A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the digital marketing manager for a career website specifically for healthcare professionals.
What challenge were you trying to address with Location3?
The biggest challenge we were trying to tackle was that our company wasn’t doing very much display marketing for brand awareness. Location3 helped us do more with reaching our key healthcare demographics through brand awareness, programmatic and retargeting strategies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The scope of the project was to help launch the second phase of a big display campaign. We knew from previous experience that Location3 had a lot of expertise. We wanted to give the project to a full-service agency specializing in digital marketing. They basically provided a service to us of display advertising for brand awareness, prospecting, and retargeting.
How did you come to work with Location3?
I had worked with Location3 at a previous company.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Location3 in July 2016, and our work together is ongoing.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We have seen a great impact with our work with Location3. We’ve served display advertising to over a million healthcare professionals, and Location3’s expertise is helping us prospect for healthcare professionals specifically. They’ve helped us increase our key performance indicators and traffic to the site, including applications and registrations from healthcare professionals.
Overall, the campaign has given our other marketing channels a tremendous lift. The work has included the usual advertising you see all over the Internet and social media, but they’ve also created a banner ad that has a movie within it.
How did Location3 perform from a project management standpoint?
Location3 is very responsive. Our two direct contacts are always available, and they provide great reporting to us. They’re willing to be flexible with the reporting. We have some pretty strict deadlines of when we need some of our metrics in order to report to key stakeholders within our business, and they’re always happy to accommodate. We primarily use email and phone calls to communicate, but we do have in-person meetings every few months.
What did you find most impressive about Location3?
I think Location3’s level of expertise in their field and their responsiveness are their most impressive qualities. We’ve worked with other digital marketing agencies, and you definitely don't get a same-day response from them. Location3 is willing to help you with tracking or any problem you might have to make sure that the campaigns are successful. They don't just rely on their own metrics to tell you that things are working. They want to help you with your Google Analytics or Omniture analytics, whichever one you're using, to make sure you're happy with the data that’s coming into your business.
Are there any areas Location3 could improve?
I can’t think of any areas Location3 could improve. I’ve had a great experience. I worked with them at a previous company, so I knew they were a go-to company.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is Two Roads Hotels and we are in the hospitality industry. We have almost 100 properties around the world. I’m the AVP of corporate e-commerce.
What challenge were you trying to address with Location3?
We were looking for an additional agency to help our hotel properties with their digital marketing strategies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’ve done pretty much everything from the digital marketing side of things, from social media to metrics. Right now, Location3 is working with 3 of our properties. They are providing strategy and implementation for SEO, PPC, and online media They are also helping with website enhancements and changes in strategy as well.
How did you come to work with Location3?
They came from a referral from a friend in the industry. What we really liked about them was their focus on SEO, PPC, and metrics.
How much have you invested with Location3?
It depends on the property, the size of property, what the target market is, and the competitiveness of that particular market. A good range is anywhere from $60,000 to $200,000. That would include PPC, SEO and online media per property.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since the beginning of this year. Our engagement is ongoing.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
The property has been very pleased with the SEO rankings for the local market. It’s a very competitive market and they’re seeing very strong results already. We’ve been very impressed with that.
How did Location3 perform from a project management standpoint?
From my understanding, everyone’s been very pleased with the attentiveness and the due diligence in moving projects forward.
What did you find most impressive about Location3?
The one thing that’s nice for us is we work with many agencies that are hospitality specific, which is great. But it’s also nice having an additional agency that isn’t hospitality eccentric. They’re savvy in it but they work across many industries. That’s great because you have the thought process from many different sectors versus just the one. Location3 seems very savvy on the metrics, SEO, and PPC. They look at the big picture and analytics of things in order to make very smart decisions. They also have an eye for detail.
Are there any areas Location3 could improve?
I haven’t heard anything negative at all.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for an online career center and job portal for professionals in the healthcare industry.
As the Vice President of Marketing, I oversee the team who manages various marketing functions including branding and direct response advertising, digital, content and social marketing, in-house creative services, email marketing, employer marketing, and Ad Operations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Location3?
We were looking for a local, digital agency partner that would spend time getting to know our brand and understanding our audiences. We needed a partner that could hone in on ways to effectively reach job seekers across the many different specialties found in healthcare. We recognize that it takes strategy, discipline and continuous testing to understand what publishers, networks, messaging and creatives resonate with different kinds of professionals and we needed the support from an agency whose primary focus was on digital marketing.
How did you come to work with Location3?
I’ve had experience for nearly 10 years working with Location3 in other industries such as higher education, health and wellness. So when I assumed my current position at this company, I was eager to leverage their expertise in this sector as well. Location3 has provided me a very comprehensive approach to digital marketing that ranged from SEO, SEM, Display and Social.
How much have you invested with Location3?
That is confidential.
What is the status of this engagement?
We are currently working with them.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
It is still relatively early in this program since we began working with them in August. However, the work that Location3 is doing has helped to raise the awareness of our brand. As we look at our analytics data, we are seeing a lift in many of our channels. They are continuing to help optimize the campaign so that we see our cost-per metrics are improving. How did Location3 perform from a project management standpoint?
I think they are doing a good job. They had to learn our business and understand the demands from us as the clients. There were a lot of pieces to this campaign, and it takes good project management. I feel like it was not flawless when we launched. There were some things that could have been smoother, but it’s not for lack of effort or understanding. We recognize there is an onboarding period for partners! Each week they continue to get better and we are pleased with their efforts. What did you find most impressive about Location3?
Given my long history with Location3, I have developed a tremendous amount of trust in them. They have proven themselves to me time and time again that not only do they understand digital marketing they also demonstrate that they do have some skin in the game - that they want to see us succeed as a client. Are there any areas Location3 could improve?
I think there’s always an opportunity for agencies to streamline and stay on top of the details. Clients can be hard to deal with. We can send a lot of emails, have a lot of conversations and change our minds often! But I do expect an agency to stay on top of the campaign as much as possible.the project

"They [Location3] have a lot of insight about the digital media and digital marketing industry because they’re very involved."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the senior vice president of marketing for FASTSIGNS, a B2B franchisor. Our franchisees help businesses solve their visual communication challenges using signs and visual graphics. This could be helping with branding and rebranding, promoting a product or service, helping people find their way around in a facility, etc..
What challenge were you trying to address with Location3?
We started working with them on small projects and we’ve grown over the years. We started working with Location3 because we needed to improve our web presence. We needed to improve our SEO. In addition, we needed to find better ways to use the website for marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Location3 does a lot of things for us. They handle our SEO, both for technical and on-page content. They manage our brand PPC as well as those of our individual locations. We work with them on some of our social media - providing us content on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+. Everything that touches the web, paid and not paid, involves Location3. At the same time, we have an in-house team that covers a lot of things. We post some content and they also post some articles.
How did you come to work with Location3?
I met them at the DMA [Direct Marketing Association] trade show in San Francisco. Since we were looking for a vendor, we had an engaging conversation with Alex. We liked what they had to say and the rest is history.
How much have you invested with Location3?
We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the 10 years and a lot of time.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together for about 10 years. I think we started in January 2007.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen our web visits increase year over year due to a multitude of efforts. We’ve made progress collectively. It was not just digital media, though that plays a large role in it. We’ve been able to improve our SEO every year and get quite a bit of organic traffic. We test and promote posts. After seeing which are getting more engagement, we put more money behind that.
How did Location3 perform from a project management standpoint?
Location3 does a good job of managing projects. They keep things moving while staying on budget. We are in constant communication and keep in touch via emails, phone calls, weekly meetings, or face to face monthly meetings. There’s an account manager on our team who’s our primary contact. We also have a schedule and editorial calendar content plan. I wouldn’t say they haven’t missed any deadlines in 10 years. On the rare occasion that they’ve been responsible, Location3 stepped up and took the high road. When there are missteps, we figure out how to make things better.
What did you find most impressive about Location3?
Location3 is on the cutting edge. They [Location3] have a lot of insight about the digital media and digital marketing industry because they’re very involved. Since they have a great Google partnership, they get access to betas and other things that other agencies don’t necessarily provide. They’re very proactive about trying to keep us ahead of what’s happening next.
Are there any areas Location3 could improve?
I can't think of any.
Traffic and KPIs have improved, and more healthcare professionals have applied and registered on the site. The campaign has positively touched all levels of the company's marketing. Notably, Location3 always took the time to make sure the client could evaluate and access the relevant data.
