Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a software company. We provide a suite of software as a service (SaaS) applications that help financial institutions automate and digitize their lending operations. We’re based in San Francisco and have international offices in Sydney, London, and Bangalore.

What challenge were you trying to address with Marlabs Inc?
We needed an implementation partner.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We leveraged Marlabs to implement products for our customers. We had an account with one of the top 20 largest private banks in Asia. They wanted to transform their lending business from a manual to a completely digital process, and they chose us as the product solution. We partnered with Marlabs to implement our products for the customer.
It was a collaboration between Marlabs, our company, and the bank. All three companies drafted the workflows for the business process and mapped business processes onto our product capabilities. Marlabs did an excellent job of addressing those gaps while implementing our products.
How did you come to work with Marlabs Inc?
To implement our products, we looked for young, nimble partners with Salesforce expertise and financial services domain experience. There are a handful of consulting organizations out there, but a narrow number of firms combine those areas of expertise.
We decided to partner with Marlabs because they have both. Our contacts at Salesforce referred them as one of their silver partners. Now they’re a gold or platinum partner.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2016 and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Marlabs has done a wonderful job at taking these customer products live in about three months, a short duration for a digital transformation project of this scope and size. The bank can now originate loans in a day or less. It used to take a week or two.
They’re an important partner for us. They do a good job of delivering on time and under budget. We have found 40 customers the last year, and Marlabs implemented close to 10 of those. Of last year's new customers, 25% were implemented by Marlabs.
How did Marlabs Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
They are very professional, open, and transparent. I communicate with their CEO sometimes.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their customer satisfaction is impressive. Marlabs does a good job of implementing our products.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to be open about business and personnel challenges. Since they’re based in India, there is typically a lot of attrition within the company. Mitigating risk is very important. Prospective clients or partners need to address this upfront while working with Marlabs.
