Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director and public relations of Barton Health.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mering?
They developed a brand campaign for our organization, as well as helped us develop a sub-brand and associated marketing strategy when we opened our orthopedic center of excellence.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mering worked hard to understand our business and audience. They offer research opportunities through focus groups, as well as quantitative research to understand the perception and need in the marketplace. They then helped develop a brand from both a rational and emotional standpoint based on our offerings.
What is the team composition?
I worked with an account team, research team, and creative team.
How did you come to work with Mering?
I had experience with Mering at a previous company and knew they were exceptional when it came to brand development and differentiation.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $250,000–$500,000 on both projects combined.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together twice: from March until September 2015 and then from February 2017 until June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We performed awareness studies within the community, as well as qualitative focus groups and we found that the campaign developed by Mering contributed to a positive brand perception in the marketplace.
How did Mering perform from a project management standpoint?
They communicated well and met deadlines.

They are very strong in brand strategy and understanding the business and target audience. They made sure we developed a message that differentiated us and resonated with our target audience.

Develop your business goals and share them with Mering. Share as much information as you can about your customer and target audience.
