Said help with website very easy to use and he is helping take pictures of our menu to be found on Google. I feel good to know I own my customer data that buy from me, not Doordarsh. I can now see how many more people see and click and call our restaurant.

We have started to take new orders from customers near us who never knew that we were open. In the first month, we added over $500 in new sales and we still haven't even started our Facebook ads. It's not a huge amount, but those sales happened simply because he updated our Google Business Page.

Said is very patient with me. I don't do technology very well. We like Whatsapp and he made a group chat for me, my sister who also co-owns it, and him where we give him all photos and video and he give us many great ideas that we are still going to do. He explain everything.

Why he want to work with us? I was confused because he came to me one night and began to ask me about ubereats and commission and I did not know. My previous partner no longer with us, was who open ubereats for us. I like him. He speaks good English and he speaks good Spanish. Even can change from Mexican Spanish to Central American Spanish, like El Salvador because this is DC.

We had a big problem with ordering online system at first, but it was our internet connection. But I understand that he didn't know it was our internet.

We thought we only needed a website and a logo, but through his sit-down with us, we found out that there was more to branding than that. So that initial conversation turned into how we present ourselves to the market and reinforced it through a website, logo, social media channel set up, calendar bookings, digital business cards, flyers, blog posts, and seo stuff to keep us on google page results.

We've started to get more calls from mobile site visits. Our clients are impressed by how professional we look and that experience is consistent from our website, to flyer, to digital cards, and the tees our field technicians wear with our logo on it. Q3 is a winds down a bit because folks are saving for the holidays, but we made shy north of $60K more.

The thing that made working with Said that much more of a relief is that he would give me milestones on what I could expect from him, and he'd give me access to his Trello board so we could see what was being done. That way our meetings had a clear agenda of our shared responsibilities and expectations from one another.

Our values align. And though we serve all residents of the High Point area, we're both Hispanic business owners and that's where we knew that he gets us and helped us find our voice that leverages our cultural values and how we apply it to our work ethic and good client service.

Overall he's great and we plan on working more together for the upcoming vehicle wraps. But sometimes he focuses too much on the technical jargon when all I want to hear is that the thing works or maybe be better at explaining it to nontech folk.

I needed to stand out in a loud & saturated city where anyone can call themselves a dj. My goal was to position myself as the go-to dj for Arabic pop. I hired Saïd to design my overall brand strategy and implement a fully functional website that funneled qualified client leads & an e-commerce store to supplement as an additional passive revenue stream where Arab pop culture merch is sold.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
My background is in academia and have no tech skills outside my dj software. Saïd was recommended by the owner of the bar where I'm a resident dj after he had also hired him for branding work & some other marketing projects.

He sat me down and went over almost every touchpoint I could think of where I interact with my audience. We looked at other resident djs in the area to see how they were approaching their own audiences and tried to look for bottlenecks of where I could differentiate myself in a more competitive way. Once we had a better idea of what I was going to focus on as a dj, he helped me with naming, branding, and implementing the identity assets he created into my social media strategy.

I worked directly with Saïd. I understand he works with sub-contractors to delegate approved directions, but he's the creative lead.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
My branding looks so damn professional across all my channels that whipped the competition because they're all trying to do it themselves instead of having invested in their business. After a few sets, a bar owner asked me to be a resident dj. I've gotten more inquiries for weddings & corporate parties (min $1.5K for five hours of work) where I've had to increase my rate to only keep more serious clients that won't haggle me on price. One of the funny things is that we're starting to see other djs copy some of the strategies we drafted in the brand audit session.

They held my hand throughout the entire process. He'd make our Zoom call flexible, the interview felt casual & natural, we had a Trello board to manage his deliverables and had clear communication of what he needed from me. I was never left in the dark for when I would hear from him because all tasks had clear deadlines.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
One of the refreshing things about working with Saïd was that he was upfront on things he didn't specialize in. I needed some technical help on accepting payments and he didn't know either but his guess was just as good as mine and I was patient with him as he looked into it to help me figure it out. Now, I can also make it easy for my fans to tip me with their phones when they come out to my dance parties.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I'm a very hands-on person in terms of how I deal with my own clients, but Saïd was pushing for more automations when it came to funneling client inquiries. While we did a bit of it, I pushed back on most of the other more complex stuff since it felt too impersonal. I appreciate his energy, but he looked at scaling too quickly for me and I prefer much more organic growth. Maybe sometime in the future.
