During the weekly meetings, adoptions, findings and changes could be discussed and planned to constantly improve the functionality of the applications to the final state. I basically felt like part of their team.

More than providing a unique self-development experience which the user tailors to his specific goals and objectives in life, machine learning plays a powerful role in driving personalisation. Artificial intelligence used in the application assesses the personality of a given user and suggests the fastest and most effective techniques to achieve the goal.

The optimized purchasing process has improved our customer relations and automated and simplified the work of our sellers. Geeknson customers now have the option of fully configuring the product (game tables) according to their preferences. They can choose wood color, tabletop, shape, table dimensions, and predefined accessories.

After making such a choice, the customer can see the final appearance of the configured product and familiarize himself with its description and functionality. Notably, the customer can purchase a product configured in this way without registering in the system, and it only takes a few clicks. Additionally, the Stripe payment method has been introduced, which helps shorten the order fulfillment time and, equally importantly, supports credit cards from all banks worldwide.

The previous solution used by us did not have a product configurator, and the customer had to contact the seller by email or phone to order, and he could not pay for the product immediately, which only extended the time of order fulfillment. The purchasing process has been improved in line with the expectations of our customers.

The project started in March 2019 and it took 7 months. We started working with the mDEVELOPERS team to optimize user stories prepared by my team. As soon as we accepted the flow we moved to high fidelity mockups. Then we asked for the first designs.

The design and proposal of animations extend our expectations. The second phase was the development. We received a detailed timeline and every week we got information from the Project Manager on the progress. They delivered on time and according to an order which we changed to extend functionality of our new portal.

It is esthetic, user friendly and has a design and animations that distinguish us from others. We had the challenge to find a Technology Partner specializing in Angular and IONIC frameworks. We wanted to extend our team of backend developers for front and mobile developers. We chose mDEVELOPERS because they were the ones that qualified an interview with our CTO and senior frontend developer.

What were your goals for this project?

At first, we wanted to extend our team for two senior Angular front end developers that could help us to provide a full package of services for one of our customers. Our client’s project was acquired. Our goals for the first three months were: to integrate it with acquirer systems, rebranding and allow users to migrate to the new rebranded app.

This scope expected massive changes in both, web app (powered by Angular) and mobile app (powered by Ionic). It needed changes in web app architecture to fit acquirer ecosystem requirements. Another big challenge was the implementation of a new third-party login provider (7paas). In the next stage of development, we focused on improving user experience and deeper integrations with services and products from the acquirer ecosystem.

One of the most significant goals here was integration with Salesforce. We have also redesigned user flow in the entire app (both web and mobile). During this time we had to face tech debt. On the front side, we were able to replace obsolete Angular 1 / IONIC 1 with their modern versions.

One of our clients wanted us to provide a full-service development in both programming languages Ruby on Rails and Angular. As a software house focused mainly on RoR stack we were searching for a software house with Angular experts on board. We needed two Angular senior developers to extend our team and be a part of it.

During the project, the customer’s goals were changing. We wanted the mDEVELOPERS team to adjust mobile and web applications for rebranding requirements. Then we needed to integrate both with a central authorization service provider and upgrade them. At last, we needed to rewrite them and upgrade to the newest version of Angular 9. Now we are extending our cooperation to React and React Native experts that could help us with frontend and mobile stuff.

The cooperation was great. We finished ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them as it’s a pleasure working with them. The application isn’t public yet, but we had some internal tests and the feedback is very positive.

We work in a scrum methodology. We had daily communication during the crucial part of the project. We communicated via phone and email. Deliverables were always on time. Project management was effective.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I run a company headquartered in Warsaw, we produce personalized packaging, provide online selling. I am responsible for the whole company.

For what projects/services did your company hire mDevelopers?

We wanted to refresh the brand as the branding itself was not much modern-day. What comes with it we wanted to create a whole new branding including logo design, brand book creation, business cards, gifts, and gadgets branding design. We also wanted to redesign the website in order to be consistent with the new design approach.

What were your goals for this project?

The design defines us as a company - that's the part of our identity, so the first goal was to create a full branding. We wanted the branding to reflect the character of a business, show the flexibility of our services and that the creation process of personalized packaging is actually fun. The second goal was to develop a company's website with a module where customers will be able to order personalized packagings online.

How did you select this vendor?

I've received a call from mDevelopers' Account Manager who has introduced me to the scale of their capabilities and as I was interested in services consisting of rebranding and web development I've accepted an offer and we began the cooperation.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We've scheduled an appointment with a team in Warsaw. We had a talk about my expectations and technical requirements. During the meeting, I decided to depute also the Social Media related work like preparing the branding, graphic elements for the photos and the whole communication strategy.

Two days after our meeting I've received the prototype of the logo that I've accepted, so the team continued the work. After the next day, I've received a full branding prototype and the mockup of the website. As I've accepted both, the team continued to work on website development and finalize the work on marketing strategy for SoMe.

Overall, I've received everything I wanted in ca. 4 days. Then we started to work on the marketing strategy and execution. We continued the cooperation around SoMe regarding communication, content creation and posting until the end of August.

What was the team composition?

The contractor entrusted us with a 6-person team, but we had the most contact with the project manager and UX / UI specialist.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I can surely admit that mDevelopers has helped us with stepping onto the market with professional branding, thus we started to be giving a reliable impression of a trustworthy brand. After the website launch, we've noticed an increasing interest among the clients. The creation and strategy of social media have effectively enhanced our appearance and presence on the market.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Every member of the team was responsible for different kinds of work, although they contributed together as well, so the project stayed consistent. We have been scheduling separate calls for the development and for marketing as for those services I had been given dedicated people. They had a proactive attitude and were very helpful, so they have advised me many times I wasn't sure about some features or concepts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by the creativity of those people. In combination with knowledge and experience, their concepts are limitless. When it comes to my amendments, I've only had some regarding choosing a different photo or changes in the text. It's a pity I could only pick only one of the designs, but overall I think that once I would change something or refresh the website I'm sure I'll be satisfied again.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The communication went great, the quality of the service and execution were excellent. I wouldn't change anything as I am satisfied with the services they provide.
