Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Linkage Technologies, which sources and sells printed circuit boards.
What challenge were you trying to address with Magnifez Technologies Inc.?
We implemented Microsoft Dynamics about a year ago. We relied on a Toronto-based firm to get us live but wanted to make more progress with the software. We relied on Magnifex Technologies Inc. to help us make further integrations.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Magnifez Technologies Inc. has been helping us get the most out of our Dynamics software subscription. They fully assumed the previous company’s role of managing the software and its licensing. We’re transferring our financial accounting from Quickbooks to Dynamics. They now serve as a help desk for us.
We’re planning to move our email off of the GoDaddy platform that we use to Microsoft Clients so that we can take full advantage of the Outlook integration in Dynamics.
We also have a plan to incorporate reporting functionalities that are more advanced than the practices we currently have in place. We’re also looking to do an in-depth assessment to see where we’re at with the Dynamics implementation.
What is the team composition?
We worked with directly Firoz (CEO, Magnifez Technologies) but engage regularly with his team, who provides help desk support.
How did you come to work with Magnifez Technologies?
Our financial director lives in Mysore, India, and he did a search for Microsoft Dynamics architects. I believe he found them through a google search. We had a round of phone interviews, and after shortlisting two different firms, we had dinner with them.
I really liked Firoz’s approach and found him to be sincere and easy to talk to. We also liked how practical they were; we could tell that they weren’t simply trying to sell us new software.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend roughly $3,000–$4,000 a month. Individual items have cost us separate fees.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2020, and it’s been an ongoing project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our financial director, who largely manages the relationship, has been incredibly happy with Magnifez Technologies Inc.’s work. I can say that they’re an honest, proactive partner.
How did Magnifez Technologies Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We use a ticketing system to get in contact with them. They’re always ready to jump in and solve problems. Every night, when I check my email, there’s some back-and-forth between our users and the Help Desk they established. That speaks to how responsive they are.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I enjoy how practical they are. They don’t try to sell you anything that you don’t need.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. I’ve really enjoyed working with them. I’m looking forward to seeing an ROI from our work with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Focus on what you want to achieve. Don’t just jump in and hand your mess to them. Communicate your specific goals, and hold yourself and Magnifez accountable for achieving them.
