Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO/Founder of Ren Energy. We help corporations, institutions, and government replace their dirty energy consumption with renewable energy.

For what projects/services did your company hire Medicine Show?

We were looking for a way to be efficient and targeted in reaching our clients. We have a very niche B2B market for which we needed to develop coherent strategies and voice. Even though the brands we work with can be big names, the specific part of these companies that deal with environmental initiatives tend to be small and hard to reach at Fortune 500 companies.

What were your goals for this project?

Create strong copy for a targeted B2B sales effort focused around LinkedIn and website content.

How did you select this vendor?

I had worked with Michael Foreman of Medicine Show previously at two previous companies. 

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Michael helped edit our website copy and sales materials and develop a cohesive voice for all subsequent content generation—white papers, blog posts, and a video. He also advised on web strategy and digital marketing.

What was the team composition?

Michael, plus an outsourced videographer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Outcomes include a much more robust and cohesive site that (in my biased opinion) is among the best in the renewable energy consulting industry.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Michael is an effective communicator, with post-meeting notes and snapshots and cover work done and next steps. Those were particularly helpful.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

No nonsense, direct communication, no coercion to do more or spend more if it doesn't help your business. Truly out-of-the-box creative strategy. Fantastic copywriter. Big thinker and can act as a high-level executive marketing head.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really. In-person meetings are preferred by Ren Energy, though video meetings are very common in today's business environment and did not slow down our work.

I am the director of marketing at a media company in Portland, which is headquartered in New York. Our company runs the largest news and information website and newspaper in the state. I oversee consumer and business-focused marketing initiatives.

We needed style guidelines developed for the in-house production of display advertisements.

The guidelines educated designers on the proper usage of assets, visual elements and messaging to streamline production and ensure alignment with the established brand identity.

Cross-channel ads promoting news features, recognizing staff reporters, social media teams, special sections and newsletters, as well as general awareness of digital marketing services for advertisers were a result of these guidelines.

Medicine Show led the project with collaboration with local creative shop.

Traffic has gone up 800% MoM.

In-person and remote meetings. They were a collaborative, strategic, and thoughtful team.

Delivered good asset and responded well to feedback for modifications.
