We started Lyft after building sites and performing SEO services for our own companies. We realized the role SEO and Social Media Management played in growing our businesses and decided we wanted to share that with other small businesses out there.
Our team is comprised of entrepreneurs with experience in an array of fields including graphic design, website creation, marketing, communications, social media management, and, most importantly, SEO strategies and implementation.

Please describe your company.
PR Water Taxi offers water taxi services to Icacos Island in Puerto Rico.
What is your position at the company?
I am the founder and owner.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Lyft SEO?
When we started the business, we had no website and obviously no organic search results. The challenge was that we were trying to get a website built and get some organic search results for our business.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
Lyft created our website, they manage our social media, and help us market our site to other businesses, which provided back links to our site. This was important for our SEO [search engine optimization] efforts.
Lyft worked with us first to figure out our goals, and then to implement our wishes while staying within our budget. Our site now ranks number one for many keywords that are essential to our business.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
All told, we spent less than $10,000 working with Lyft SEO.
What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?
If you Google certain keyword terms associated with water taxi and Puerto Rico, we come up either in first place, or at least near the top. Obviously, we are very pleased with these results, and they've helped our business tremendously.
How did Lyft SEO perform?
Lyft SEO has been great. They met all their goals and performed to the letter of what they said they'd do. We are definitely happy with our decision to go with them.
What distinguishes Lyft SEO from other providers?
They were the only SEO company we worked with, so it's hard for me to compare or say what's unique about them, but they were definitely very professional and logical. They produced results without resorting to any shady tactics, which I know can be a concern sometimes.
Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?
I really wouldn't critique any area of their performance.
What advice would you give to a future client of theirs?
I would suggest that future clients do a ROI [return on investment] analysis of the SEO services Lyft provides. That was probably the biggest reason we went with them. Ultimately, the money we invested was definitely worth it, considering what we are getting out of it.

We are a DCFS [Department of Children & Family Services]-licensed day care in Springfield, Illinois. We offer child care Monday to Friday for children who are anywhere between six months and six years of age.
What is your role?
I am the communications director for our company.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Lyft SEO?
Our company had just created a new website. We didn't have the kind of online presence that we wanted, and so our goal was to improve our SEO [search engine optimization].
Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.
Lyft was responsible for improving our search engine rankings. They did some backlinking and they conducted some social media campaigns as well as on-page SEO with keywords and local SEO services.
How did you come to work with Lyft SEO?
We looked around at several different SEO companies. Lyft definitely offered the best cost for the services we required. They also had good recommendations from some of their other clients. So, we decided to go with them.
Can you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
The work they did for us was less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Lyft for approximately two months, back in 2014.
What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?
Our SEO practices became drastically better. We surged to the top spot, or the second spot, on many search engines. We were thrilled with this, considering the fact that our site was brand new at the time, and our domain authority was still relatively low. That's tough to do. Obviously, the more important takeaway is that we then saw an increase in inquiries through our website.
How did Lyft SEO perform?
We were very happy with this project, and with our selection of Lyft SEO. Lyft met deadlines, they offered valuable suggestions, and they really seemed to want to help our small business. That's a valuable combination of things you can't find just anywhere.
What distinguishes Lyft SEO from other service providers?
Lyft's team really seems excited about what they are doing, and they are always willing to help. They went above and beyond the call of duty as far as what we had actually hired them to do. They were offering helpful resources related to our website and SEO tips in general constantly. I could be wrong about this, but it seemed as though we were a relatively small project for them. However, Lyft never made us feel like we were not as important as some of their larger clients.
In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or are there things you might do differently?
Not really. If anything, had our budget allowed for it, we would have liked to use them for some additional services, such as social media management.
