Please provide us with a brief description of your company.

Midland Chemicals Middle East LLC is a subsidiary of Midland Chemicals U.K and has been in the Middle East since 2001 operating through a local trading company under manufacturing license. We have our own dedicated state of the art production plant that caters our customers in the food, beverage, and institutional sector.


What is your role at the company?

I am the Technical Director and a consultant at the company.


What challenge were you trying to address with Matrid?

We were growing very quickly and were finding it difficult to smoothly execute our supply chain management processes. It included a lot of paperwork and required a lot of man hours to quickly process all current orders and move on to the next ones. We wanted to deploy a software that could help us get through all these processes swiftly and efficiently.  


What was the scope of their involvement?

Matrid Technologies offered to develop a fully equipped supply chain management software for us to carry out our customer requirement processing, purchase order processing, inventory management, goods receipt management, and warehouse management, plus supplier sourcing.

How did you come to work with Matrid?

We published an RFP for the project and out of those, their quote and corresponding experience seemed the best to me. They had a great experience and had worked on some top rated projects across different continents. They justified their price quote with thoughtful and innovative suggestions and provided some very promising references.

How much have you invested with Matrid?

The total project cost ranged between $25,000 and $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project timeline was from June 2014 to February 2015 with six months of ongoing support. We often go back to them for any upgrades or other support related to the software.


What were the results of the project? Are there any success stories or metrics you can share?

It has resulted in tremendous time savings and effective processes in our organization.

When working with this company is there anything that sets them apart compared to other partners you may have worked with?

The management and team at Matrid Technologies are extremely patient and communicative. They guided us through every step of running the software after setting it up and also took the time out to explain how to troubleshoot simple problems if any ever occurred. They are accessed very easily.

Do you have any constructive criticism? Is there any area that they could improve?

I personally feel that they did their best and don’t see any major area of critical analysis.

Overall Score With them being so patient in taking our unique requirements and then explaining each and every step of how to use the software and also troubleshoot minor issues, it was a great experience.
