Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an independent artist that produces music.
What challenge were you trying to address with Up on Mars?
I needed a strategy to grow my social media following.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Because of COVID-19, I couldn’t have live performances, so I needed to develop my social media.
Alex (Digital Consultant) helped create content for my social media through 3D modeling, music videos, advertising videos for Instagram and Facebook, and Instagram filters.
In the first few months, I needed visuals for my new releases. They helped me create a lyric video for YouTube and my site, which helped draw more attention to the release. They also created short ads and cover art.
What is the team composition?
I only work with Alex.
How did you come to work with Up on Mars?
It was through word of mouth. Someone suggested Alex to me.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent €2,500 (approximately $3,400 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2020
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve been extremely happy with their support. Their work has helped grow my following on Spotify, Instagram, and my live sessions. Since June, I’ve gained over 1,500 followers on Spotify.
In August, I started live streaming, and with their work, I was able to draw viewers to my shows. I’ve managed to draw a lot more attention. I now have 2,000 views. My social following grew a lot on Twitter and Reddit. I have around 30,000 followers now.
How did Up on Mars perform from a project management standpoint?
All deadlines were met. It was easy to work with their team. I had a vision for my project, and I received exactly what I asked for. It was straightforward to work with them. If I didn’t like something, they would develop my idea better to meet my expectations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The ideas I had in my head were turned into reality. Their communication was very good, and they understood my expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
So far, so good. The project is still ongoing. We’re working towards the next release, and it’s all working out well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is key. The only advice I could give is to try and express your vision for the project as detailed as possible to get the results you’re looking for.

How did you come to work with Up On Mars?
I had two projects in the UK, and I needed someone that knew the market and language. I found them through a recommendation from my brother, who lives in the country.

We normally work together through Trello and Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Alex is a good professional, and he’s quite charismatic. I enjoy working with them and they’re very efficient.

The best advice is to let them work.

Business Consulting for Music Label
"Up on Mars’ expertise has really helped our business."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director and CEO of Plazma Group Limited, a music publishing company, as well as radio and events. We are an entertainment agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with Up On Mars?
We needed someone to help us with business consulting.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Up On Mars really helped us with general business consulting and strategic consulting when it comes to the music business, the legal requirements, company opening procedures, and tips and tricks. Alex (Marketing Consultant) was a great help.
I approached Alex more as a general inquiry about starting in the music businesses. He helped me set up the company, and we did some networking events. I had an artist who was a live act that was found busking in London, and with the help of Alex, we were able to get him for our events.
He also helped us with the press kit and stepped in to offer a hand with how it should be. I followed everything he has said, and it seems like it is working.
What is the team composition?
I communicate only with Alex, and I’m not sure if he has any new teammates.
How did you come to work with Up On Mars?
We found him organically. Alex was recommended to me. He sounded interesting and it sounded like he knew what he is doing which we now know he does.
How much have you invested in them?
In total for all the consultancies, it would be around $2,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work started in January 2019, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
With Up On Mars, we aim for quality, not quantity. I really like how they watch over the artists and the whole business. Everything is precise and they always sees the big picture of what’s happening. and maybe that is why we team up so well because we are both led by quality.
Up on Mars’ expertise has really helped our business. We are getting bookings and I do believe that is with their help.
How did Up On Mars perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve performed very well. We are really on the same level when it comes to quality, time management and team management, and the final product.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Up On Mars is very easy to work with. With me being in Switzerland for so long, if one of us needs something, we just phone each other up and we get straight to the point. We solve the problem and then we can get to daily life. They’re really good, and I would definitely team up with their team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have never had any problems, and I wouldn’t say there is anywhere Up On Mars needs to improve. Alex in particular is doing really well, and I think that is a big achievement, considering he is self-taught.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Follow their vision, listen to them, and if you need something, communicate it. You just have to listen to them as that is why they’re there.
Their work has increased social media following and live stream participants. Up on Mars is easy to work with. Their straightforward approach complemented their high-level of communication. They went above and beyond to meet expectations.
