Marianne Donahue began her college studies as a French major, then moved into Interior Design and Business. In 1985, she started her own design firm, “Castles and Cottages” in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, working on commercial as well as residential accounts.
She first met Joseph Namnoun, owner of J. Namnoun Oriental Rug Gallery in 1987 when they collaborated on carpet selections for one of Donahue’s clients.
