For what projects/services did your company hire Melonleaf Consulting?
We hired Melonleaf to help us completely automate our flow in Salesforce. Everything from how our lead is ported into the system and what happens to that lead after it is entered. As well as how key partners in the process are updated as the financing moves forward. Custom components were also designed in addition to custom PDF generation through the system.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I interviews 5 different companies based on their self-reported credentials. The final decision to move foward with Melonleaf was based on the fact that they were 1) familiar in my space and 2) it was apparent that they had a higher level understanding of how to execute what we were looking for.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We wanted to automate the Salesforce CRM for frictionless Communication with our user. Phase 1 was setting up all the automated emails to Account and opportunity contact role. Automated Emails functionality also included sending Custom PDF in Email as attachment, created dynamically. Melonleaf also automated custom Twilio bulk and triggered messaging for our clients. Melonleaf helped us building completely customised Email parsers.

We worked with an architect, developer and tester.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Everything we intended to have designed and created was executed perfectly. In fact, not only did we get the end result we hoped for, but Melonleaf, due to their high level of expertise, was also able to make several suggestions that we did not even think of to improve our process. Another indicator of how familiar they are in the space.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Unbelievably seamless. High level of communication and responsiveness.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The ability to execute at a very high level. The constant request for a clear understanding so they could create accurately. Additionally, their ability to answer questions in a comprehensive manner at every stage was impressive. Could not say enough great things about them!

The project was to customize and develop Salesforce Community Cloud to meet the needs of our physician partners. We had some Complex Scenarios to allow physicians to prescribe in the community portal and manage their prescriptions.

We found Melonleaf on Upwork and with a recommendation from one of our pharmacies.

We have both physicians and patients that log into Community Cloud to access the menMD custom portal. We asked Melonleaf to build out the physician access to allow prescriptions to be sent, the ability to manage prescriptions for their patients, and to approve pending refill requests. Melonleaf Consulting did everything from project planning to development, and all the UI/UX design of the portal.

We worked directly with Lalit (CEO , Melonleaf) and a Senior Developer as main point of contact with Melonleaf consulting.

Our physician partners can now sign into their portal and send us prescriptions. This is not only more convenient for the physician, but has also made us more efficient by speeding up our turnaround time to get orders out to the patient members.

Lalit is always available - No matter what time of day. He also helped us move the project forward by regularly checking in to ensure we were meeting the schedule.

Key success metrics included time saved in on boarding and customer fulfillment as well as increase in overall order volume due to efficiencies gained. My company consulted with client in partnership with Melonleaf to advise on improved subscription model and user flow. We achieved these metrics within the first month due to ongoing improvements that were rolled out during the build.

We used to have regular meetings Melonleaf and they are really flexible to hop the call any time, they communicate well via email and on Zoom.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a real estate company that visits all the shopping centers in South Florida and looks to invest in them.
Our drivers go to the shopping centers, collect the data, and enter it into Salesforce for us. They do this twice a year; they also make calls and send emails to leasing agents and brokers to get updated rents on the properties. We update the database as well based on received emails, news stories, calls, and other sources.
What challenge were you trying to address with Melonleaf Consulting?
I reached out to them to help me with Salesforce implementation. I needed things to be done in Salesforce that I, as a non-developer, just couldn’t do.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Melonleaf first helped us with a Salesforce-coded program that allowed us to manage install packages.
Along the way, they have done other assignments and products that have helped us increase functionality on Salesforce. For example, instead of manually sending email requests one by one to each leasing agent and broker, the team has created an automated Salesforce program that sends all these emails with the click of a button.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact has been Lalit (Founder & CEO). I’m not sure how many team members work on the projects behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Melonleaf Consulting?
I posted a job request on Upwork for someone to help me with an installed package that I needed to serve multiple users, which was greater than the number of licenses I had for that. I talked to 4–5 agencies that said it couldn’t be done and wouldn’t work.
Melonleaf was the only agency that said they could do it. I went with them and was very pleased with the deliverable. From that point on, I’ve never submitted a public job offer again; whenever I need something done, I just go with Melonleaf.
How much have you invested with them?
Our business has invested less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership started in July 2020, and we are currently working on new projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Like the email example I mentioned, Melonleaf’s solutions have helped us save a lot of time on work we did manually because we didn’t know how to automate it within Salesforce.
How did Melonleaf perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate primarily through the messaging chat on Upwork and send emails when needed.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Since the first job posting about the install package, they have had a can-do attitude and know ideas on how to solve things. They had never done something like that, but they found a solution to it because of their experience, track record, and time spent on Salesforce. The others that I interviewed didn’t come up with a solution because of maybe a lack of creativity or understanding on their part.
From start to finish, Melonleaf Consulting has been very responsive to understand my business needs and excellent to work with. It’s been a real pleasure and they’ve been able to help me with every single job. Their ability to deliver sets them apart. Once they prove themselves, there’s no need to go with anyone else.

Any advice for potential customers?
My advice to them is to explain clearly the challenge or situation to the team. Provide them with as much information as you can; they will take it from there and do a very good job. Nonetheless, if you don’t provide enough information, the team will ask questions to find out more about the project so they can propose a better solution to the problem.

Our Salesforce Org. was over 5 years old and needed to be migrated over from Classic to Lightning. This included several Visualforce Pages that needed to be converted to Lightning. Additionally, we had a rather complex business flow that needed to be automated using Lightning customization and auto-triggered processes.

We worked with 1 Architect and 1 Developer at Melonleaf.

Our Salesforce Org was migrated to Lightning successfully and the transition was extremely smooth for our entire team. The automations that Melonleaf designed and implemented have eased our sales team efforts considerably, and brought much needed efficiency to our System.

Communication was top notch, and we typically met every other day via video conference. In addition to the strong communication skills, the Architect always cleared the estimate of deliveries.
