I’m the COO of a software company. We develop, consult on, and distribute Microsoft products. We also provide product support.

What challenge were you trying to address with MaxSoft?

We use them as subcontractors for client projects, mainly for the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, primarily Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, and Dynamics 365. We have expertise in this area, but we needed subcontractors to develop interfaces.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The complicated application connects with a web store, bank interfaces, customer wallets, and more. MaxSoft was in charge of the payment systems field. They helped us with payment solution integration, consultation, and development. They created payment interfaces and interactions between the systems. The customer has a web store, which contains tools for payment purposes. The store interacts with the ERP system. MaxSoft developed a platform to connect the web store with customers’ wallets, which can be recharged and reviewed. It’s a complex system. They used C# and .NET.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with a project manager. He organized his team.

How did you come to work with MaxSoft?

They are also based in Sofia, Bulgaria. There aren’t many companies in this market with this kind of expertise. MaxSoft was the right size for us and they were flexible.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with MaxSoft between January–June 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered what we needed and the client was satisfied.

How did MaxSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

We organized scrum meetings to discuss project plans and deadlines. Everything was discussed and planned with MaxSoft, our team, and the customer. We mainly used email for communication. We also used Microsoft Project, where we tracked tasks, end dates, and the overall performance of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are a professional company. They have 20 years of experience in IT solutions management, development, design, and consultation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was happy with MaxSoft’s performance.

What challenge were you trying to address with MaxSoft?

We wanted a nice-looking website where people could order honey and see information about us. We also needed an internet of things solution to track the honey produced by our beehives.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MaxSoft used their experience to create the website for us. We reviewed it and identified the items that needed to be changed, and they took care of those for us. I believe the site was built on WordPress. They also developed a tracking solution for the honey produced by our beehives.

What is the team composition?

I was in communication with their co-founder/project manager. He assigned the job to the developers on their end.

How did you come to work with MaxSoft?

I found them on a Bulgarian online directory. We contacted several local companies, but the price and time frame offered by MaxSoft were better.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with MaxSoft in the summer of 2016. The website was completed in about three months.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All our orders are coming from the website. People are finding us and ordering honey, which is great. Around 60% of our income comes from the site. Contacting MaxSoft was definitely great.

How did MaxSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, they did a great job for us, without the need for too much interaction. The communication was great. My main contact delivered everything I asked for. The results were great in the end. I was able to call him directly, which was quite good. We also used email and Skype for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did a great job. They were self-driven, delivered everything on time and at a low cost, and the communication was good. I’m quite satisfied with what they did.

MaxSoft should keep up the good work.

BACKGROUND

We are a software company that delivers software products to business clients. We have about 10 employees and are located in Sofia, Bulgaria. We strive to be the most innovative company possible. I am a project manager and manage the development projects.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We needed to create a new software product that didn't exist in our local market. We needed to create a quality product plus market it correctly to get the proper amount of usage and popularity. 

SOLUTION

MaxSoft developed the software product using the scrum methodology, they also provided a little training and support. We selected them after researching and interviewing several companies. We found them through an Internet search, we opted to hire them because they could deliver good quality very quickly. The price of the project is confidential. They completed the work on May 12, 2014.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The entire project was a big success. They delivered the project on time and on budget. We have no major issues to report. The end client was thrilled with the project, which is the main metric. MaxSoft is unique because they are a small but very professional team that handles development projects expertly and completes all work very rapidly.

The only regret is from our end, we should have started the project sooner. Our development timeline was abbreviated, so we didn't have time to advertise the product. If we had more time, we would have been more successful, but that's our fault. I am very likely to recommend MaxSoft to others.
