3on3 Cyprus LTD is the official organizing party for 3x3 Basketball Tournaments in Cyprus. We are official affiliates of the Cyprus Basketball Federation hosting official Fiba-endorsed events. Cyprus 3on3 mission is all about taking basketball back to the streets, proving that, through sport and sportsmanship values our communities can become better places for future generations. 

We are all about promoting the sport 3x3 basketball around the island, establishing high-caliber tournaments as an annual tradition, as well as becoming among the top streetball tournaments in the world.

Marketing Nest helped us to elevate Cyprus 3×3 as a national streetball event in Cyprus. We trusted the Nest team with the mission to:

• Boost player registrations
• Improve online brand presence
• Increase merchandise sales
• Provide reports to assist us in assessing the success of annual events

To achieve our goals Nest team advised us to focus on a pay-per-click (PPC) and paid social media strategy to drive registrations for each event. Additionally, our organic social media strategy aimed to engage a broader audience of players and spectators, bringing more potential players and local basketball enthusiasts to the live events.

• Sold out tournaments across the island.
• Monthly exceptional social media numbers.

I’m the marketing project manager at an international financial broker.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Nest SEM agency?

We wanted to introduce Google Ads into our acquisition and branding channel. We didn’t have an in-house expert.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We partnered with them to do our Google Ads campaigns. They put together the search ad description, paid ad description, the documentation, and the banners. They set up the tracking links for us, reviewing the results on a bi-weekly basis and optimizing according to the budget, audience, and results. Their team also did targeting campaigns as well, which was very useful in figuring out and analyzing the market together.

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with one person. There was another person that helped us out as well.

How did you come to work with Nest SEM agency?

Our CMO worked with them previously. She liked working with them, and she felt that she learned a lot.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Nest SEM agency started in January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was a success. We’re able to measure and review each campaign that we do to see new users that are brought on board and their deposits. They helped identify problems when leads were coming in and why they wouldn’t convert.

We could then optimize our own process. It’s not only what they do but they advised us on how to do it better on our side. There’s a lot of learning between us.

How did Nest SEM agency perform from a project management standpoint?

One person defines what needs to be done, but internally, they have more people that they split the work among. It’s better for us to have one contact person. We use Skype to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Nest SEM agency is the first marketing agency that I worked with for Google Ads. I’m pleased with their work but I don’t know how to compare to others. They have a helpful and professional approach to work.

If something is needed, they prepare it immediately. They send us reminders if there’s something they need from our side. They keep us informed. I like the communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we have for them to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try it out. Sometimes a partnership is the right fit, and sometimes it’s not. It depends on the expertise they bring and the people. It works for us, and hopefully, it will work for others too. Just go for it.

I’m the head of digital for AlphaCyprus. Our company runs TV stations in Cyprus. Along with that, we now have four online portals, including a TV website, an informative web portal, and an entertainment website.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nest SEM agency?

We wanted to start a Google marketing campaign, and we hired Nest to manage it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nest is managing our Google Ads campaigns. We’re doing SEO in-house, but we’re looking to expand Nest’s involvement in that area as well.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mostly worked with Angelos (Director & SEM Specialist), but I’m working with other people as well now, including Andreas (Director) and Marina (Digital Marketing Specialist). Marina is the newest member of the team, and she’s working with me on SEO.

How did you come to work with Nest SEM agency?

I got recommendations from industry contacts who’d worked with Nest. I had a meeting with them and found their ideas very engaging, so I decided to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

I pay them a monthly fee of €1,500–€2,000 (approximately $1,700–$2,300 USD) for campaign management, and we pay around €4,000–€5,000 (approximately $4,500–$5,700 USD) per month on Google AdSense.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Nest around July 2018, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We review the progress of the site every six months, and I’ve noticed that the organic reach facilitated by the paid campaigns is increasing very well. I’m getting very good results because of the campaigns we’re running with Nest.

How did Nest SEM agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven’t had any problems with deadlines at this point. They’re very good at time management, and they’ve given me the results we agreed on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Nest has very good knowledge about what they’re doing. PPC is a field I wasn’t very aware of, but they’ve helped me understand the benefit of this investment for my company, and the results I would gain. Everything they’ve promised to give me has been achieved.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I don’t have any specific advice, but I’ve worked with other PPC companies in the past, and I find Nest to be the most professional team of all.
