A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the principal, owner, and creative director of Good Radar. We do film titles and motion graphics, mostly for feature documentaries and TV documentary series. We also do narrative feature films and TV shows as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
As a small business owner, I built my website myself a couple of years ago. However, web development isn’t something that I usually do, so I was aware that the site didn’t look great. Lately, I was getting more and better work, so I decided to have a web development company create a more professional site for me.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Lovage Inc helped me develop a site for my company. Initially, we talked about how the site should be organized, what the work categories were, and what type of content I had. Then, they broke the project down into different tasks, such as developing parts of the project that needed writing and others that needed to be accumulated.
Although Lovage Inc typically uses Wix to create sites, they wanted to try a new platform this time, which I believe was Editor X. Once we were over the discovery phase, they provided me with different templates pertaining to this platform to have something to start the design process from. Then, we picked one template and figured out how to customize it; it was a collaborative process.
After the design phase, Lovage Inc started developing the site. Throughout this process, they asked me a lot of questions and suggested various features and content additions.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Stephanie (Founder). I knew she had a team working with her, but I didn’t contact them directly.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
I’ve known Stephanie for some time now, and I’ve always liked her work. Over the years, we had talked about working together, so when the time was right, we did.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent around $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from August–September 2022; it took them about two months to finish the project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Developing this site was a very collaborative process, during which Lovage Inc gave me very cool ideas. They delivered a better-organized website than I originally had, and they made it look more professional, simple, interesting, and upscale at the same time.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Lovage Inc’s performance was perfect. Stephanie was very organized and responsible, and she met every deadline, ultimately exceeding my expectations.
What did you find most impressive about them?
From start to finish, Lovage Inc did everything perfectly — the entire process was excellent. They demonstrated to know a lot about the entertainment industry, and they were great copywriters.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I was very satisfied. Of course, we all always want things done faster, but quality design work takes time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would highly recommend working with Lovage Inc. Have a clear idea of what you want and be open to new ideas because they have great ones.

Good Radar
Good Radar is a Film Title and Motion Graphics Company in Los Angeles, collaborating with high end clientele (HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Disney, etc).

South Wake Capital

"A gorgeous new logo, a thoughtful & easy to navigate site, and advisement on all our marketing platforms and outlets. They made sure we experienced a seamless transition from our previous brand to the new one. Our website has been very easy for us to adjust, in-house, which is so refreshing compared to our last endeavor.” - JOSHUA ROSSIGNOL, owner

iMedis
We have been with iMedis through a few growth stages. The first one saw Lovage building a new website for this AI company as they entered a new round of funding.
Then, about a year later, we were called back to shift the homepage and one other page's design into a more tech-y / AI emphasis with both the design and content. This was accomplished by adjusting the color tone emphasis, adding some slickness and "cool" to the design elements and Lovage-created custom imagery.

Renew Waste Solution
Renew Waste Solutions and partner company, KB Recycling, are growing with their eyes on even more future expansion. Beyond a slick new look with focused communication offering clarity of their product, unique positioning in their market, and proof of expertise - Renew wanted to begin the process of uniting their companies with companion websites which were very simliar as they would likely merge, in future.
Lovage created the Renew Website then we duplicated our work and made adjustments for KB Recycling. The websites were launched, in tandem for an exciting new online presence to move forward with.

Choreografx
Innovative Projection Mapping and Interactive Art from the artists behind Innovative Visions. Lovage helped refine the name of this company and created a from-scratch website with custom artwork. A key need was visual consistency and flow with a real POW factor to accurately communicate Choreografx's POW creations.

BreatheIn Technologies
Lovage helped launch BreatheIn Techonologies by crafting a custom-designed website and influincing design, styling, and messaging choices for the brand, in general, through the process of fleshing out the site.

Allmond / Deutsche Bank
Deutsche needed to launch a sign up site for a Beta product and called on Lovage to help them set up the dual-language (English/german) website enticing visitors to leave their email address. The company wanted it to be slick, simple to scan, and enticing to users while looking professional and legitimate.
This test product and website has been retired but we loved this one!

DM&A
DM&A was sitting with a dated site design which did not clearly communicate their services or offer an accurate communication of who they are or properly showcasing their establishment and expertise. DM&A's new Lovage Inc. 30-day website fixed that!

TissueGen
Cutting Edge Biotech! Lovage did a complete online experience overhaul for TissueGen including current content & competitor audits, refinement of all content, a from-scratch custom website design with custom artwork, social microsites, and deep SEO.
"You have exceeded my expectation, and I'm grateful for your efforts." - KEVIN NELSON, founder & chief scientific officer
NOTE: TissueGen rebranded mid-2022 with a different marketing agency going from more "cool tech" (when they worked with Lovage) to a Corportate Market. The website at link is the Lovage website.

Visiting Aid
Visiting Aid was going through a growth phase - new rounds of investment, clarity on their messaging, honing in on their specialty and expertise.
Lovage offered a complete overhaul - rebranding their online presentation and communication via a new, custom 30-day website.
The before and after is a night and day difference from a stiff, generalized, dated look to a visual, softer feel with clear communication of their offerings and company.

PLAYDAY
PLAYDAY is a New York / New Jersey chain of studios offering children's art classes, camps, and special events. The company was exploding in growth and relying on their inhouse-built websites. PLAYDAY has their business set up with multiple, connected Wix sites and needed to maintain the backend they were used to while getting a total overhaul on the front-end experience plus adding some database control updates for more ease in their backend.
Lovage created a new website look and experience for them via our 30-day Website Production Process. We ultimately created 4 connected websites for them with a cohesive experience as you click around locations and the main site so the user knows they are in the same business without disruption as they move through the various sites.
This was a fun one for us and it was a pleasure working with the creatives at PLAYDAY!

Wix Website Redesign for Children’s Art Studio
“We saw them more as people and not as a vendor that we didn’t speak to or see.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of operations for a children’s art studio startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
We were looking to expand throughout the nation, so we needed our website to be user-friendly, clear, professional, and polished. To achieve that, we hired Lovage.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed to accomplish a lot in the beginning. When we started the project, Lovage went through every single class we had. They studied what we offered and what parents needed to do when they went to our website. The team looked at some other well-made websites, though they had the intuition on what we needed for our website. After that, they built the site on Wix.
Our goal was to streamline the process to one pathway; previously, we had a billion pathways to get to the same answer, confusing everyone. The team worked on the descriptions, information, and staff photos on the website. After they organized that pathway, they worked on the site’s visuals and colors. From there, we began tweaking everything to make it nicer and cleaner. They also worked on some of our SEO needs.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Stephanie (Founder) and a production manager who served as the liaison between us and their team. Ryan (Web Design & Tech Lead) served as the software engineer and website builder.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
Our founder inquired about a few Wix website builders to see how we could get the project going. Then, he found Lovage. Our founder did a Zoom call with their team, and Stephanie won him over. She was great to work with, professional, and honest. We were happy with that, so we hired Lovage for this project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from October–November 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We received no complaints when we launched the website. Moreover, my manager didn’t say anything about it, which was a good sign. People also knew where they were going and what was happening as they navigated through the website.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Lovage’s project management was great. They kept us informed throughout the project, and their resources were responsive. As a three-person team, they were highly organized; one person did one thing. For tools, we used Google Documents. To communicate, we used Zoom and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We had plenty of face time with the Lovage team. In fact, two of them visited one of our locations before we started the project. As a result, we saw them more as people and not as a vendor that we didn’t speak to or see, which was what I assumed would happen. Overall, we knew them as a friend.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should get a better feel of the project before estimating the timeline or locking it into a certain amount of time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Look at the type of project you need to do before going into the engagement with Lovage. If you want to grow a business, go big. Otherwise, invest smaller, especially if you’re only looking to tweak or update something.

Web Redesign for Valuation & Litigation Consulting Firm
"The team can understand our business and needs, and they quickly reflect what they learn into the deliverables."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner at Desmond, Marcello, & Amster LLC, a valuation and litigation consulting firm that specializes in business valuations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
We hired Lovage to modernize our outdated website to instill an impression of professionalism.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, we had an introductory call with Lovage in which they explained the engagement’s process and cost. During the contract phase, we signed an agreement and an invoice for half the partnership’s total cost. Then, their team provided a schedule that outlined the steps and timeline of the engagement. The schedule also covered Lovage’s design process and what they required from us in terms of information and review system.
In terms of documentation, Lovage requested documents related to our existing website. We also provided them with additional copy, headshots, and analytical data from our website in relation to end users. Moreover, they used a questionnaire to help them understand our business, culture, vibe, and goals. Based on those things, they gave us various options for design, style, fonts, colors, and overall website experience. Apart from those, the team also suggested having a timeline feature on the website, outlining the history of our business. They also recommended implementing a gallery view of our staff. They used Wix to do all of these.
At present, Lovage continues to make edits to the website, although it has already gone live. The team has also set us up on Google Analytics to monitor the website’s performance. We’re still in contact with them for a year to work on cleanup issues. The team also provides us with any assistance we need throughout that timeline.
What is the team composition?
I directly work with Stephanie (Founder) and Ayme (Project Manager). We’ve also had a conversation with Erica (Creative Director). There are other people on the team, but we haven’t interacted with them yet.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
Another partner at our firm met Stephanie through a networking event. Signing them on was an appealing proposition because we knew we could have an updated website within 30 days. For context, we’d been procrastinating about this project for over a year when we met them.
What ultimately made us hire Lovage was their ability to understand the issues we wanted to address while updating our website. They also understood how we were trying to modernize to target a younger demographic. On top of that, their pricing was reasonable based on our research. As a result, we signed them on.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $13,600 for their services; we paid $6,800 upfront and another $6,800 when the website went live.
What is the status of this engagement?
We engaged them in August 2021 and the website went live in October 2021, but the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re happy with the website, and we’ve received positive feedback from our employees and clients. The site doesn’t have any bugs at all; Stephanie has worked with our outsourced IT provider to ensure that everything is transferred to the website properly and seamlessly. The team has also remedied some design aspects that our team doesn't necessarily love.
Overall, Lovage has delivered and exceeded our expectations. They’ve provided us with a more modern, easily adjustable, and easy-to-monitor website.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management has been great. Their manager has a direct relationship with us, and she loops in everybody at Lovage to ensure they implement what we’ve discussed. Overall, they perform well. In terms of tools, Lovage uses Google Drive tools to manage the project, including Google Meet and Gmail.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Lovage delivers the technical and design aspects of the project while communicating and interacting positively with laypeople. Moreover, the team can understand our business and needs, and they quickly reflect what they learn into the deliverables.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be communicative and honest about what you want upfront.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP at HP Engineering, Inc. We provide engineering services to the architectural and construction community.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc.?
We needed their help in reinventing our existing website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an existing website, which we found outdated for our one-stop-shop needs. Lovage Inc. came into the picture to support our development pipeline by helping us strategize and implement new design solutions. They used Wix to build the platform and integrated new functionalities to accommodate our store upgrade preferences.
We continue to rely on Lovage Inc.’s team for site maintenance and feature updates.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Lovage Inc’s owner, web designer, creative director, and content manager.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc.?
I found Lovage Inc. through an organization, which their owner was involved in. We had a vetting process along with three other companies, but we thought Lovage Inc. was the best fit for us because of their thorough and deadline-oriented approach.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $13,600 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We kicked off our ongoing engagement with Lovage Inc. in May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve only recently launched the new site, so there are no quantitative metrics to share yet. However, I can confirm that Lovage Inc. has produced a sophisticated website that has elevated our business and has been well-received by our users. More potential customers have shared their interest in trying out our services upon seeing our improved platform.
How did Lovage Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via email and virtual meetings, and we track the project flow and deliverables through Google Docs. Lovage Inc. has phenomenal project management skills — I can’t say enough good things about them in that regard.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Lovage Inc. has a structured approach that allows them to meet both our timelines and expectations. We appreciate their proactiveness and the convenience it brings us because we’re also busy supporting other pipelines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We would’ve appreciated a more transparent scoping process to help us kick start the project with more information prepared, but they’ve delivered flawless results nonetheless.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared to engage in a fast-paced working environment. You’ll make the most of your partnership with Lovage Inc. if you collaborate with them effectively and deliver their needs when they need them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a startup healthcare private equity fund.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
We needed a website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us design, set up, and implement our website from scratch using Wix. At the beginning of the engagement, they sent us a full schedule of how they’d bring the project to completion. We had weekly meetings where we discussed strategy and requirements. I put together the content for the site, but they contributed the design elements. We’re not very design-oriented, so they took the lead on making sure the site had a modern aesthetic. They also implemented SEO best practices into the site, but it wasn’t the main focus of the engagement.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact was Stephanie (Founder). We also worked with Ryan (Production & Creative Specialist) and two other members of their team.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
One of my business partners had worked with them in a previous position. He had a good experience working with them, so we decided to reach out to them for this project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $10,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from February–March 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website looks great. We’ve received a lot of compliments on it from our clients. Our in-house tech person can still reach out to them whenever he has questions about the site, which has been really helpful.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
They were stellar project managers. From the first day of the engagement, Stephanie set forth a detailed 30-day plan that they stuck to throughout our partnership. The timeline was regimented and direct, which impressed me. We communicated via email and phone calls. For project management purposes, we shared Outlook calendars and collaborated on documents via the G-Suite.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were incredibly organized, which helped everything run smoothly. I didn’t believe that they could complete the project in 30 days, but they delivered the site as planned. The major snowstorm in Texas in March didn’t even slow them down.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Follow the rules they set forth. They’ll let you know exactly what you need to get done for them, so if you meet their needs you’ll end up with a really great website.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was a fractional CEO of a startup that represents a product from Israel that purifies air in a room. Our product was very effective in killing the COVID-19 virus in less than 10 minutes. We were bringing that product into the US and our goal was to create an organization that can be an integrator and sales arm for that company. I also have a background in branding, so I ran the branding for that company with some folks I worked with in New York.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
We needed someone to develop a website for the product we were representing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Lovage executed the visual and technical aspects of website development, and they gave us a backend that we could use to make changes going forward. Initially, we talked about the brand positioning of the organization and the kind of experience we wanted to put on the website. We then provided them with content and graphics, and they developed it through Wix, which was what they normally used.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a total of four people, but I primarily talked to Stephanie (CEO).
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
I met Stephanie through mutual friends. However, what impressed me was their ability to provide a very high-end website for a fraction of the cost that others would normally pay.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested below five figures for the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from May–July 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In terms of the process, we didn’t miss a single deadline and they delivered every single time. They worked really well with us to lay out a very logical process stepwise, and delivered the final output earlier than expected. In terms of the quality, we liked that they gave us a nice surprise. The splash of the first page was not really something that we asked for, but it was something beautiful — it sets the website apart and it gave gives a nice introduction to the organization.
I couldn't say enough nice things about the quality. The graphics and the layouts were very nice, modern, and up-to-date — it looked like a $50,000 website.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Lovage Inc performed really well. Sometimes, having a client who had experience in branding and web design would get in the way of the process. However, we had a really good dialogue. We let them do their job and at the same time, they leaned on us for the right kind of feedback. The project was done seamlessly, and from a project management standpoint, they stayed on top of every step — it was handled very professionally and pleasantly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s a cliché, but it was the bang for the buck. This startup didn’t have $50,000 to spend on a website, but it competed with organizations that did. We felt like if we looked at the five websites of our five closest competitors, none of them would've been as good as the product that we ended up with in terms of quality.
If we had somebody who positioned themselves as being able to lay something out at a low cost and quick fashion, we would've probably got a very pedestrian website. However, Lovage actually had creative and visual chops, which we received as part of the deal — and that was pretty rare at that price point. We definitely got way more than we paid for.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Lovage already shared a new kind of process with us, which they shortened even more. However, there was nothing they could improve on. If there was ever a slowdown, it was almost always on our end and about providing the content in a way that our organization was comfortable with. We had not had a website go that smoothly before.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice would be to trust them and let them do their job. They know what they’re doing and they have a process of doing it — don’t micromanage them. Rather than superimposing something else and muddying the waters, I'd recommend you let them work at their pace, so they can bring you along to get the best out of you. Part of their secret sauce is that they really work fast, yet the quality remains high.

Overall, Lovage was a great team to work with, and because of their wonderful efforts, we received positive feedback from our partners.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and co-CEO of a writing agency. We specialize in organic social media content, copywriting, and feature writing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lovage Inc?
We hired Lovage Inc to develop a new website for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Lovage Inc helped us choose a creative direction by creating a framework and a mockup for our website. We needed the site to be customizable, so we could update it frequently. It was developed on Wix.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three people from Lovage Inc in total: their CEO, an account manager, and another member who was in charge of the technical work.
How did you come to work with Lovage Inc?
We used to be collaborators for a previous client.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from January–February 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Lovage Inc created a website that upgraded our overall brand. It’s a site that we’re proud of and we would want to share with other people. Even the ones who already saw it agreed that it was a product that emulated our brand well.
How did Lovage Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
We used tools such as Google Meet and Hangouts to communicate with Lovage Inc, apart from exchanging emails. They developed the site within a specific timeline that they shared with us through a spreadsheet.
Lovage Inc presented us with suggestions that were carefully based on their expertise. They predictably met deadlines and set up meetings that allowed us to plan ahead in terms of project management. We had enough time to put the project together in a concise way.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Within the predictability of how they managed the whole project was their team’s creativity. They really captured who we were as a company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At the beginning of the process, it was a little overwhelming because there was too much information being given to us too quickly. They could slow down that pace in the future so that people could catch up with their process better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They should be ready and have all their ducks in a row. If they have any branding, language, or photography assignment that they need to get together, they should do so before signing the contract. That way, it would be easier for them to proceed without being stressed about deadlines.
After a very collaborative process, Lovage Inc delivered a professional, simple, interesting, and well-organized site for the client. The team’s performance exceeded expectations due to their timeliness and organization. Additionally, they demonstrated impressive knowledge and copywriting skills.
