How did you select Magin Web Design and what were the deciding factors?
We needed a team to manage all our online marketing needs. We decided against hiring another person internally hence the need for a marketing company. Simply used search engine and choose couple of agencies that meets our needs.
We wanted a small agency to ensure that we communicate our requirements closely to the team without the confusion of who we are dealing with which is a common issue we always had with big agencies.
We decided to go with Magin as we thought the duo represented what we are looking for. Small team, easy to communicate with. They also had ready made packages which cover all the services that we need.

Monthly SEO - technical on site SEO for our website as well as off site SEO which involves improving our visibility in search engines.
Ad Management - management of all ad campaigns in all platforms that we engage with.
We did not set up specific goals but wanted to see improvement with our overall brand awareness and search engine ranking month after month.

Both the owners were kind enough to handle the projects for us.

Number of searches using keywords related to our non profit organisation is slowly and steadily increasing by about 5-10% monthly.
Number of followers in our social media accounts increased by average of 10% every month. Content engagement is also improving significantly.

The duo is friendly, relaxed, and accommodating. We usually communicate via email, phone calls, and occasional video calls for urgent matters. Reports are shared with us without fair every end of the month.

We really appreciate the friendly and tailored approach. We always feel important and the quality of work reflects that they spend a lot of time to improve results for our goals.
We feel taken cared of. There is never too much to handle despite having only 2 people on their team.

For what projects/services did your company hire Magin Web Design?
Website design and development, hosting, site maintenance/security, and email management.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted a decent website that would represent our company well. Our Wix website has very limited with outdated features which needed redesign and updating. The website basically needed a major overhaul. Since most (60%) of our class bookings are through our website, it is important that our site booking is easy and seamless.
We needed a user friendly website that won't frustrate or confuse our clients. Not going for a complicated and overcrowded website. Not all of our clients are tech savvy hence we were aiming for a straightforward site where they can book and find information easily.
How did you select Magin Web Design?
We have previously paid an agency who I believe scammed us. After sending payment, the agency did not return any emails and phone calls. We always wanted to upgrade our site but it took quite awhile due to that incident. We decided to choose Magin Web Design as they were willing to meet us in person and they were willing to accept the terms we set out for the project.
We had other options to consider but in the end, we decided to choose Magins WEb Design as we liked their proposal best.

Create a simple, professional website in Wordpress from an old, basic Wix site. Create a monthly plan for the site's maintenance and security. Create and manage staff webmail system.
What was the team composition?
During the website development, we mainly spoke to Georgette. After the site was launched, Aivars was more involved with the maintenance and security matters as well as setting up the staff emails for us. I believe the couple handled the entire project themselves.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our old system was a quite disorganised. We merely used a white board to record schedules and bookings. Some of the staff had to use their own personal emails for business purposes. With the new system, everything was done electronically, with ease. All the staff had their own webmail. Classes were more organised.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It's like working with a friend. We can just send a short text message or email and our requests were done efficiently.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Love that we are working with just 2 people but everything was so organised and deadlines were met. Their friendly work approach was certainly a breath of fresh air.

Can't recommend anything so far.

I work very closely with the owner doing the overall administrative tasks for the company. We cater to other businesses as well as individuals seeking for property management skills education.
For what projects/services did your company hire Magin Web Design?
I was tasked to scout for the best company that can deliver our web requirements which was full website design and development service plus aftercare maintenance which the Magin team were able to fulfill.
What were your goals for this project?
Create a fast, optimised, and clear website which can be managed by ourselves no later than 3-5 months. Monthly maintenance of the website to include SEO, regular updates and security checks was also required.
How did you select this vendor?
I was tasked to handle selection of web design company. I mainly search through Google and contacted local designers. I narrowed down the selection to 5 options based on our budget, their expertise and work ethic. The board ultimately selected Magin Web Design due to their impressive proposal.

Magin team designed and developed our website. We only provided a document containing details regarding our company and a list of our services. All the content including texts and images were all provided by the company. They had the full creative freedom. After the site was launched, Magin also managed the maintenance of the website for us. Domain, hosting, updates, and SEO were all provided.
What was the team composition?
I was mainly emailing Georgette who is the main designer and owner of Magin Web Design. It was only her and her husband Aviars who was also helping with the web development. They are not an agency, however, the work done was excellent regardless.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Before the website was made, our marketing was only through word of mouth and use of promo materials like leaflets. Once the website was completed, it opened a lot of other avenues such as digital marketing, social media, email campaign, etc. Our average class of 20 per session was increased to 25 with twice the sessions in a week too!
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
All the communications with Magin team was through email which is our preferred way anyway. We were able to drop them an email anytime a discussion was needed. They updated us almost twice a week with the progress. No complaints!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We appreciate the "relaxed and friendly" approach of Magin team. We can just simply email a short notice or text them any time of the day. We don't mind this at all as it allowed us to be more open and express our requirements better. At first we suspected that work was outsourced but I'm pretty confident that Georgette and Aviars are both competent enough to havve handled the entire project by themselves.

We needed a website that represents our brand well which is UNIQUE and ELEGANT. My sister and I are both creative individuals but we decided to get professional help to make sure the website is something that we'll be hundred percent happy with. We required Magin Web Design for logo design and full website design and development. They also did graphic design projects for us for some of our promotional prints.

We chose Magin Web Design because they were local to us and they were the only company that understood what we wanted from the get go. The company was also quite happy to adjust their prices based on our budget at the time.

Making the logo and website was rather easy and prompt. All we had to do was forward information via email. We had few back and forth emails then everything was completed within the same month. While working with Magin Web Design, we fully entrusted the project to them and had no worries for the rest of the duration of the website making.

I initially found Magin Web Design on Google maps. I sent an email at first and was speaking to Georgette at first. I later found out that she is working with her partner Aivars. It's a team of two very talented developer and designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Within 3+ months from early January to April, our logo and website was done to our full satisfaction. I think it could've finished quicker if we were able to send all required content initially. Within this period. Magin Web Design were also designing promotional prints for us. We had a beautifully designed website with all the functionalities we needed. Our sales grew from what we initially had when we only had a Facebook profile.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Georgette and Aivars were quite easy to contact. We felt comfortable sending emails, texts and occasional phone calls anytime we needed to. All we had to do was give them a brief idea which they effectively delivered without difficulties.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Compared to our previous Web Designer agency, we felt at ease working with Magin Web Design. Apart from their excellent work, we enjoyed the working relationship the best. They gave us quite a personalized treatment which I think is lacking from other companies.

I don't think so. They were fab!
