every kind of crystal from Waterford to China to Vietri to Lenox.
What challenge were you trying to address with MetaLOGIC Design?
It's very hard to compete with larger firms for a small, locally-owned flower shop. I've worked with five different individuals on our social media presence and SEO services before.
I was not happy with the work they provided. The last person I worked with was unable to produce results and our numbers were going down. We were looking for someone who could help us optimize our online presence as well as manage our social media accounts.

Mike has helped me a lot because he has given me a larger capacity for my online presence and getting people to my shop. From that perspective, it really helped me tremendously. The campaigns they ran brought a lot of people in from a market that I previously had access to only a small percentage of.
My company is still the same as before Mike arrived, but the orders that I received have increased by 50% and are often doubled. My phone rings much more now. We have slowed down in March–April, but I have brought all my employees back now and our daily work has increased compared to last year.
Our website is ranking higher now, usually appearing in the first three search results, but mostly we’re in the top two. Before Mike took over, we were always at the bottom of the page or sometimes even the next page.
How did MetaLOGIC Design perform from a project management standpoint?
We have meetings every first week of the month and before the meeting, Mike sends me a report for the prior month to review and plan ahead for the next month. They’re transparent with what they do and flexible with how they manage their work. They will adjust the keywords they see fit for the different seasons.

I’m impressed with his knowledge. He just knows how everything works. He's very upfront, and he's fantastic at explaining things in layman’s terms because I'm not a tech expert.
He might clarify when I see something that works or doesn't that could make a difference to my company. He's good at trying out new strategies. He wants to do what's best for my company, rather than what's more interesting for him with what he's trying to produce.

I was shifting my business model to a more online, customer direct one. I was tired of the rat race of how business is generated in the mortgage industry.

MetaLOGIC Design provides SEO and PPC work for me, mainly through Google Ads.
How did you come to work with MetaLOGIC Design?
Mike (President) was referred to me by a friend who knew me well and knew what I was trying to accomplish. He told me Mike did really amazing work with SEO and Google PPC, and that he was actually a client of mine.
Mike and I went to lunch, and he told me about how he works campaigns. I was shifting my business model more to online anyway, so I went ahead with MetaLOGIC Design.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost so far is around $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with MetaLOGIC Design in March 2019, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We come up in the first spot when googling for mortgage companies in Lafayette, and it’s been like that for years. MetaLOGIC Design came up with different strategies that got us to quadruple our traffic within three months or maybe sooner. We normally generated 30–40 leads per month, and we got up to 150–160 because of Mike’s work.
I was running it as a test at first because I wanted to scale my business and change the model. I wanted the ability to take this model, drop it into another market, and be closing loans within 30 days. Quite frankly, we’re there.
We were getting so many leads that I literally had to dial it back because I couldn’t handle everything that was coming in. I’m probably going to go back to where we were by November 2020, and I’m very curious to see what happens.
MetaLOGIC Design has increased my revenue. We’re going directly to the clients, and it’s been really good. For the amount of return, the lead cost is invaluable. The leads don’t cost that much, and, as long as we’re able to convert those leads — which we are — it’s great. In 2019, 58% of my business was lead-generated. So far, we’re at about 50% for 2020.
Any professional in my industry will say that they’re 99.9% referral-based. Basically, they don’t get leads. They have to generate their own business and referrals and don’t go straight to the public. They basically get clients through their sphere of influence and agents. With us, since we’re going directly to the client, 50% of new business is generated online, which is huge by comparison.
I told him I wanted a 20% conversion rate, and we’re hitting it. One out of five people clicking on our ad converts to a lead. I cleaned up the website based on Mike’s suggestions, and the bounce rate is drastically reduced now.
How did MetaLOGIC Design perform from a project management standpoint?
Mike is always responsive, and he’s a great communicator. He explains things and is on top of it. He tells me what needs to be done, and it’s done. It’s all measured. I get reports at the end of the month on what impression share, CPC and CPL, and conversion percentage are.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s Mike’s level of expertise and knowledge. He said that this was going to happen, and it happened. I’ve had some other SEO and PPC vendors do things for me and haven’t seen anyone better than Mike. It didn’t turn out even close to what he was able to do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not at this point. MetaLOGIC Design has gotten me results.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I’d tell them to listen to what Mike has to say and apply it. That’s what I did. I had a bit of SEO and PPC knowledge going in, but I took his advice, especially on cleaning up the website.

What challenge were you trying to address with MetaLOGIC Design?
We had a website, but we needed a new one that looked good and had a design that matched our vibe and portrayed our vision. The goal was to generate leads, as well as to receive SEO and management.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They took us from the concept to a website, building all of our site pages and coming up with the verbiage. They went through all of the pictures we had—we also purchased some from the internet but they did a great job of finding us the right ones. Throughout the build, they really did a good job of getting to know us and understanding the services we provide. They tailored the site pretty closely, almost spot on to what we provided and were looking for.
As far as SEO management, they work with us week to week in managing all of our AdWords and managing the leads we’re going for. Mike (Owner, MetaLOGIC Design) does a really good job of following up on what leads turn into what and how much in dollar amounts so that he can continue to dig deeper into the markets we’re looking to get into. Mike is extremely good at sticking to the task and working with all of the SEO and AdWords management. They are really good with the search engines.
