Product Development for MLS Platform
DelightfulHomes (named changed due to NDA) is a well-known multiple listing service in the United States. The company has evolved into a top real-estate marketplace, enabling users to look for properties listed for sale in different states across the country.
Despite gaining popularity as an effective property listing service, cumbersome technologies slowed down our client's website.
DelightfulHomes wanted to provide an elevated digital experience to its users by including features like property-centric filters, cross-property search, readily available owner's information, and more on the website.
They wanted to build and ship these features fast, but their in-house team was already working at total capacity and had their hands full.
Hiring, training, ramping up, and retaining an in-house team is no easy feat. Usually, it takes months to hire the right people, align them with your vision and get things moving. DH had a massive product backlog and needed to move quickly.
This was when they decided to look externally for a product development partner that could co-own the roadmap and help them meet their goals.
Luckily, they didn't have to look far. They were already using our nocode chatbot and livechat platform - WotNot (www.wotnot.io). It only made sense to bring in our engineering team to help them pick up the pace on product development.
We helped transform the website from a cumbersome listing platform to an efficient and responsive inventory with refreshing layouts, improved navigation, customizable search options, and filters for better conversions and performance.
The combination of enhanced search features and chatbot on the website has increased the revenue for DelightfulHomes by 1.5X.
Maruti Techlabs continues to act as our client's extended product development team. The partnership has been going strong for more than three years, and we look forward to DelightfulHomes' continued growth into newer geographies.

Analytics Portal for Chatbot & Live Chat Platform
Maruti Techlabs was roped in to ideate, conceptualize and help WotNot define the Analytics Portal from the ground up.
This included workshops around UI/UX, followed by outlining the development blueprint which consisted of tech stack, timelines and approach towards building and shipping this core feature.
- We made use of Elasticsearch as the database for faster retrieval of chatbot and agent KPI data
- All KPIs fetch results on their own API calls, which were further provided to enterprise clients
- Custom developed libraries for a better experience on visualization including a drill-down functionality
- Interviews with WotNot's 100+ customers to get their feedback on the ideal KPIs, and recurring feedback from test groups before shipping the final update

Software Dev Services for National Insurance Distributor
“They’ve done a good job.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Medigap Life, a national insurance distributor focused on the Medicare vertical.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We were attempting to develop new technology solutions associated with the improvement of our customers’ suite of apps.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially completed a workshop to determine the total scope of work, requirements, and our definition of success. From there, Maruti began the development process. We launched the beta and did QA tests. After that, we finally moved to production. The frameworks they used were PHP and Python.
One of the deliverables was built from scratch, while the other was a combination of a new platform and an existing one. They did some design work, too; they produced wireframes that we used for our projects’ UX.
What is the team composition?
I worked with their account manager, the project manager, and one senior developer.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
I found Maruti online and read their reviews. That was how we engaged them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $200,000–$1 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the partnership in January 2022, and it’s ongoing. Although our first project has been completed, we have other projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our measure of success is based on our ROI or the number of sales that we’ve generated as a result of their software build effort.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Maruti does an excellent job in terms of project management. They’re truly organized with their deployment — they’re always on schedule. Their accuracy in terms of work scope is excellent. Most of our communications are handled through weekly and semiweekly phone calls, along with Slack communications.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have accurate project scoping and timelines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. They’ve done a good job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Maruti is hands-on and does a good job of planning and setting expectations. As a result, you should complete their workshops.

Custom Software & App Development for Software Agency
“Communication and transparency were the two key strengths of Maruti Techlabs.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a software agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
I had been tasked to develop a brand new platform for the temporary workforce industry. This project had a complex challenge regarding turning paper-based and hidden data into a visual dashboard with a communications component to communicate with temporary workers. This aspect was challenging because there is a three-parties agreement for these kinds of engagements in the UK. The workers work for an agency, and the agency provides them to the end client, which causes an important data disconnect.
What was the scope of their involvement?
My company and I created the design document that specified our requirements, and we hired Maruti Techlabs to translate those requirements into code. It was a very collaborative and transparent process.
The product is a data analytics platform with multiple dashboards, a messaging component, and a complimentary mobile app. The technology stack that Maruti Techlabs used included PHP, Node.js, React Native, and AWS.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about 10–12 people from Maruti Techlabs, including the CEO, the commercial director, a business development person, senior leads, a project lead, a backend development lead, and a frontend development team.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
I worked with my client to define the requirements. Then, we went through a tender process in which we sent the design document to many agencies, including some agencies listed on Clutch. Maruti Techlabs was among the top three of the 17 agencies we found for this project.
One of the key elements we were looking for in a partner was clear and transparent communication. During the tendering process, Maruti Techlabs asked us for some extra time to read the document thoroughly, and they came back with very good questions about the design from a software perspective. Ultimately, we chose them out of the three companies we shortlisted.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $180,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We engaged with Maruti Techlabs in November 2021, started working on the development project in December 2021, and completed the first part of the project in June 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve been in the technology industry for 20 years, and I can say that the performance of our product is exceptional, especially related to its dashboard. It has 23 components, all feeding and requesting data, and their response time is just a few seconds. Once we go live with some larger customers, we will see if its performance matches what we’ve seen during the initial testing phase.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Maruti Techlabs performed very well. We managed the sprint cycles using Confluence and Jira, and we used Zoom and Google Meet to communicate. We had daily to at least weekly stand-up meetings, depending on the stage of the project and its criticality. We also kept track of the Jira tickets, and we had recordings and notes of every conversation we had.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Communication and transparency were the two key strengths of Maruti Techlabs. Their honesty was crucial, as it always is in software development projects. They knew their boundaries and what they could and couldn’t do. During the initial calls, they brought in the right people for the task, which was great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Maruti Techlabs’ use of the project management tools could have been better to improve visibility into the progress during the particular sprint. Additionally, I’ve noticed that some offshore teams, including them, seem to be afraid of telling the customer when something is not right. Thus, it would be great if they opened up the conversation with the customer; they were reluctant to do so at the start. Still, I was able to pull that information from them, which eventually helped everyone in the project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a well-defined design document, discuss with them the technical aspects, and ensure that they can deliver against that design. If you do that, they’ll be good to go.

Dashboard & Mobile App Development for Software Data Company
“We’ve always felt that we’re on the same page and following the same goal, which has been very refreshing.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a software data company. We process and analyze people analytics data within the high-volume recruitment sector.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We needed to develop a dashboard. A challenge within the high-volume recruitment sector is that it’s very transactional, and a lot of people analytics data gets collected through different spreadsheets and data silos. Thus, we were trying to bring all that data together into one user-friendly and easy-to-use dashboard. Additionally, we wanted to create a mobile app to promote better behavioral and engagement programs across the workforce.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Maruti Techlabs has helped us develop the dashboard and mobile app we needed. First, we provided them with a very detailed brief that our CTO had produced, which included a detailed outline of the framework. Then, we started to develop the visual aspect of the products, providing Maruti Techlabs with images of how we wanted them to look and feel. They were also in charge of the app’s UI/UX design.
The dashboard is accessed via a website, and it has a rating system that allows employees to rate the recruitment agency and the place of work. It also analyzes the time of service the employee served and creates demographical reports. This tool is aimed at helping customers and recruitment agencies optimize the workforce more efficiently and productively.
As for the mobile app, it serves as a communication and training tool, providing employees with training badges. Its dynamic nature is aimed at narrowing the gap between permanent and temporary employees. The app is available on iOS and Android.
Once our business is up and running, we will continue working with Maruti Techlabs on a secondary backend development project related to the products they’ve built.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with Dhanraj (Senior Demand Generation Manager), a project manager, a software architect, and six frontend and backend developers.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
My CTO ran a tendering process to scope out various agencies. He created a design requirement document outlining the project’s scope and interviewed 7–8 software development agencies from around the world, including Maruti Techlabs. After the interviews, he created a scorecard of each agency and narrowed the options down to three.
I got involved during that last part of the evaluation process to see who we felt the most comfortable working with and who seemed to be a natural fit for us. Maruti Techlabs stood out from the rest for me because we had a cultural fit, and they seemed to really get our project. I was also looking for a trustworthy and accessible team to work with, and they scored highly in those aspects during the process.
How much have you invested in them?
So far, we‘ve spent around £150,000 (approximately $181,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2021, and we’re still engaged with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our new product will help our customers optimize their workforce by attracting more candidates, increasing their retention rate, and improving employee productivity. Additionally, it will help them reduce their recruitment spending by making the recruitment process more efficient and promoting better employee behavioral practices to avoid turnovers.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re very happy with Maruti Techlabs’ project management. They’ve rarely missed deadlines, and their communication has been fantastic. It is very important for us to have open and honest lines of communication, and Maruti Techlabs understands that very well. We communicate via Slack, emails, and video calls, and we’ve used a Gantt chart to manage the projects.
During the development process, we had daily calls involving my CTO. Additionally, we had a fortnightly call with Maruti Techlabs’ leadership, including their CEO, their director, and the project manager, to have open discussions about the progress and the challenges. This aspect really helped shape the success of the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Maruti Techlabs is very passionate about building quality products and launching them to ensure the clients’ success. We’ve always felt that we’re on the same page and following the same goal, which has been very refreshing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Provide Maruti Techlabs with a very detailed and descriptive scope, and they will deliver. Additionally, try to get Dhanraj involved in your project; he is fantastic to work with.

Custom Software Development for Online Telehealth Company
“They’re very professional, and the team ensures the project moves on time.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of an online telehealth company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We needed help with custom software development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Maruti Techlabs has built a telehealth application and CRM from scratch. They’ve done all the development using React, and 70%–90% of the design work is ours; the rest is theirs.
What is the team composition?
They have 4–5 people on the team, and there’s a primary point of contact.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
I had a friend that used them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began our partnership in January 2022, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Working with them has been great. They execute promptly and are punctual. Also, they’re excellent at planning — they always have a well-put-together plan on their end. Overall, they’ve met expectations.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is excellent. We have weekly calls on the dot, and they never cancel. We just use regular phone calls, Slack, and meetings for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They execute very well and are excellent to work with. They’re very professional, and the team ensures the project moves on time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they have excellent planning skills.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Spend a lot of time preparing the scope of work and thinking about what they’ll need. Otherwise, you’ll get midway through the project, and there’ll be a bunch of corrections that you could’ve avoided in the beginning.

Decision Support Tool Dev & Design for Oil & Energy Company
"Maruti Techlabs was able to deliver consistently, so we were able to review everything at every stage."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and managing director of an enterprise based in the UK that supports the industry through AI-powered solutions.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We were upgrading an existing decision support tool that assists staff to make decisions about whether or not they could safely send technicians offshore to wind turbines.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided Maruti Techlabs with our user requirements through Jira and Figma. The team used Angular to complete our project, and they worked using several agile sprints to develop individual screens.
At first, they developed a project roadmap, and they created user stories. They also collated UI/UX design within those user stories. After that, they were tasked to identify the timelines they expected to achieve those designs. Subsequently, they went into more detail after each iteration. They spearheaded software testing efforts, too.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a commercial manager, project manager, developers, and more.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
Maruti Techlabs found us, and their timing was helpful. We were just on product development when they reached out to us, and we were already looking at different companies. At that time, we organized a short trial between potential vendors and Maruti Techlabs succeeded in the end. We chose them because of their high-quality testing and development process.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent £20,000–$30,000 (approximately $27,000–$40,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We partnered with them from June–September 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The engagement was quite straightforward from all perspectives. Maruti Techlabs was able to deliver what we expected without any big issues; we didn’t have any critical system-stopping bugs. Everything they did was good for testing, which gave us the opportunity to see if what they were developing was working seamlessly. Since they were releasing something every few days or weekly, we were able to quickly adjust things.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management workflow was good because we were using various channels to communicate. To be specific, we were able to access Slack channels they organized for us in order to spearhead discussions on particular topics regarding our project.
On top of that, whenever we had queries, we were able to get in touch with their project manager or commercial manager. Then, if there were matters that needed to be clarified, we’d jump on a video conference call on Zoom or Google Hangouts. Overall, they were very responsive, and they asked questions when they weren’t sure of some things.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Maruti Techlabs was able to deliver consistently, so we were able to review everything at every stage. There was also no gap in their communication. As a result, some design decisions were made effectively because they worked well with all the backend engineers, ensuring that there was no friction between the front- and backend.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should take design decisions themselves or indicate improvements that would impact the future scalability and robustness of how our application worked. I would’ve loved to hear their feedback on the design, structure, and architecture of our application during the partnership, rather than just contracting them to do a piece of work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Open up all communication channels possible in order to ensure that you have the level of quality you expect to get. If you tell them upfront what you need, they’ll be able to deliver. More importantly, they’re good at listening, and they’re able to adjust plans in real-time.

Web & Software Development for Data Analytics Company
"They’re incredibly good at owning a complete piece of work rather than just providing labor."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of SageData, a data analytics company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We needed programming resources and experts in certain technologies in order to help us build our platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They do web and software development for us. In the beginning, we wanted somebody who could code in a particular language, and work with technologies such as APIs in order to do a set of specific tasks that needed to be done. As we started working with them, we got a very good impression of how they address project management and expectation management — we then started scaling up our work in other areas like web development.
Maruti would help us with WordPress or frontend work using React when we need them to.
What is the team composition?
We started with one and increased the team to around five people. They provided us leadership roles with people who could oversee the project, as well as guide their experts from a strategic perspective on how to get things done. They have a project manager who would allocate resources at different stages, and experts in WordPress, PHP, CSS, people who work with databases, Python, AWS, etc — Maruti has a broad spread of expertise.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
They reached out to us through email, and the timing was good when we actually needed somebody. They sent us a short description of what they do and what they specialize in — I then responded to that email and we set up a call.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent somewhere between $3,000-$5,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2021, and our partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
When we had a client that we needed to integrate into our platform or into a new data source, their team did it in 24 hours which was very good. I was looking for months for somebody who could help us with the design and improvements of our website, and it was a big project span.
There was a lot of work from structural improvement on the website like expediting speed, to redesigning the pages to creating workflows — I got so frustrated with all the platforms like Freelancer that we looked at, because they all overpromised and underdelivered. It was months of frustration.
Then I came to Maruti Techlabs, and I asked them if they had somebody who could help us with WordPress and do a lot of work for a month. They said they do, but all their people were busy. They spoke internally, they asked me for the specs, and then they came back within a few days to tell us they shuffled some things around in order to give us somebody for three weeks.
Although I’d consider them to be premium priced, at the end of the day, they’re much cheaper because their experts are so good that they worked with us right away.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management skills are exceptional, and it’s one of the key reasons why they’re so successful at what they do — they meet the deadlines and they deliver what they promise. They use Jira to manage the project, and it’s where they do all the proper commenting. They ask questions throughout the tasks and when they do something, they put screenshots and links to show us what they did so that we can review it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One of their strongest points compared to other freelancers is they’re incredibly good at owning a complete piece of work rather than just providing labor. They don’t focus on selling hours, but they’re very good at delivering results. They also take their time to find out what you’re looking for as a result and are incredibly good at expectation management.
When they say it’s going to be done next week, they deliver on time. I have absolute confidence in them and I can sleep soundly knowing everything is going to be done on time. When they can’t do something, they tell us openly which makes me trust them even more.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I consider them to be one of our key partners. The only thing they could do is have more resources available. It’s our fault more than anything for not being able to provide them with what they need consistently.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear understanding of what you want as an outcome.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of product development at an auto parts manufacturing company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maruti Techlabs?
We’re developing a tool to better predict sales on the auto parts that we’ve developed. The prediction is based on data from previously developed parts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Maruti Techlabs developed a machine learning (ML) tool for us to learn from our data. Before we paid them anything, we signed an NDA for the data they’d evaluate. After about a month of evaluation, they came back to us with the correlations of variables in our data. Then, they quoted the project in three phases.
Phase one was a deeper dive into the data, and the initial payment was 10% of the whole project’s cost. They spent another month cleaning and analyzing our data. Once the analysis was done, we paid them for 70% of the project and they went on developing the ML tool.
We’ve recently approved the solution, but it’s not up on our systems yet. To continue improving its performance and fix issues going forward, they’re giving us 10 hours of service per month for a year after the development.
What is the team composition?
Our point person is Dhanraj (Strategy Manager for Demand Generation & Enterprise Sales). He serves as Maruti Techlabs’ marketing person. We’ve also worked with a couple of sophisticated programmers.
How did you come to work with Maruti Techlabs?
I talked to around eight companies before I chose Maruti Techlabs. The companies were very similar in terms of how they said they'd work on the project. What distinguished Maruti Techlabs was their case study. I was looking for case studies to see which companies had done a similar project to what I wanted, and they sent me the most similar case study.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $25,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first contacted them in September 2020, and the engagement is technically ongoing. We only recently approved the tool, and we’re currently moving it from their servers to ours.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of their service is great. There hasn’t been a time when I’ve sent an email and they don’t respond. We also always have regular calls. Meanwhile, it’s hard to judge the true final outcome of the project because we haven’t started using the tool yet.
However, we expect it to improve the accuracy of our predictions by 100%. Our predictions above a thousand pieces of parts are going to be 30% accurate, which is pretty decent for us. Everything under a thousand pieces will be 80% accurate. It remains to be seen how the tool works for all the new parts.
How did Maruti Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via Zoom or MS Teams. They use an API that lets them extract more current data, and we have biweekly meetings to address our questions and progress.
Meanwhile, the development has taken nine months to finish, though their estimation was between 4–6 months. We’ve run into some issues when they barked up the wrong tree. Despite that, their communication has been so good, and we’ve sorted the issues out.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Maruti Techlabs is attentive to customer service. Their communication is great even after the development. They always make sure that we’re happy with what we have. I’m sure that they’ll continue doing that based on the experience I’ve had with them in the past 8–9 months.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In terms of customer service, there isn't anything they need to improve. Meanwhile, I still have to see the results going forward to know if we could've done better somewhere else.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them the clearest picture of the project that you can. In our case, we’ve given them the most data that we can. They’re not in our business, so it’s important for us to be exact in what we want and where we want to use it. On the flip side, since they know more about data than I do, I let them tell me what’s truly correlated in our data.

For what projects/services did your company hire Maruti Techlabs?
We approached them to build an interactive chat-bot, from the prototype to the current iteration. We hired the team to build a chat-bot assistant to reduce repetitive work for our sale sand support team extensively.
What were your goals for this project?
The main goal of a chat-bot is to increase client conversation, automate engagement, support and online lead generation.
How did you select this vendor?
They had successfully developed and deployed a chat-bot for one of our subsidiaries, so it made sense to work with them to develop the bot for the parent company as well. Their track record and references were pretty solid as well.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Their team developed the chat-bot that is live on our website for easier communication with visitors. The bot interacts with visitors, and gradually gets their contact details for our sale steam. We have an email integration in place where the bots sends out email notifications directly to our agents in real time.
The core purpose of the bot is to guide the visitor and assist them in product inquiry, bulk orders, after sales support or technical support.
What was the team composition?
We initiated the conversation with a business analyst and a conversation designer who then handled the bot development and updates from there on with their team internally.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
All our goals related to the chat bot project were achieved. The project had a short time-frame and was delivered on time. We have recently gone live, and we’ve mostly seen positive feedback and are excited about its potential.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
I dealt with their business analyst almost exclusively, and the process was very tidy and streamlined. I didn’t have to strike up new communication protocols with different people and I could reach out to them at any point. We mainly used email and calls for talking about process, billing, big-picture estimations, and so on.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I always appreciate quality and speed in every working relationship. Both these qualities were-provided by Maruti Techlabs on top of their great technical skill and understanding of the industry. The chabot took a lot less time for them to develop, optimize, and deliver than we had expected. Overall, I greatly value their quality of work, speed of delivery, expertise, and their communication skills.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None. If you’re one of their potential customers - I assure you that you are in safe hands and should hire them.
