eBook: A New Future For Social Housing
Over the past few years, we’ve been helping SaaS company Voicescape to develop end-to-end, multi-channel campaigns.
As their content marketing partner, we work closely with their team to launch new products to market as well as look after their day-to-day content needs. So, when they were about to go live with their latest solution, Voicescape Caseload Manager, they needed us to come up with a full strategy to promote the technology and explain exactly what it does.
A relatively complex product, it was important for us to find a way to get across how Voicescape Caseload Manager functions in an easily digestible format. We also wanted to make clear why the software was so relevant to the needs of their social housing association audience – connecting their problems to a solution. An eBook fit the bill.
The eBook was designed to set the context around how technology and a risk-based approach can improve income recovery operations. In breaking down the challenges their audience often face, we structured the eBook to subtly position Voicescape’s new product as a no-brainer – outlining what it does, how it works, and the benefits among other useful insights. This was to ensure it added more value than a standard product brochure, which helped with lead generation.
With the content in place, we then went about designing the eBook and developing the supporting content to make this a truly full-circle marketing campaign – from the pre-launch emails to the post-launch landing page and social media assets.
Our team did all this in time to coincide with Housing 2022, Europe's largest housing festival and annual conference, so that Voicescape could circulate the eBook to delegates.

RPA & Intelligent Automation Annual Report
Since 2020, we’ve been developing technical blogs, case studies, emails, newsletters, brochures, social posts, and annual reports for intelligent automation recruiter Edge Tech.
The 2020-21 report, designed to provide organisations with essential tips and guidance for navigating trends in the global RPA and IA markets, was such a success that we wanted to bring it back for 2021-22 – this time with a twist. To make the report even more valuable and support the ideas presented in it, we formulated a list of questions to send to Edge Tech’s network of international industry leaders. They included “How has the pandemic changed the demand for RPA and IA?” and “What are the biggest challenges facing the industry going into 2022?”. Their answers were then used as quotes in the report, which provided further insight into the technical topic.
Once the content was finalised, we got to work designing a PDF of the report and developing the supporting content – from a landing page to pre- and post-launch emails and social posts. We further promoted the report in their monthly LinkedIn newsletter to increase awareness and encourage more people to read it.
Edge Tech’s report caught the attention of RPA and IA experts from around the world, including those from the likes of Gartner, and amassed hundreds of downloads.

Product Descriptions For Sportswear Brand Castore
Product descriptions are the most important aspect of any e-commerce website. They’re a valuable source of information for your customers and, when done right, they get them excited about what you’re selling – increasing the chances of sales. But writing unique and compelling product descriptions isn’t easy – especially when launching a new, time-sensitive product range.
That’s where premium sportswear brand Castore required our assistance.
Castore’s team enlisted us to write and edit the product descriptions that would accompany pieces from their most recent clothing collection. Our copywriters and editors came together to develop over 180 descriptions in time for their go-live date. We’ve since supported additional launches, developing more than 400 descriptions in just three months!
As Castore looks ahead to their spring/summer range, they will once again be calling on us to help put their innovative performance wear into words.
"Can't thank you all enough for managing to get all the descriotions done in such a short amount of time - we really appreciate it" - Holly Edwards, Marketing Project Manager

Targeted Content For Insurance Broker Capsule
Capsule – an insurance provider to high-growth, venture-backed startups and scale-ups – reached out to Making You Content to help them build awareness and credibility, create highly relevant content, and cut through the insurance noise.
We set about establishing their tone of voice, refining their process for content creation, and delivering a steady stream of copy – including blogs, emails and case studies – to support their ‘business as usual’ marketing strategy. We even assisted on ad hoc requests, such as press releases, award entries, brochures, social posts, and design.
One of their key focuses is celebrating and encouraging members of their target audience along their scale-up journey. To help with this, the Capsule team asked our copywriters and editors to support their research project. We’re now responsible for developing monthly blogs that highlight startups that have recently received venture capital funding and praise their achievements to date.
They’ve since asked us to work on a more detailed yearly round-up, called ‘The top 50 tech startups changing the game’, the first of which will be designed and distributed in spring 2023.

Interviewing The Stars For Cheadle Hulme School
Over the years, we’ve been helping Cheadle Hulme School with a wide variety of exciting projects – from a Horrible Histories-style illustrated book for new starters to campaigns designed to engage their alumni. So, when the school emailed us with a request to interview their former students for their annual magazine, The Old Waconian, we jumped at the opportunity to help them out.
To prepare for this extensive project, our writers prepared a list of relevant questions before virtually interviewing a range of alumni over several weeks – from a digital specialist to a lawyer-turned-scriptwriter. The knowledge gained during these discussions was then used to write up individual feature pieces describing their journey as well as how the school supported them in their lives and careers.
The magazine was well received by both existing and former students – and we look forward to working on future editions with Cheadle Hulme School.

Branding, Content Writing & SMM for Staffing Company
"The support from MYC has been invaluable."

Please describe your company and your position there.
hap provides flexible staffing solutions to a range of industries. But this wasn’t always the case – in 2016, hap exclusively staffed festivals and events. Our team of three supplied bar workers to over 70 festivals and events within the year – a massive accomplishment for a start-up. We’ve since rebranded to work with more sectors, including stadiums, hospitality, and theme parks.
Now, with over 75 head office staff, we provide anything between 10 to 1,000 staff members to venues across the UK every year. As the Associate Director, my role is overarching across many departments of the business.
For what projects/services did your company hire Making You Content Limited, and what were your goals?
As a supplier to mass events and venues, hap was the first to close its doors when the pandemic struck – and the last to reopen. Rather than wait for the return of normality, we took the opportunity to do a complete rebrand and improve our offering, ensuring we had our mission, vision, and values on paper – but we couldn’t do it alone. We didn’t know how to write good content, and we weren’t very good at expressing what we wanted to say.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We seek to partner with agencies that share our ethos and really ‘get us’. At hap, we’re very much about partnerships. When we approached MYC, we had an in-depth conversation with their team, instantly feeling that they understood our vision and could support us on our journey. They’re approachable, professional, and based in the same city as us (Manchester), enabling face-to-face meetings when necessary.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We reached out to MYC in late 2020 to support us with the website rebrand. We now have two dedicated websites for clients and candidates. Their team has since supported us with our social channels, case studies, thought leaders, and blogs (which they upload to our sites).
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work with Kelly (director), Helen (social media manager), and their team of copywriters, editors, and designers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
It’s really hard sometimes to quantify the success of social media content. But we do know that since we’ve been working with MYC, our brand is more recognisable and memorable – especially with the work they’re doing for our LinkedIn profile. Our clients now come to us and express praise for the content MYC produces. One of our biggest clients recently approached me and said, “Wow, what you guys do on social media is great!”.
Prior to working with MYC, we did nothing on LinkedIn. We’re now winning contracts and new clients just for having an active social media presence. We don’t pay for online advertising, yet we receive enquiries every single day from new clients coming through the website from organic sources. MYC has been a big part of this.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We’ve had a fantastic working relationship with MYC over the years, with Kelly as our direct account manager and Helen as our social media manager. We have regular catch-up calls with their team to ensure we meet milestones and deadlines.
They’ve challenged us to think more strategically in terms of content, and we’ve since redefined the scope of work several times to ensure we achieve our goals. We also recently brought on someone relatively new into a social media role. With the help and support of MYC, she’s progressed massively.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The support from MYC has been invaluable. We have a great working relationship with their team; they’re always open and flexible with our requests – constantly exceeding our expectations.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
MYC are fantastic. It’s hard to fault them. After two years of working with them, we’re now in a natural position to go in-house.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Edge Tech is a market leader in intelligent automation recruitment, focusing on disruptive technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Our main clients are scape-ups that have received a large amount of funding and need the best people as quickly as possible to achieve their goals.
For what projects/services did your company hire Making You Content Limited?
As myself and the rest of the team are all really busy running the business, we couldn’t dedicate enough time to marketing. We also didn’t have the time in the day to bring on someone new and get them up-to-speed with our business. That being the case, we were looking for a content agency to take the reins – one that knew what they were doing and could take that burden off us.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were lucky enough to have known people who had worked with MYC in the past. I don’t think there’s anything better than word-of-mouth, personal recommendations from people you know and trust. When we heard about what a good job the team at MYC had done, it was really a no-brainer for us to work with them and see how they could help us.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We initially began working with MYC in 2019 on one-off pieces, such as white papers and market reports. When we started working with MYC, we saw how interested they were, how involved they were in the process, and that really gave us hope and made us feel comfortable about growing the service with them, and evolving it from just those one-off pieces. The team at MYC now manages a lot of our day-to-day, week-to-week marketing, writing, uploading and sending emails, newsletters, blogs, and social media posts.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work closely with Kelly (director), our dedicated copywriter and editor, and occasionally the social media manager and designer at MYC.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There are so many content agencies out there that say they can do everything but don’t act on it. MYC are different – they put words into action. We’ve probably doubled our revenue each year since working with you MYC – and I don’t think that’s a coincidence, either. We have an incredible amount of people calling and messaging us directly from blogs, white papers, and emails written and sent out by the team at MYC. We now have a lot more time to focus on other important aspects of our business.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have regular video meetings with the team at MYC to discuss milestones, content ideas, and share insights. They also provide frequent updates via email or text (WhatsApp) to ensure we’re always in the loop on the status of our projects. They’re always quick to respond to us.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We get on extremely well with the team at MYC. They always exceed our expectations. If you’re looking for someone to use who you can trust, who will know will have your best interest at heart, and can get the right work done whenever you need it, call MYC.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Everything we have asked for has always been delivered on time and of the highest quality

Please describe your company and your position there.
Voicescape combine digital technology, behavioural insights and data science to help social landlords and local authorities connect with their communities, drive efficiencies and maximise revenue. As the Marketing Manager I oversee all online and offline marketing activities, working closely alongside our Chief Revenue Officer to ensure those activities result in a steady stream of marketing qualified leads.
For what projects/services did your company hire Making You Content Limited?
We were searching for an agency with the right skills, culture and SaaS experience to refine and deliver our content strategy. As a small team, we lacked the time and expertise to manage all of this in-house, so we brought on Making You Content to support us with copywriting, social media, paid ads and design services.
How did you select this vendor?
Having found Making You Content on Clutch.io, we invited them alongside a handful of other agencies to pitch for the project. As we had just gone into lockdown at the time, pitches were conducted over Zoom before choosing a vendor.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The initial focus of the scope was developing thought leadership content to help cement Voicescape’s status as market leaders in collections for social housing. MYC got to work on planning, developing and launching an end-to-end whitepaper campaign, which got the ball rolling on our lead gen activities and set the standard for further thought leadership to follow.
They’ve since helped us introduce our other digital solutions to the market: Compliance, Feedback, Wellbeing, and recently, Collections for Local Authorities. This has involved supporting us with a unique messaging hierarchy for local authorities, and rolling this out across brand assets and promotional materials. As our business evolves, so does the scope. The team at Making You Content really understands our needs and keeps us in the loop at all times. We’re really impressed with the work they’ve done so far.
What was the team composition?
I’ve worked closely with their director, copywriters, social media manager, and designer to ensure the tone of voice and visual quality is consistent across the board.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since working with Making You Content, we’ve seen a 250% increase in web traffic and managed to bring 779 new leads into our pipeline. On LinkedIn, we’ve increased our followers by over 320%, influenced 13,000 contacts, and achieved a 9% engagement rate. We’ve even secured a £105k contract directly from a single ad. It’s safe to say that Making You Content has been central to refining and delivering our content marketing strategy as we’ve grown over the past 18 months.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have bi-weekly meetings with their director, copywriters and social media manager to ensure everyone is on the same page when it comes to project deadlines and goals. We also communicate with their team via email and Trello on a regular basis and they give us frequent progress updates. If we have any feedback, they’re quick to reply and make amends without complaints.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They went above and beyond to learn about our digital solutions and ensure the content they produce is 100% accurate. Their ability to rapidly turn things around while maintaining a high level of quality is also second to none.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
It’s a lot harder to get key visuals right without being in the same room as the designer - big design pieces like presentation decks can involve a lot of back and forth. However we always get there in the end!

Content Marketing for Tech-Focused Agency
"They grasped the purpose of content almost immediately and this was reflected in the high quality of the output."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing Manager at an app development and digital product consultancy. With offices in the UK, US and India, we partner with some of the world's most well-known organisations to support their digital transformation projects.
For what projects/services did your company hire Making You Content Limited?
We were looking for strategic and tactical support for the delivery of our content marketing, including blog posts, research papers and case studies. Our content marketing output had tailed off due to other priorities so we needed a partner to provide us with added capacity and to provide their expertise from a strategic standpoint to ensure our content was as effective as possible.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals were two-fold. The first was to ramp up the amount of case study content on our website for sales enablement purposes, particularly in our target sectors. The second was to devise and deliver a new content series targetted at our specific target audiences. This included a fully fleshed-out content plan and deliverables.
How did you select this vendor?
Colleagues had already worked with Making You Content previously and found their output to be of a very high standard and the team extremely easy to work with. Myself, the marketing team and our CEO still carried out research on other potential suppliers but didn't think any of them were as good a fit as Making You Content.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
After setting out the scope of the work that was required, I had a call with the team at Making You Content to flesh out our ideas and set out concrete timescales for delivery. Throughout, the team provided a useful steer on how best to approach our content strategy, providing invaluable guidance on where elements could be improved and what areas would be best to focus on.
After the initial call, we prioritised the creation of case study content for one of our most recent clients. A call was quickly and proactively set up with one of our account managers to talk through the client partnership with Making You Content's content writer. From this, a case study was drafted in double-quick time, within 48 hours I believe.
The team and I were extremely impressed with the quality of work considering the turnaround time and only a couple of tweaks were necessary. We then provided Making You Content with a fleshed-out brief for our content series, kicking off with a 1000 word blog post.
Again, this was turned around rapidly with excellent suggestions in terms of tone, structure and content. They grasped the purpose of content almost immediately and this was reflected in the high quality of the output. As with the first case study, only a few minor tweaks were necessary from the first draft. Upcoming work will include another case study and further blog content with more work likely to follow.
What was the team composition?
The composition of the team has remained consistent through the whole process with their copywriter, director and operations manager all present on ideation and discovery calls. We have also worked directly with the same copywriter throughout, ensuring consistency of tone and quality, and providing a single point of contact.
They've always been rapid at responding to emails and are always ready, willing and able to jump on a call at short notice.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
As content marketing can take a long time to bear fruit, we are still in the early days of monitoring the impact of the work that Making You Content have carried out. Despite this, we've had excellent engagement on our social channels to the initial blog post with a noticeable increase in reach and impressions.
Feedback internally has also been exemplary. Bounce rate on the case study content they have created is lower than on comparable case studies on our site while time on the page is also markedly better.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The copywriter who was assigned to our project has been very easy to work with. They were always available to bounce ideas off and worked well with both me and the wider team. As mentioned earlier, the speed and quality of output was also exemplary.
Similarly, the wider team, which includes their director and operations manager, have always been available when we've needed them and have provided vital input and ideas for the project. They're a lucid, forward-thinking team who really know what they're doing when it comes to content marketing. No complaints!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They clearly know what they're talking about and have their finger on the pulse when it comes to content marketing. Also, for such a small team, their turnaround times are seriously impressive and that expedience doesn't come at the cost of quality either!
They were also quick to get what we're about as a company and what we're trying to achieve with the project, which had significantly in making the whole process run smoothly thus far.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Maybe initially it wasn't quite clear what the setup would be in terms of team structure and who we should be communicating with when it came to progressing the project. But, really, that's a very, very minor point in what has been an excellent experience. Genuinely cannot fault their performance or output!
Making You Content Limited has helped the client have an active social media presence, resulting in more contracts and daily inquiries. Customers have also praised the content they post online. The team's high level of expertise and flexibility has greatly contributed to the project's success.
