LocaliQ was tasked with effective marketing to bring customers to our business. This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had with any company I have ever dealt with. The ONLY thing they did well was relatively fast responses and friendly customer service. Otherwise, the ads were laughably bad, and they had no strategy (Just brought people to our website). I told them many times how they could improve their ads and even supplied / suggested strategies.
They did not make any changes in that regard. They charged me over $10,000 and told me they could not tell me what the charges were for. Meaning, I had no idea what this money was going toward (Was it fees? For ads? What ads?) They refused to tell me and said that is confidential information. Due to their lack of transparency and ads that did not work well, I told them to discontinue services until further notice.
They continued to send me invoices (One for over $30,000) with no explanation of what that invoice was for. I cancelled services entirely. They proceeded to charge my credit card for over $8,000 for no reason, and acknowledged it was a mistake and said they would refund it. It's been 12 days and I still do not have a refund. Stay away from this company!

However I was constantly billed for large sums of money without any explanation of what the fees were for. In fact, they said they COULD NOT TELL ME what the fees were for. The ads they did were terrible, and brought no leads, no engagement. It's as if they have no experience at all.

LocaliQ/ReachLocal increased our web prescence with SEM and SEO advertising. (We added additional solutions and products over the years) We saw an immediate increase in revenue when we started to advertise with LocaliQ/ReachLocal.
Their marketing helped us promote specialized and niche lines of products. We tracked sources of sales and can attribute LocaliQ/ReachLocal increasing gross sales and revenue continually year over year. In the first full year advertising with LocaliQ, we saw a 12% increase is revenue and 18% increase in profits.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
As previously mentioned, we saw year-over-year sales, revenue, and profit increase while using LocaliQ/Reachlocal. In the first year of advertising, we saw a 12% increase in sales. As we added different tactics, we little by little found our online presence could dominate in certain categories. Being in the home furnishing business, we marketed through social media to females between 35-65 and achieved top-of-mind status for our category in our geographic area.

We were very happy with our rep and her team. We have been extremely satisfied with the results the AdWords team and LocaliQ's platform delivered. Over the years, the SEO team increased our organic presence to the point that we dominated the first page in certain of specialized categories that we sold. Timing on developing creative and revisions of ad proofs was always efficient and fast. The creative and display teams always provided us with fresh, clean products.

In the retail business, sales and profit are the number one factor if an advertising campaign is successful. LocaliQ almost always exceeded our expectations. If I had to select one, most impressive factor of our campaigns, it would be our sales representative Kim and her team. She was always available by phone and email when we needed anything. Her quick response, attention to detail, and expert advice helped us make fast revisions to our campaigns and optimize them.

I’m the chief acquisitions officer at Amerinote Xchange, a loan acquisition firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with LOCALiQ?
We wanted to outsource our PPC campaign, and if they were good, we wanted to expand it outward to brand awareness.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
LOCALiQ’s primary task was our PPC campaign. We had a marketing director who had a successful PPC campaign. We were trying to pass it off to LOCALiQ to free our marketing director to do other things.
Initially, we gave LOCALiQ full access to our PPC campaign. They only needed to copy and paste the campaign, look at our data, and tweak it. They ran it on Google and Bing; it was an easy task.
What is the team composition?
We were in contact with five teammates and communicated with one person regularly.
How did you come to work with LOCALiQ?
We were told they were affiliated with a well-known newspaper.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $5,500. They tried to charge $11,000, but we pushed back.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October–December 2022.

LOCALiQ completely dropped the ball almost immediately, and we fired them in mid-December.

We got charged an never got one lead. We never even got access to the dashboard.
How was project management handled?
They were responsible for creating everything, but we already had assets and ads. We gave LOCALiQ the ads we used that were very successful. They said they could do it better, but it was a nightmare.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
It was the worst marketing service we’ve ever experienced. We’re not sure how they’re in business.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
When you sign an agreement with any agency, don’t sign a personal guarantee. The company is buying the marketing services, not you. They’ll want you to sign a guarantee that says that if the company can’t make any payments, you’ll step forward. However, that’s not the way an agreement should be when it’s B2B; only banks ask for that.
Additionally, I recommend addressing timelines clearly, checking Clutch, and reading reviews. Clutch is the only believable review platform out there. Don’t ever listen to other online reviews; they can easily be controlled by the person who owns the page.

We tried working with Rick, Lauren and Chadi, but it ended up to be a waste of a LOT of money and time with this company. Bottom line, THEY DID NOT DELIVER the leads and closes we were expecting. NEGATIVE ROI! We WASTED money on them.

This was from beginning to end the absolute worst marketing experience I've ever had. You would be an idiot to hire them. The worst aspect is that there was no way to communicate with anyone at the company to get the project modified. They offered no support line, and when I did reach someone, I was told that they couldn't even find my account.

They have a terrible workflow. There was nothing but either delay, apologies, or no response at all.
