We hired Matrix Marketers to handle the SEO strategy and content creation for our website. Their scope of work included:

What stood out most about Matrix Marketers was their ability to consistently deliver high-quality work while maintaining excellent communication. Are there any areas for improvement or something Matrix Marketers could have done differently?

Overall, Matrix Marketers delivered excellent results and met our expectations. One area of improvement could be more proactive communication regarding the progress of certain tasks, such as providing updates without being prompted. Additionally, ensuring more regular reporting on key metrics could further enhance their already effective processes. These minor adjustments would make their services even more exceptional.

I’m the CEO and one of the owners of Negina Online LTD, an Israeli company that deals with online music education. We have Israeli and German websites.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Matrix Marketers?

We hired Matrix Marketers to maintain our websites, both of which are pretty straightforward and don’t have a lot of advanced technology involved. We do serve tens of thousands of people, so stability and making the site move fast and efficiently were always a challenge for us. 

People don’t like to wait but we have videos that load one on top of the other according to what the user is playing, which was a challenge.  We used to have a fulltime in-house developer whose abilities we weren’t too happy with.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ankur (CEO, Matrix Marketers) and his team implemented new features and handled everything from top to bottom on the front- and backend, except for some HTML5 tools. 

Matrix Marketers also managed anything related to PHP coding, database integrations, and so on. In addition to working on Symfony PHP development, the team also used MySQL for the databases.

What is the team composition?

We had a main point of contact for the financials such as invoicing and quotes. Day-to-day, we worked with Savita (PHP Developer, Matrix Marketers) who served as the main developer and project manager. She had two developers working under her. There was also a QA tester involved.

How did you come to work with Matrix Marketers?

I was working with another company to create piano interfaces and someone there recommended Matrix Marketers.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $100,000–$120,000

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together from May 2017–November 2019. We’re now in the development stages for a new version of our frontend, but I’m sure we’ll go to Matrix Marketers for maintenance work.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We try to avoid outsourcing providers because of availability issues, but we do it because of cost. I don’t know how they did it, but Matrix Marketers was always online. There was always someone supporting us, which is very unusual.

How did Matrix Marketers perform from a project management standpoint?

We believe in flexibility, so we don’t have deadlines. Matrix Marketers was well-organized and we communicated with them through Skype and Jira.

We also used GitHub and version control, which they introduced us to. It was really easy to track what had been completed and to see our progress. Their management abilities were without a doubt better than ours. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were always available and they were reliable. It felt like they were a part of our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The time zone difference was a challenge when we encountered a bug. Working between Israel and India meant that our working hours don’t overlap for half of the day, and that was a disadvantage. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

There’s nothing I can think of.
