Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the director of marketing for a retail and consumer packaged goods food brand. I oversee all of our marketing efforts.
For what projects/services did your company hire Maine Creative?
We initially needed help with marketing projects for the opening of a new location. Maine Creative went on to help us with a variety of creative projects across the company.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to raise awareness for our new location, as well as create interesting and effective buzz around several other projects.
How did you select this vendor?
We started by approaching them for one small project to see how it went. They did terrific work, so we continued to hire them.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Maine Creative collaborated with my team and me to understand the parameters of what we needed. They adjusted the items produced based on my feedback. Projects included graphic design, live events, and press outreach. They also served as the frontline field producer for video production with third-party video and photo contractors. This included leading on-the-ground communication with a variety of stakeholders, including production staff, talent, other employees, and permitting agencies.
What was the team composition?
I always worked directly with Max (founder and creative director, Maine Creative).
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Their initial work helped accelerate the sales at a newly-opened location by producing successful community and brand-building events. They also successfully created packaging for a temporary small-batch product line that was well-received by customers. Other brand-wide projects and productions led by Maine Creative were important for continuing to grow our brand.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They were quickly responsive by phone and email. Max was always extremely receptive and never took feedback personally. He’s a terrific communicator, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They’re lean yet willing to take on any challenge. Several of our video shoots or live events had very small budgets. They did incredible work in producing great results with few resources. Maine Creative can make good things happen at a fraction of the cost of a bigger agency.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I'm looking forward to watching them grow.
