We had a fairly large list of needs for a new website. Moreover, after a series of in-depth interviews with users, we discovered a set of non-obvious but necessary features that also needed to be implemented, including dark theme, reading mode with increased font size, the ability to save an article to bookmarks in one click, and a quick search for materials on the site.

In total, the backlog included more than 100 functions of varying complexity. Particular attention was paid to the development of the mobile version because three-quarters of total website traffic comes from smartphones.

After launching the new website we saw an increase in traffic by +80%. We've received very positive feedback from our readers regarding the design and usability of the website.

Our workflow was very efficient, their communication skills are strong. We used Slack and Google Meet to communicate. Mavericks Agency utilizes Teamwork for project management, so we could log in at any time to address any questions from the development team or track their progress on each sprint. If we had any changes or suggestions during development, they responded quickly and always found solutions to any problems.

Working with the Mavericks Agency has helped us succeed in spreading knowledge among people. Since its inception, our site has registered several hundred thousand users who take courses and receive certificates. The site has a simple and minimalistic interface. It sets users up for learning and making the process in the most convenient way. That is definitely a success.

The project management was very good. We've always been in touch. Communication was effective, and we quickly agreed on changes, valuing each other’s time.

Our corporate branding and website were created years ago and were not updated both from the front and end sides, causing loss of clients, traffic decrease, and damaging the brand image.

What were your goals for this project?

As the company has decided to launch a process of partial rebranding, creating a new website, completely redesigned, with necessary lead generation elements in place was critical.

How did you select Mavericks Agency?

I have received offers from 3 website design & development companies based on the brief I provided. After narrowing it down to 2 competing providers with a similar price offer and what is seemed like similar quality of the expected outcome, I decided to make my decision based on the communication process, since the agency i would choose would be people i'd have to work with remotely almost on daily basis for few upcoming month.

It was important to me that our communication would be easy and that i could trust to delegate many decisions to them without turning to my internal team for technical advice. Mavericks seemed to be the best fit based on my criteria and initial communication experience.

Once I have selected the vendor, we had a few discovery meetings for them to learn our company's products, goals, and objectives, a couple of weeks later I have received access to Figma to be able to track initial design offer progress in live. We communicated on a weekly basis for bigger organizational calls and almost daily for smaller tasks.

Very soon I have received a mockup of the first version of the new design and approved it right away since it felt like they understood the brand even without clear brand guidelines in place. So the process started off pretty fast from that point. In a few more weeks the whole layout was ready and Mavericks did a great job communicating their ideas about user experience and lead gen rules to be implemented through their design.

What was the team composition?

I was assigned a very well trained project manager to communicate my requirement to Mavericks team but was aware that there were always a dedicated designer, font, and back end developers working on our project at the same time.

This type of communication proved to be very effective due to the project manager's professional skills and ability to translate customer requirements into tasks for different team members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 3,5 months, our new website was launched and integrated thoroughly with all the necessary sales and marketing automation tools giving us an opportunity to set up workflows and track the performance.

The traffic has increased by 65% and inbound lead generation is now a steady process bringing us quality B2B leads on a daily basis.

A lot of content for the website is still being developed on our side, but we continue hearing feedback from our existing customers about the improved user flow and how these changes brought them back to us. It definitely helps a lot with brand loyalty

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We communicated through Slack for video calls and screen sharing, and emails for other communications. Overall, the delivery and change implementation was always timely and effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It's impressive how knowledgeable the team is on best practices in website design, implementation, and optimization. This was a very collaborative and positive experience. I have learned a lot during this project and before it finished knew that my next design effort - which is our company's product - will definitely go to Mavericks.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothin is perfect and sometimes things could be done faster, but in our case, the quality was definitely more important than speed and we ended up with a beautiful high-quality result which is now showing a positive impact on our business.
