Feedback summary:

LogicalTrust.net's work improved the client's platform. They had such good project management skills, the client never needed to ask what the status of the project was and they knew what everyone was doing.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CTO of the LegaVote company. We develop an online voting platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire LogicalTrust.net?

To meet the voting platforms regulations, we have to regularly perform security audits on our systems.

What were your goals for this project?

We had two goals : - Find anything that may be used by an attacker to penetrate the system or vote for another user - Produce a document to prove we performed penetration tests and our system is robust enough

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We work with the LogicalTrust company since a few years now... They performed penetration tests on other software we develop or co-develop. We needed a trusted company for that sensible job so the choice was quite obvious to work again with LogicalTrust.

Describe the project in detail.

We sent an access to the LogicalTrust team so they can evaluate the project and send us a quote. Once the quote accepted, they performed both automatic and manual tests on the platform and even proposed to enlarge their mission to cover something that was not planned (with no extra charge). They produces a report of all elements we could improve with clear explanations for each point. Our team could then modify a bit the platform and LogicalTrust tested again these modifications to confirm the modifications were valid.

What was the team composition?

Ania took care of the contract/quote aspect. Radek, tech load of the project, handled the penetration tests and sent us the technical reports. Mateusz made sure everybody had all elements to perform their tasks properly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We improved our platform based on the LogicalTrust report.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We never had to ask the project status... we knew exactly who had do to what and when.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Even during the pandemic, they delivered their reports and performed their analysis as if the world were as it should!

Are there any areas for improvement?

Keep up the good work guys, that was perfect!

LogicalTrust.net's efforts improved the client's IT security. The workflow was simple, and although the communication was sparse, effective. The client commends the team for their professionalism, technical expertise, and expansive experience.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

InsERT S.A. is a leading Polish software house catering for the SME sector. We offer off-the-shelf solutions, both in traditional desktop sense and on-line, covering most of our clients needs like invoicing, warehousing, accounts, human resources. My experience with the company spans more than 20 years, I'm the IT Department Manager at InsERT.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire LogicalTrust.net?

We hired LogicalTrust to perform a security audit of our internal IT infrastructure and our key on-line services.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to inspect, analyse and boost our IT security.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We queried several leading pen-testing companies in Poland. LogicalTrust's offer was the most comprehensive and they were available to work with us sooner then their competitors. As they come from Wroclaw, our home town, arguably there was some local patriotism involved as well ;)

Describe the project in detail.

They analysed and tested our key internal IT networks and services. They examined our corporate website and e-mail system. They also staged a phishing attack on our employees. At the end they produced a detailed report with the results of the tests and their recommendations.

What was the team composition?

I was the person responsible for the project on InsERT's side. Other people involved were our systems administrators and web application programmers. On LogicalTrust's side there were a couple of pen-testers whom we contacted directly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results and recommendations are confidential. But our overall IT security was definitely improved as a result.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between us during the analysis was in fact limited. But the contact we had was free of any issues.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive were LogicalTrust's professionalism, technical expertise and vast real world experience.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that I can recall.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a CTO at MailPoet, a company selling email newsletter software and providing email delivery services to small businesses internationally.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire LogicalTrust.net?

We hired them to do a security audit of our primary software product, “MailPoet Newsletters”, which is a WordPress plugin. We also needed an audit of our company's website.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to discover as many undiscovered security issues in our products as possible.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our past CTO found them for a previous project. We were happy with the results then, so they were a clear choice for this project as well.

Describe the project in detail.

They audited our WordPress plugin and website code along with penetration testing of the products.

What was the team composition?

Our primary focal point was one of the penetration testers, but overall seven security analysts worked on the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They found several dozen security issues of varying severity, which our internal engineering team had missed. These results helped make our customers safer and provided peace of mind for our engineering team once the issues were fixed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was effective. Their team knew what they were doing and what to look for and they updated us along the way. From our side, only answers to logistical questions were necessary.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every time we use their services, LogicalTrust.net is able to identify non-trivial security issues that we would otherwise miss, and present such issues in an educational way to help our team spot similar issues in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we’re completely satisfied.
