When I started the company, I knew I needed a professional to handle the taxes because of the company’s complexity.

They do everything from my corporate taxes to my personal taxes. They’ve also provided me with payroll services for my team.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with Doug (Tax Specialist).
How did you come to work with Mark M. Harnden CPA, PC?
They came highly recommended to me.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend around $2,500 per year, but it depends on the services. I pay a monthly fee but pay a separate cost for certain services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since roughly September 2007 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
First of all, the peace of mind their service provides is great. I wanted someone who knew the ins and outs of the new tax codes, and they continuously show that.
How did Mark M. Harnden CPA, PC perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate fluidly; we live in the age of technology so the distance between our teams doesn’t impact us. We use mail, email and video conferences. I know they’re always available for me.
They also give me concise reports and a beautifully bound read-out of all of my taxes after they’re filed. Their presentation is fantastic and allows me to file everything correctly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They continually are educating themselves on tax codes and earning credits. Their customer service is just excellent; they’re very mindful of their services. I’ve even recommended family to them. They’re top-notch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’d be great if they’d enable their clients to pay invoices online. I still need to use checks, and I’d rather be able to take care of it online.
