Muzooka.com is a central dashboard for artists and their teams to manage their online assets across multiple places on the internet. I’m the CEO and founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Mediumrare?

Initially to build an iPhone application which also led to Android development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired Mediumrare for their core competency of product and user interface design. At the time, they were working with an outside group that was facilitating the actual development. It started as iPhone and Android apps, which later iterated into solving different problems inside the same industry. Today, we don’t have a public-facing Android or iPhone app, and we’re just a web-based application with a robust API.

How did you come to work with Mediumrare?

Was searching for a local Calgary team.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in June 2012, up until February 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We had quite a few users. The reality is we found bigger and better pain points to solve, and that’s why those apps don’t exist anymore.

How did Mediumrare perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was very good, and up until recently, they worked exclusively with Muzooka, so we were sharing an office.

What did you find most impressive about Mediumrare?

As it relates to design around workflow and user interface, Bryan is very talented. He has a strong network of developers he can bring on at a moment’s notice who can fulfill the work of larger projects. I know he’s worked with Fortune 500 companies recently.
