Zyra Console WordPress Plugin
BACKGROUND
A startup based in Illinois sought to create a highly personalized WordPress plugin for bloggers. Their goal was to incorporate the capabilities of Google Search Console and natural language AI to optimize blog articles. One of the challenging aspects of the plugin was to generate a list of related posts for each blog post. The system was required to review thousands of posts and recommend the most suitable matches. This process had to be carried out on a daily basis to ensure that the related posts list for each blog post remained current.
SOLUTION
To leverage the benefits of various technologies and break down the work into smaller, more manageable portions, we developed the project using a microservices architecture. For generating related posts, we utilized NLTK and scikit-learn. Additionally, we accelerated the generation process by utilizing an AWS Lambda function. We adhered to WordPress standards when creating the plugin updater module, ensuring that the WP admin receives a notification as soon as a new version of the plugin is available. To handle background tasks that do not require user interaction, we incorporated AWS SQS to manage the queue.
For deploying the API, we utilized GitHub Actions, while AWS Amplify was used for app deployment.
The deliverable of the project included a WordPress plugin, customer portal (for managing and configuring the plugin), and an admin app for reviewing and managing the system.

Know Your Politician
BACKGROUND
KYP, a small startup, sought to develop an MVP portal that would educate US voters about their elected officials. The portal needed to enable voters to identify their candidates for upcoming elections by entering their addresses. Additionally, voters should be able to learn about each candidate’s position on various topics, including housing, abortion, and more. The system was also required to provide an admin with the ability to track business KPIs using a data reporting tool.
SOLUTION
We assisted KYP in the development of their portal, which was constructed using a microservices-based architecture. This involved separating functions into REST APIs, CSV file processing, image processing, and data reporting tool. Additionally, the portal offered a comprehensive administration panel to manage the data source. To provide an aggregated KPI dashboard for analytics and reporting, we built the data reporting tool on AWS QuickSight.

CareStream
BACKGROUND
CareStream, a health and wellness firm, presented us with a concept to create a SaaS platform that enables companies to offer health risk assessments and wellness advice to their employees. The system should enable employees to take HRA on a kiosk or mobile phone and receive wellness suggestions based on their results. Moreover, the platform should allow employees to schedule appointments with healthcare providers and track progress towards their wellness goals.
SOLUTION
Our team aided CareStream in constructing a Kiosk-based platform and cloud-based SaaS product. The platform’s architecture is structured around separating functions into microservices and mini-apps utilizing REST API. Separate mini-apps are created for Kiosk, mobile phone, healthcare providers, nurses, and company admins, while a super admin panel is established to manage SaaS customers. The system facilitates employees in taking HRAs, discovering recommended healthcare providers, and booking appointments with them. Once the employee visits a healthcare provider and resolves their health issue, the system incentivizes them for maintaining good health.

BACKGROUND
A real estate firm based in Texas was seeking to create an MVP portal that would enable investors to evaluate prospective multi-family real estate ventures. Investors could register and receive rapid analyses by providing basic property details or obtain detailed analyses by inputting complete property information. The client based in Houston wanted to transform a legacy desktop application into a SaaS platform for mowing service providers. The platform needed to enable service providers to accept online bookings for mowing services from their customers, as well as include a reporting tool with real-time location tracking to monitor their crews during service.

BACKGROUND
A start-up in California focused on education technology aimed to create a SaaS platform for companies providing CPR training, with the purpose of automating the teaching process. The platform had to fulfill the client’s requirements, which included features such as class registration, payment processing, inventory management for both physical and digital materials, course sign-ups, instructor management, paperwork record-keeping, payroll, profit and loss statements, and other tools that benefit students, instructors, and administrators in training centers.
SOLUTION
Our team assisted the start-up in developing a cloud-based platform, starting with creating a minimum viable product (MVP). The platform was then consistently enhanced over several months with the addition of new features and functionalities. Material Management System
BACKGROUND
We were approached by a C&F agency to develop a material management application for their numerous business locations. They had been receiving data from government portals in a specific format and requested a feature to import those data files directly into the system. Additionally, they required inventory management for the items they were supplying to end customers, as well as the ability to generate stock statements and other reports available for download in PDF and Excel format, allowing for printing, forwarding, or importation into other software.
SOLUTION
Our team assisted in the development of the application as a web-based platform, enabling users to access it from anywhere with an internet connection. We designed data import modules capable of reading data from various file formats and saving them in a standardized format within the system. To enhance usability, we created a reporting module which allowed users to view reports on-screen, print them out, and export them as either a PDF or Excel file.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of Know Your Politician (KYP), a small startup trying to educate voters in the US on their elected officials.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mandaliya Software?
I was trying to get my MVP off the ground.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mandaliya helped me build my platform’s MVP. We had several Sprints throughout the project, where they shared a Sprint log of everything that was being worked on and delivered.
Besides developing my platform’s frontend, Mandaliya also built the backend on AWS to allow me to do reporting. Additionally, they built an administrative portal to help manage changes on the platform.
From the administrative side, we can upload and manage candidates and officials and relate them to a wide variety of topics. We can also manage information about upcoming elections and calendar dates of the elected officials.
This platform also helps users identify their candidates based on their addresses, and they can research by topic to know each candidate’s stance on that topic. Finally, our platform has a reporting functionality to help me keep track of key KPIs for my business.

Alpesh (Co-Founder) was my main point of contact and the project manager. However, I don’t know how many more people worked on the project because I never met the development team.
How did you come to work with Mandaliya Software?
I found Mandaliya on Google. They were the most transparent company with their pricing for building my MVP.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $23,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–September 2021 on the first phase of the project. I already talked to them about starting a second phase the next year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve been getting good feedback from users about the platform. They really like the functionality around identifying political candidates’ stands on different topics and the ability to cycle through them to see who they align the most with.
How did Mandaliya Software perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated via email and used Google Meet for our meetings. We also had a Trello board to represent items that were being worked on in a giving Sprint.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Alpesh was very transparent. Whenever we discussed how requirements were being interpreted, he listened, understood, and fit those requirements into the necessary Sprint without causing much pushback, which was critical for helping us complete our MVP in a timely manner.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Mandaliya had an improvement during the project in letting us know their development team assumptions before developing a certain asset. At the end of a Sprint cycle, they delivered something different from what we were expecting. Alpesh clarified what they had understood, and from there on, it was a very transparent process.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Provide them with your requirements upfront, ensuring that they’re very detailed, and have a session with them to go through those requirements. It also worked well for us to build a prototype to show them how we wanted everything to function. Additionally, we discussed in detail other features and functionalities that couldn’t be displayed using the prototype.

I’m the founder and president of Carestream. We’re a health and wellness company focused on innovation and technology that connects patients with providers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mandaliya Software?
Current wellness systems obtain health care information from patients, but they don’t connect them with an expert or health care provider. We were trying to overcome that obstacle with our most recent project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mandaliya built a platform from beginning to end, including the UX and graphic user interface. Essentially, they took our prototype and well-detailed concept and took it to fruition in a little over a year. We had a previous project with them, which was a cloud-based SaaS that took us three years to develop.
Our most recent project was a comprehensive wellness platform for various users — it included nurses, health care providers, employees, and patients besides the super admin user.
The platform administered a customized health risk assessment and connected users with health care providers in their area. It also had an online scheduling system that could be managed by the super admin or health care provider’s administrative staff. It was a Kiosk-based version, and it could also be viewed on a phone or PC.
What is the team composition?
There were four people on the team, but we always discussed the project with one point person.
How did you come to work with Mandaliya Software?
For our first project, we went through several developers in Ireland, India, Pakistan, and the US. The project had some challenging portions, and we found that those people couldn’t deliver them.
We went on a job site called Guru, and we found Mandaliya there. We let four developers take small pieces of the project. Out of those, it was clear that they were the only ones who would get the job done.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $18,000 on our most recent project and about $25,000 on the previous one.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked with them since February 2014.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had many bugs on our prior platform, but it was because we had multiple developers involved in the project. On our last engagement, bugs have been minimal. However, when there’s a minor issue, they’re always available. They answer either immediately or within a day. On the other hand, customers have provided feedback saying that the platform is a much more efficient way to do business.
Additionally, we’re already in the piloting phase of our next project.
How did Mandaliya Software perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s been excellent. Our last project went as scheduled because we planned it all out before starting. Sometimes we were ahead, and sometimes we were behind tasks, but we met our project goals on timelines.
We didn’t use any project management tool. We charted the milestones on Guru, and whenever they met one, they would let us know so we could test it. We also used Skype for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their level of customer service is outstanding. We can contact them and address new issues or changes, and they have predictable responses.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their cost is a bit higher than other providers we use.

We needed someone to create and manage our software.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Mandaliya Software developed our software using PHP. We first presented our ideas, and they gave us some suggestions. The team then scoped out the project based on our requirements. We worked collaboratively to create the final product, which is a platform that helps CPR training centers run their businesses. The software is constantly evolving, and Mandaliya Software continues to add new features.
It has three different entry portals. There’s one for the administrator, who can use it to access the backend. The administrator can use features like a dashboard where they can manage classrooms and assign teammates to classes. Meanwhile, if an instructor enters their portal, they can look at their schedule and find archived lessons in the system to use as a reference. Lastly, students can log in to register for sessions and input their phone number or email to receive notifications.
